Dr. Thompson and his staff are, quite simply, the best. My wife and I have been patients of their services for decades and we have always had very professional and pleasant visits. I whole heartedly recommend them to anyone seeking the very best in dental care.

My whole family has been going to Chris Thompson’s for about 30 years! They’re always on time with very professional, and more importantly, cheerful staff. My schedule changes are never an issue. And I’ve had really good results for various dental issues over the years.

I’ve been going to Dr. Thompson since the day i had teeth! I can’t imagine going anywhere else. He feels like family, and my hygienist Christina is equally as wonderful. I never dread going to the dentist, and i feel like they really care. This is a model of how every medical professional should be. I will be so sad when he retires.

I started going to Dr Thompson about 5 years ago and have had a truly wonderful experience.
First off, logistics; the administrative staff is on top of their game, scheduling appointments and getting reminders works like clock work. They’re always easy to work with, accommodating, and have a friendly attitude. The office is clean, well maintained and the chairs are comfortable.
Secondly, regular cleanups. After not having gone to the dentist for about 3 years in my mid-​twenties, I was in dire need of some regular maintenance. Once we got my un-​told number of fillings taken care of I was super motivated to stay on top of my dental health. All my regular cleanings and x-​rays have been quick and painless experiences. The hygienist staff are great professionals who take time and effort to clean your teeth properly. They’re also friendly and talkative which helps pass the time; but if that’s not your thing, there are iPods to listen to and TVs to watch as well.
Finally, specialty services; this is where Dr Thompson’s abilities truly shine. To put it mildly, I’ve been rough on my teeth, I tend to grind and clamp my teeth all night long and don’t even know it. At the age of 30, I had worn down my teeth to the length of someone twice my age. After talking it over with Dr. Thompson, we decided to do something about it. The first step was to get custom bite guards made to stop the damage. The second stage was to get custom veneers to recreate the smile I had lost. We started with teeth whitening to get my surrounding teeth to the color we wanted to match. Then we went through a procedure to shape my teeth and create molds for my new custom veneers. After a couple of weeks, we had a follow up appointment to permanently install my new teeth. Dr Thompson has a great understanding of all the materials used for cosmetic dentistry, after some discussion we decided to go with a glass ceramic: lithium disilicate. There are a few advantages over porcelain veneers; namely, greater durability (for a grinder like me), opacity that better matches actual teeth, and thinner wall thickness that leaves more of my original teeth in place. I’ve been living with my new smile for over a year now, and couldn’t be happier.
All in all, my experiences with Dr Thompson’s office for both regular maintenance and specially cosmetic services has been exceptional.

My family and I have been longtime patients of Dr. Thompson and have always received the best of quality care from his office. His staff is knowledgable and personable and takes the time to make sure everything is done right. I appreciate knowing I will get an honest and expert opinion when it comes to our dental needs. Over the years we have had many dental services ranging from simple cleanings to more complicated esthetic veneers and have always been pleased with the expertise and end result. I am very appreciative to have been a patient these many years and can’t recommend Dr. Thompson’s office highly enough!

Dr. Thompson is an excellent dentist. I have been going to Dr. Thompson for over 20 years and have never been disappointed in his work. I started going there as a child and continue to go there as an adult. I travel from San Francisco to Walnut Creek to see him as I have not found anyone else who is as good as him. The staff are friendly, it’s easy to make appointments and I feel his fees are fair. Additionally the office is clean and well maintained. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a new dentist.

My personal and family dentist since 1974, a better dental expert you will not find. Dr Thompson’s staff is as meticulous as he is and they make your visit almost enjoyable! I have a great set of teeth thanks to Dr Thompson and his entire crew’s efforts.

Dr. Thompson ruined three of my perfectly good teeth. He insisted that I needed to have three fillings replaced. The fillings were in fine shape but he led me to believe that I needed to remove the old amalgam filling material and replace with porcelain. My teeth have bothered me for two years since he did the work. I have had a root canal and two crowns because of his shoddy work. I would not recommend my worst enemy to to Dr. Thompson!

I’ve been going to Dr. Thompson for a few years now, so this review is long overdue. I am not one that particularly likes going to the dentist. I take care of teeth with cleanings every 6 months, but in the past, dentists have been rough leaving my gums tender and bleeding. Not here! They are so gentle, and provide a light numbing gel for my gums so I feel nothing. I never knew this was available until I came to Dr. Thompson. He also recommended a mouth guard because I was gritting my teeth at night. My insurance did not cover it, so I told him that I could not afford to pay $ 250 for the guard. He offered to do it at no charge! It even came with a cool glow-​in-​the-​dark case.
He is caring, honest, and doesn’t recommend a bunch of dental work that is not necessary. His team is friendly and knowledgeable. And, the squirrels and birds put on quite a show to distract you from the work they are doing.
I highly recommend Dr. Thompson, and he will be my dentist until he retires!
