Jose met with me and was absolutely friendly and personable and professional. He gave us a good quote and came out and did the work without a hitch. Great work and very overall pleasant experience!

I had some trees and stumps removed and some big trees trimmed back. The crew was friendly, fast and worked hard. They cut up the logs into short pieces so my husband could easily split them without having to cut them again. Jose has the best equipment which allows more work to get done in a shorter amount of time. I’m sure I will have them come back as I have a lot of big trees which I love… but they need maintenance!

Jose and his team were fantastic. He was referred to me to take out some dying trees in my new front yard and he had his guys there two days later and the two trees were gone and everything was cleaned up in about 2 hours. It was incredible to see how fast they worked. His prices were also a fraction of the cost of some of the other tree removal services in the area. I would not hesitate to use P & J Tree Service again or to refer them to friends. Great experience!

I just used this tree service for the first time and was very happy. Price was reasonable and the team worked four hours on a Saturday on multiple trees. Very prompt and friendly service.

Jose and his team did a perfect job trimming a Chinese elm next to our house. They did exactly the job we discussed beforehand (taking off a branch overhanging the house), cleaned everything up beautifully, and were in and out in a few hours. They charged a very reasonable free, which was almost 40% less than the other quote we got. Highly recommended! We will use them again.

Jose & Company did a SUPER outstanding job for me last Friday. This is the second time I’ve used P&J for tree service and general yard work. I had palm trees and Yuccas and lots of hedges that needed to be trimmed and cleaned. They do beautiful work!

P & J Tree Service Inc was recommended to us by our landscape designer. We’ve used a variety of tree services before with mixed results. Jose Morales, the company president, promptly came to our house the next day for an estimate. He explained how they would remove the four very large trees, grind out the stumps and thoroughly clean up the area when they were finished. They arrived as scheduled the following day with a crew of seven very experienced, well coordinated employees. They spent most of the day cutting down the huge trees, a couple over 100 feet tall. They cut up all the trees, hauled all the wood to the front and chipped and hauled away everything. I was impressed that they only turned on the very powerful chipper as they had gathered enough for the next batch. They all worked very well as a team and were very safety conscious in their joint actions and communication. They arrived the next day to grind out the stumps of these huge trees; one was nearly three feet across. I was amazed when they arrived at the house with several large grinders on top of a heavy equipment trailer. They choose a very heavy duty stump grinder that with careful manipulation just made it though several gates to get down to the back yard.
Our neighbors called later to say our back yard now looks so much better and without the unsightly stumps previous companies had said they could not grind out.

I’m in Residential Redevelopment, so I need a tree service company that is efficient and knowledgeable. The employees of P&J are great. They are always on time and I can depend on them to get the job done correctly.

I have many huge eucalyptus trees in my property. Called several tree companies and getting some ridiculous quotes. Jose gave a reasonable price without any BS, and they got the job done fast and nice. They removed two big eucalyptus trees and trimmed all others heavily. They have actually done than we originally agreed. Now I am enjoying my bright living room without the extra shades. My neighbor and I are very happy about this work. He will definitely be the go-​to guy for my tree works in the future. Highly recommended!

Jose stopped by after work on a Monday. Gave us a quote and said they could do job on Saturday morning. Crew showed up at 8am. We’re very nice, gave us time to move cars then got to work. We are very happy and will use them in the future.

Jose and his team thinned out and sculpted our oak tree because it was beginning to sag under its own weight. They showed up on time and went right to work. I asked that they protect our small orange tree below the Oak and it was still in great shape after the work. The price was good, the work was done well and we will use P&J again.

First let me say Jose arrived promptly for an estimate. He was super friendly and his estimate was half of some of the other companies. I asked when they could complete the job and he said tomorrow! I jumped at the time. The crew showed up a little later than planned but Jose called to let me know. This crew was amazing! It was like watching an orchestrated event. I have never seen a tree disappear so quickly. They had the entire job cleaned up and gone in just over an hour! (before and after pics posted)
I can tell you if I had other trees to trim, I would not hesitate using P & J Tree Service again. They were wonderful to work with.

After receiving several bids from Unilocal finest for a large job I had on over a half an acre in Pleasant Hill I decided for one more and boy am I glad I did. The efficiency and professionalism that Joe’s guys exhibited made me a believer. Not only that, I have a small house in Oakland with only one tree that needed trimming. He handled that just as good as the big job I gave him. (being a Construction Inspector I should know) Now I have a «go to» tree guy I never have to second guess. Thank you P & J tree service!
