Maui Dive Shop Scuba offers small group, SCUBA diving trips to at least two different destinations every day of the week. From the Cathedrals at Lanai, the gentle Manta Rays of West Maui, the adventure of Molokini Crater, to the wreck of the St. Anthony and more — Maui Dive Shop Scuba invites you to experience the truly amazing underwater world of Hawaii!

We can accommodate up to 24 divers and snorkelers on the Maka Koa, our Pro 48′ Dive Boat. Departing out of Maalaea Harbor, the v-​hull, twin-​engine, jet driven vessel provides comfortable seating and amenities for a quick, safe, convenient ride to each dive location.

The boat is equipped with two marine heads (bathrooms), a fresh water shower, padded seating, refreshments, and all necessary safety equipment.

We provide water, sodas, juices and teas, as well as fresh fruit and snacks on all dive charters. Our morning dive charters include breakfast with bacon, eggs, pastries and coffee and a deli style lunch.

Our knowledgeable crewmembers will provide onboard briefings to familiarize you with the boat, our equipment, and the spectacular marine life.

History

Established in 1978.

Maui Dive Shop Scuba Charters has been taking divers to the best locations in Hawaii since 1978 when Bob Chambers started Maui Dive Shop.

We are the largest dive company on Maui and feature an impressive group of dive masters, skilled USCG licensed captains, highly-​trained crew, plus the biggest retail dive centers and classrooms in South and West Maui.

Meet the Manager

Jeff S.

Manager

Jeff Strahn has been with Maui Dive Shop since 1986 and has been the General Manager since 1990. He has worked in almost all areas of the company and currently oversees all daily operations for the company and its two subsequent charter boat operations.

He is originally from Bozeman, Montana where he graduated from High School and Montana State University. Jeff holds a BS in Business Management, with minors in both Finance and Marketing, and has a strong understanding of financial management with more than 40 years of management experience.

Jeff is certified as a SSI Scuba Instructor Trainer, PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor, Red Cross WSI Instructor Trainer, Dan 02 Instructor and Emergency First Responder Instructor. He continues to dive on a regular basis and has logged over 3000 dives.
