Food was good but the service is awful! They are so slow. The girl that helped us took forever. As if she had all the time in the world & she really didn’t know anything about the food. You have to wait in line & for your food for a while. Really isn’t worth the wait. It’s too bad how slow their workers are.

Food is great, but service is horrible. Those girls don’t even smile and make faces if you make changes to your order. I think they forget that their paycheck comes from our pocket.

This place is packed! Get ready to stand in line for the baked goods — but they’re worth it!

The food is good(except the sweets like Moyetes) but the service is ridiculously slow no matter what time you go. And the same person serving is the same person charging you not only does it take more time but there’s no washing of hands or gloves worn

The restaurant is beautiful. However, guest service is horrible… not because staff is rude, but because of the structure used to serve clients is horrible. We are forced to wait on a line for 40 minutes to try to order food. During that time the line becomes overwhelming. All you see is kids sitting down on tables bored because the parents are waiting to order. The elderly are forced to wait for almost an hour to order their food. I don’t get it, the restaurant side is pretty big, enough for people to sit and have servers come up to them to take their clients orders instead of the long ridiculous lines. I mean, what if want a refill? I need to wait another 30 – 40 minutes? The structure to tanking orders needs to change. This is like being in a Central American mercado(open market) where people scream for their orders and fat ladies rubbing themselves against people and invade ones personal space while one is trying to order food. This is a nice looking restaurant with horrible waiting time. If management really takes care of this issue, clients will leave happily and wanting to come back.

So glad they’re closer now! My family been going to the LA location forever, I work down the street so I’m glad I can just come here for lunch! Everything I have ate is quite tasty! My go to is hilachas! I always get a side of sour cream, is deeeeee best! But everything I have ate here is pretty much on point! The panes are great for a quick bite, it does get pack and they don’t take orders over the phone that is why I’m giving them 4 stars because it can be time consuming. But everything else is on point! And I know you can order online and have it delivered but I’m the type that like to stretch my legs from work.

They’re customer service sucks! The ladies that served me were not well-mannered. They do not seem to be enjoying they’re job. They did not smile did not have a friendly attitude or attitude of serving with pleasure and joy. These people do not represent Guatemalan people in a good way. The food is ok I give that a 3⁄5. They do not make you feel welcomed or want to come back.

If I could rate this place less than 1 star I would. Service isn’t great. The people who work there look lost. The manager who was working was just as lost as the rest. I wasn’t expecting anything so great so I wouldn’t be disappointed, but I was more than disapointed. I wanted to like this place I really did because I was looking for something like this near by. I waited in line like 30 min n another 40 min to get my food. They saw me waiting there and no one would ask what I needed or perhaps a «you been helped». They have no organization and communication with one another. The manager didn’t help to give better service why is she there? When I finally got my food after I had told them its been 30 min where’s my food. they replied with a «oh what’s your order?».then they go check n come back n tell me they ran out of what I wanted… it took them 30 min to tell me they didn’t have what I wanted. bad customer service. the food is bleh… this place needs better management and training !

I always make my husband stop here every time we come to the valley. Everything is delicious. I always get the arroz con leche and the plantains. The restaurant is always clean and the employees are always friendly. I would definitely recommend it.

Meh, this place is alright. Food was okay but the servers are oblivious, the ambiance was like a cafeteria, and it was WAY too loud inside. The market was pretty cute though.

I did not get to go in, because my kid’s were asleep in the car, but my mom and uncle did. My family is from Guatemala and he was in love with this place. Prices are so fair and the food is amazing and authentic. I wish I lived closer!

I have been going to the one in Los Angeles since I was a child. Once the valley location opened up, I have been a happy camper. I love everything they have there. The breakfast plates and the tacos are my favorite. It’s always crowded but most definitely worth the wait, they are pretty fast tho.

My parents have been loyal customers to the Beverly loaction. When this one open we were all happy! Everything is the same but this place is bigger. The staff is super nice and friendly. Bakery: The only bread you’ll see in our kitchen. Seriously! The flavor only gets better. So moist. I enjoy it with my morning coffee. My fiancé is mexican and prefers Guatemalan bread. Food: It’s hot and ready to serve. No complaints! The closes it’ll get to the way grandma use to make it. My favorite is Pollo con crema! Delicious!

Ive been going to this place probably since it opened, My families been going to the one on Beverly since it opened. I was surprised how long it took them to expand to more locations especially Van Nuys where alot of Guatemalans live, I grew up there and would drive to Beverly, then I move to Texas and they open one in Van Nuys, lol, the have a good variety, even mexican and salvadoran food, I notice mostly women are leaving bad reviews, is it player hating on the lovely ladies that work here, who knows, we all have to get over ourselves
