History

Established in 1968.

The first John Knapp Studio opened in 1968; but really began much earlier with the dreams and actions of a young boy including inspiration from his dad, Russell Knapp who was very creative with both still and movie cameras, audio recording on a record cutting machine and latter on tape.

The first studio was in Azusa in 1968.

John received much training from directors of Eastman Kodak.

Since then much schooling plus the experience of establishing a total of 12 studios in California has developed in today’s Knapptek John Knapp Studios in Upland.
