I want to give this place a billion stars! I had some really serious issues with my car and had to replace the entire engine. I had gotten my car towed to several places before I heard about Micro Import and I was almost gonna call it quits. I am so, so thankful that I found this place. They offered to tow my car to their shop themselves and get all the work done. The service was completed in a very timely manner and the staff was so pleasant when I came in to pick it up. And this is coming from someone who was extremely jaded from having her car burn out on her, so I cannot express enough how grateful I was to be dealing with kind and honest people.
Would highly recommend Micro Important Service to anyone!

You know the quality of this place has really gone down. Tony was the last person to have helped me and he was super rude and snobby when I asked his questions about my car. I know I’m not an expert and that’s why I asked for their professional opinion but he was completely snarky. The past visit I experienced, they told me I needed my rack and pinion to be replaced because it was causing a rattling noise and the total cost would be $ 983 and I couldn’t afford it at the time so I passed. A week later I ended up visiting some family in Scottsdale that recommended I take it to Scottsdale protech instead and get a second opinion. I went in there and found that it wasn’t the rack and pinion at all and to fix it they only charged me $ 430 for labor and all! After Scottsdale protech fixed my car, the noise was completely gone! I don’t know if I could ever go to micro imports again after the way tony treated me and the amount they were going to charge for something that could be done for way less than half the price they offered. Think again before taking your car to micro!!!

OK, so maybe I should just start doing TV commercials for these guys. You can tell from everyone you meet at Micro that they LIKE working here and are committed to doing quality work. The last few times I had my car in for regular service, they let me know that I’d have to think about bushings and struts sometime soon. Sure enough, that time came. It’s an expensive repair, but their prices are fair. After nearly a month, I wasn’t completely sure everything was as it should be – my ’07 Civic had developed a few new squeaks and noises. They saw me right away, inspected and drove the car, had me drive it with a mechanic, made a few adjustments (a newly missing fender clip, tightened the hood and a mud flap) and presto, that solved it. And since it was follow-​up to a previous repair, they did not charge me. Micro really «gets» customer service and does great quality work!

What lovely guys! Our truck broke down in Tucson on the way to Austin. They diagnosed the problem, gave us a quote, and, when it turned out the repairs were going to be more extensive than what we could afford, went above and beyond to help us figure out what we should do next, even offering to let us keep the truck there until we could have it shipped. If I lived in Tucson, I would take my car here and nowhere else.

Mike and Tony were really good to us. We had an emergency and they fit us in on a Friday for an estimate.
We needed major repairs and they were kind enough to accommodate us. When the best option became shipping the truck back home to Texas, they babysat it until the shipper could pick it up.
They went above and beyond for us and we’re kinder than they needed to be. Great communication, great guys.

Not only did they take excellent care of my car, they even got a warranty part from the previous garage that had messed it up and replaced the part for free.

I took my car two times here, and both times I got a great service.
I was amazed that when they told me they would need to keep my car for the day, they asked me if I wanted them to take me to my home from the office.
They are very assertive, and their sales representatives are just top notch.
My repairs were a bit expensive, but the car drove like silk afterwards.
I’m definitely taking my car here for the next service.
Edit: An amazing place, again and again, if you are serviced by Tony, you are in great hands, you guys need to make him upper max boss level 30 or something like that, is just an amazing asset you have there with that guy.

I had a 99 Toyota RAV4 serviced back in September. Good auto shops are hard to find, so it is important to review them especially when you disagree with the current rating. Most of the auto repair places on Unilocal appear to be five stars, which seems highly unusual at best.
I had a headlight with a bad socket and apparently a bad bulb, which were replaced. Unfortunately, the new bulb burned out about one month later. Maybe it was a cheap bulb (Wagner) or they just got unlucky but it didn’t give a very good impression.
My other concern is on the service they wanted to perform, fuel injection every 30k miles and a major tuneup because wires were dated 1999. I did have them do all the fluids, which they want to do every 30k miles, because it had been 60k miles on my car. The people I talked with were very polite, but I got the distinct feeling that they weren’t being straight with me. I think they are basically competent but I think their honesty leaves a lot to be desired. If you have any doubts about their recommended service or repairs, get a second opinion. In my experience, there are much more practical and honest auto repair shops in Tucson, especially if you have an older car.
That said, I have had a much worse experience at Precision Toyota, which is truly incompetent and dishonest (one star).

Excellent local shop, does quality work!
They were able to identify ALL of the various issues my truck had, when other shops missed them or lied about issues that didn’t exist.
They identified and fixed my bad power steering pump, and then also noticed the oil valve leak, noisy transmission pump (Aastro, a dedicated transmission shop, couldn’t even identify what the noise was coming from!), bad bushings on my steering rack, noisy drive belt, etc.
Really great shop. They do such an excellent job, and catch so many things that other shops miss. And they don’t lie telling you that you need something done!

