Outstanding work and customer service! Greg arrived at the scheduled time, efficiently replaced a broken sensor on one of our doors, and lubricated the remaining doors. Very professional and courteous. It’s nice to know that there are still a few top notch businesses out there that care about their customers and provide a high level of service. Well done, Alhambra!

We had a Genie garage door opener with a mechanical failure one Friday morning. Based on some good reviews, I called Alhambra Garage Door. After some discussion about the situation, we decided to have them come out to install a new LiftMaster unit. Amazingly they were able to come out the same day, a few hours later. They quickly had the old unit out of the garage and the new unit installed, which works great. The crew was pleasant, efficient, and answered all my questions. Couldn’t ask for better.
I was particularly impressed with the honesty of the people I dealt with. When I originally called to see about repairs to my existing garage door opener, Greg recommended a different garage door company that has more experience with Genie openers (although he pointed out that an opener as old as mine might be difficult to get parts for). It was this forthright attitude that convinced me that if I were just to replace the opener, this would be a good business to deal with.
This honesty extends to the crew as well. I have two garage doors and two openers, the other one the same vintage but still functioning (noisily). I asked about whether the other opener should get a proactive replacement, and the answer was «not yet… we’ll just lubricate it and adjust it and it should last you a little longer».
100% satisfied. When my other garage door opener needs replacing, I’m going to call these guys back.

These guys are AWESOME! By garage door spring broke on me this morning and I was dead in the water. I called the original company that installed my garage door but they were booked for the next several days. I called Greg and he sent over his installer Dallas immediately. Dallas was extremely professional, courteous, and he did an excellent job. He finished in about half the time he quoted me and got me all dialed in.
Often times we take things for granted and having a functional garage door is paramount for me. I am really grateful for having a company like Alhambra Garage Door to help me in an emergency like this. A+ work.

When we moved in, the doors fell apart! 40 year old home will do that to you! So, Greg came out here and completely «hooked» us back up. Great service call, straight forward, reasonable. We are going to call him today, to get a replacement estimate for both doors.

LACKS PROFESSIONAL ABILTY. I decided to write this because it is always nice to be reminded of the importance of getting 3 or more bids.
Greg came out, looked at my garage (three car garage) and told me it was too difficult a job. He tried telling me I needed new framing to widen it. (I am a woman). I have a very knowledgeable contractor and 4 other garage door quotes, so I quickly schooled him on what would and would not happen.
When a guy shows up in shorts and measures before he even comes to the door, lacks any literature and doesn’t write anything down — I shouldn’t be surprised that 3 hours later I got an email like this:
«Thanks for giving us a chance to bid on your garage door project, I have decided to pass. There’s so many issues to deal with and when it involves Carriage house doors which need more space to run properly, I’m not sure we can do it right so it will last a long time. I’m not saying it can’t be done, there’s just too many variables that me me un comfortable.

We first thought we had to replace the spring in the garage door but Greg found a crack on our garage door and recommended replacing the whole door because sooner or later replacement will have to be done due to the crack. Very reasonable price and good work, will definitely recommend Greg to friends who need garage door fixes.

Our garage door spring broke at 8:30 pm on a Thursday evening. Both cars were in the garage, so we weren’t going to be able to go to work until it was fixed. Called Alhambra and left a voice mail message that evening hoping to get a call back first thing Friday morning.
Alhambra actually called about an hour later and promised to be at our home first thing in the morning. They showed up at 7:30 am Friday and had it fixed in 30 minutes. GREAT SERVICE! Thanks so much, Alhambra!

Our heavy wooden garage door came off the rails yesterday morning. I was stuck! I had no idea who to call. I looked at Unilocal and Alhambra had some of the highest ratings. I called and they could come out the same morning! I was so afraid we would have to replace the door or the expense to fix it would be horrendous. Dallas showed up ahead of the scheduled time frame. He was a complete professional and exceedingly competent. He repaired the door quickly and made sure everything was working properly. It was all done with a responible cost! Best experience ever!!!

Not only did Alhambra outbid other companies, but the work is perfect. And punctual. Greg, is honest and frank. He told me how to go cheap, but what would break next.

Our garage door broke after a cable got pulled off the rollers. My husband was unable to fix it so I called around. Alhambra Garage Door was the only company that answered the phone (on a Friday around 1300. He was able to come right out and fix it in under 1 hour!!! Thanks so much for the great service!!!

Springs broke and cars were trapped. Our normal company could not service us until the following day. Called Alhambra and Greg answered at 3:10p. He said he could «have someone» there between 5−6p. Greg arrived at 5:20p, replaced the springs (said they typically last about 10 years) made an adjustment so the door does not open as much, keeping more tension on the lift cables to decrease the possibility of the cables jumping off the rollers. Greg was very efficient and professional. $ 275 minus the $ 25 coupon printed from the website.

Still 5 stars. One of the wheels came loose from my door and I tried to fix it, but made things worse. Greg came by and fixed that and another issue in 20 minutes. Easy to communicate with via e-​mail or phone.
First time I called Greg was to install a new motor.

My garage door opener decided to self-​destruct, shearing the gear clean off the spindle. After poking around online for a DIY fix, I needed to call in reinforcements. Enter Greg.
He returned my call promptly, we discussed the issue, and we were able to set up a time window for him to stop by. Greg was on time and definitely knows his stuff. He opened the garage door opener up and had the gear and spindle replaced before I knew it.
Greg inspected the entire garage door system, lubed the creaky door joints, properly tensioned the chain, and got it working better than when I moved into this house. Super smooth and quiet now. If anything goes wrong in the future, without a doubt, I’m calling Greg.

Consider this:
Just before I called Alhambra Garage door, I called a servie that popped up in a Google search. That $ 29.00 deal was a mistake. A hustler tried to get me for significantly more money and was pushy.
I felt that the hustler would not have provided very good service or an effective repair.
I was glad I followed my instinct to reject him for Alhambra Garage door.
The price was fair and it was at least $ 200 less than the shady guy. In the end the repair was a simple job that took only 15 minutes and better than original springs were installed.
Incidentally, by coincidence, our friend’s garage door failed exactly the same way the day before. She was present while Greg worked. Satisfied, she scheduled for repair too.
