History

Established in 1969.

In the summer of 1969, Jack and Doris Dimond (pronounced Diamond) purchased what was then Tyler Lincoln Mercury in Tyler, Texas. Legend has it that it was Doris who came up with the name Jack O’ Diamonds, a clever twist on Jack’s name using a playing card theme. Whether the legend is true or not, the name definitely stuck and over 40 years later, Jack O’ Diamonds continues to serve its hometown of Tyler as well as Jacksonville, Lindale, and all the surrounding communities. For over 30 of those years Jack O’ Diamonds Honda has been proudly selling and servicing Honda automobiles and trucks, a brand synonymous with the highest standards of quality and value.

I didn’t have my vehicle serviced here but i did call because i was traveling back to dallas from Louisiana when my oil pressure light came on and i was nervous but i called here and spoke w/​service advisor Ms Paula who was so helpful and reassuring. She assisted me and i explained what was going on as i was stuck at a gas station in tyler, tx and i know nothing about tyler. She even gave me her cell # and all and i was able to drive my vehicle to Dallas to my regular honda dealership to have them look at it. Thnx Ms Paula your caring and helpfulness really changed my mood and helped me thru.

I can’t even express how happy I am that I got my 2001 Honda checked out here. I scheduled a diagnostic because my AC went out. They were fantastic and had very good communication. They also did not over charge me. I was quoted that it might cost around $ 119 to do a diagnostic and possibly refill with freon. They called me and asked questions about my filter in AC system. Turns out I just needed a new filter and that was all. My bill for the whole thing was only $ 76. I couldn’t be more pleased. They were very professional and I have absolutely no complaints. 5 stars!!! I was almost ripped off by Sears auto. Sears guy said my compressor was bad and it would be $ 900. So glad I took my car for a second opinion.

Bought a 2015 Honda Accord sport. Kevin was the sales rep that helped me with my purchase. Everyone is helpful and nice. I’ve taken my car in for oil change and it was done quickly. I didn’t feel pressured during the sale. He was patient with me during this important decision… allowing me time to make up my mind. I was dreading the whole idea of looking for a new car. I’m glad I went to Jack O’ Diamonds to purchase my new car.

Probably, every car dealer is pretty much the same… but this time I have to write.
Went in, found the car we wanted on the lot. Had advertised deals I was satisfied with from other dealers in DFW with me. I demanded that the price match the advertised from DFW and I’d take it. Salesman agreed, wrote the price down on his card along with the stock number and handed it to me. We left for lunch, returned to buy, and the sales manager took us to his desk.
First he disputed the price. I showed him the card. He made a big show of paging the salesman and looking angry. Salesman was (poof!) nowhere to be found. Lots of fake angry shouting ensued. The guy was a bad, bad actor. it was funny, then sad, then insulting. I told him so. That made him mad.
I have to say, most dealerships, when they attempt to screw you, at least try to fool you in some reasonable way, with fake charges or small print… these guys are stuck in the 60’s or 70’s with their weird play-​acting. It’s like a parody of car salesmen.
Like I said, who knows what really goes on behind the scenes in these places, but at least this one is really unpleasant and we’ll be avoiding it… and it gives me second thoughts about owning a Honda in Tyler, Tx. I’d have to go to these yahoos for warranty service.

I have been buying cars since 1972. Never in all those years was it as easy as dealing with Jack O’Diamonds Honda. Paul and the sales manager were low pressure, transparent and above board all the way. Now, make no mistake, they make their living selling cars but here, when the customer (me) says no, then no finishes it. And, please remember they can’t give cars away, so don’t insult their kindness, do your homework and know the price. They met the fair market price.
I love my new Honda Accord Sport. Thanks to all at My dealership.
