Westchester at the Pavilions Apartments

Currently living in these apartments and are excited to move out! We were so excited when we moved in but now I’m even more excited to move out! When we first moved into our apartment, it was FILTHY DIRTY! Hair everywhere, sticky stuff everywhere and even worse… Old hard throw up on the blinds! It took days to clean it. None of the «secured doors» open with the key they gave us. We have to walk around to several doors to find one that works. I called and told them and they said «hmm it’s your key and no one else has told us about this». But it must be everyone’s key because no one can get in. There’s LARGE amounts of illegal actions going on in our apartment, drugs especially! Our fire alarm went off because someone was smoking marijuana. My boyfriend had work that night and was woken up from it. I called the next day and they said «there isn’t much we can do about it, sorry.» Also, the crime, two people have already got held up by men gunpoint and robbed. Real safe? Every Time I call to ask a question or need help, they never answer! I’m so done with this place already. We’re really thinking about moving out early.

This place is a total disappointment. My boyfriend and I were very excited to move here but we’re very soon sad that this is where we chose. The walls are paper thin and neighbors are incredibly loud. The guy that lives above us smokes lots of weed in his bathroom with the fan on which circulates all the smell into our apartment. And he’s not the only one. We’ve seen multiple people sitting in their cars in the parking lots doing drugs and making drug transactions. A women was held at gun point and assaulted in the stairwell because the security doors are worthless. There is trash EVERYWHERE on the complex. I can’t walk my dog without having to maneuver through broken beer bottles every time we go outside. I’ve seen rats eating the garbage that people throw anywhere they want and the offices response was «yeah there’s not much we can do about that». And office manager Krystal is a joke. She is rude and impatient and will do everything she can to make sure your problems don’t get resolved. I’ve met several people here who are cutting their leases short and moving because the price is completely outrageous and you get nothing for it. I could go on for days about all the problems we’ve had living here this is just some of it. Do yourself a favor, save your money and your sanity and don’t even consider this place.

I had such high hopes for this complex when we moved in, sadly in the time we have been here the management has done nothing to fix any reported problems. Noisy neighbors playing very loud music (hey I like music too but there are limits), people not cleaning up after pets, parking in handicap spots, the locks on the security doors never seem to be working anymore and we recently had a sexual assault and robbery in one of the buildings… still no security cameras, the rent here is sky high and they can’t afford cameras?
Bottom line… if you have a family, look else where. Its just not a community I would feel safe moving my family into. I will be contacting a lawyer to get out of my lease soon.

This Apt complex is not the best. The property manager is never on site when needed. There is dog poop located by the mail box and that been there for about 1 month. I also noticed dog poop in my building made a phone call for them to send the cleaning crew and it was not removed until Mon and this happen Fri. SMH… To many and I many to many teenages. Pull up the Charles county Police website and look at the crime. Break in cars, gambling on and by the tennis count. I mean it is horrible. If you can avoid this place Please do…

The community is nice aesthetically but the management could be better. The community manager’s lack of concern about the neighborhood, safety and other issues baffles me. I have emailed her about issues with my heat, noisy neighbors and several incidents of dog feces IN the building and right outside of the entrance. The only response I get is that «we’re working on it». Meanwhile the issues continue unresolved. I’ve decided to cut my lease short and move. I think if the community manager was present and more involved, this would be a great place to live.