I think you can judge a man by the way he treats his truck. And in that case, either I got lucky, or I’m exceptionally brilliant — I like to think it’s a little of both.
My man and his truck have been going steady since 1986. I’m just along for the ride. There’s been no cheating, no mistreating, no wondering if the grass is greener on the other side. He’s all about old fashioned commitment, in good times, in bad times, till the end of time.
He trusts the pros at Micro Import Service with his truck. She’s a Mitsubishi Mighty Max, and though small in stature, she lives up to her name. She’s got her quirks, jerks and age related issues, but the boys at Micro keep her in good spirits, and make sure she’s on her best behavior most of the time. They’ll go to the end of the earth to find the right parts for her, which is no easy task. I really have to give it to them.
We’re here a lot, and of course, they know me, and the missus (truck) very well. We wouldn’t go anywhere else. They treat us right, and work on any given job until they get it right. If you try Micro, you’ll be faithful too.

From now on my vehicle is going to Micro. I drive about 100 miles to their location and it is worth every penny. I am very happy with the performance of my vehicle after they have done extensive repairs on it. They are professional and courteous. I took my Toyota Tacoma truck to their location after I have had a number of shops try to figure out what was going on with my engine, without going into too much details, they diagnosed, identified and fixed the problem. Mike was the service man that helped me. I was impressed with his attitude and patience. I will not take my vehicles anywhere else. Oh, and did I mention, they are quite reasonable.

I simply cannot say enough good things about Micro! Not only do these guys know exactly what they are doing, but they do it with a smile. Probably one of the best things I could say about Micro is their focus on customer satisfaction!
My car was my first brand new car when I purchased it. Since then, I’ve been very worried about who was qualified to take care of my car. After a series of problems at Precision Toyota, I opened up Unilocal to find the highest reviewed Japanese car servicer in Tucson. I am so glad I did! Ever since making the switch I’ve been given completely honest inspections and great service. I took my car in the first time complaining about squeaking in the struts and brakes. The certified technicians at Micro checked out my car and reassured me the minor squeaking was not signs of a bigger problem. I came prepared to spend a fortune, and they told me they suggested holding off on the work. After taking my car in for an oil change last week and having another inspection done, they still told me my car was in great shape.
These guys are fast, efficient, thorough and courteous. I like the ability to schedule my appointments online through their website, and they are willing to work with you to reschedule if something comes up. The level of service they provide in the bay is exceptional. Every time I’ve taken my car into them, they have addressed every issue I mentioned and updated me on the condition of many other aspects of my car. The service you get at the front desk is just as good and goes beyond any level of customer service I ever received from Precision Toyota. The staff is friendly, they follow up when they say they will, make sure you understand what is happening and just give excellent service.
It is no wonder Micro has been around since the 70’s! They have amazing knowledge, exceptional skills, provide excellent service and know how to treat their customers. I can tell you right now they are the only place I will take my car from now on.

The AC on my 2007 Honda Civic was just not kicking out cold like it should. Micro got me in right away, and they ran on schedule, fixed it while I waited. Comfy waiting area. Very polite staff. Travis, who works at the desk, didn’t treat me like an idiot, even though I know very little about cars. Explained everything very thoroughly, told me what they did, did a full inspection and pointed out some things to watch in future but didn’t try to sell me any extra service I didn’t need. I was comfortable with this place, like them, and feel I got great service for a good price.

Again, I have great respect for the way Mic (and Trish — I understand they recently married — Congrats) maintains his high standards at Micro. When I’m in Tucson, they are my go-​to folks. I still love the way they treat me like family. Keep it up, guys… BTW…I love the update to the little office!

I always put off car maintenance to the last minute because most corner store lube shops put you through the wringer in trying to convince you of all the fluids you NEED to have flushed, and the dealership always charges double (and the last time I used the dealership for a repair, I had to go back 2 additional times for the same problem in 6 months).
When I finally had a laundry list of things wrong with my Accord, I figured I’d give Micro a shot since I used to live right next to them, and their reviews were good. I told them what I wanted fixed, they told me great, here’s the price. It was about what the going rate was. Spent the day at work and the car was done by the time I came back. Told me everything was great. The real kicker? Instead of a hard sell on more auto work, they told me my tires were slightly worn from the alignment issue I had them fix, and their solution was for me to get them replaced at a cheapy shop, then bring it back to Micro for them to do the finishing touch additional labor for free.
Car service as it should be. Straight forward, no surprises, and effective work. A month after my visit, they sent me a hand written note thanking me for trying out their shop. They’re a little farther than I usually car to go for car maintenance, but I think I’ll make the trip in the future.

Outstanding service, fair prices, and really great business all around.
I brought my car in here due to the great Unilocal reviews, the techs thoroughly researched my car, the needs for a 60K service, and even made sure their recommendations for service matched my manufacturers. All in all it was a great experience, they arranged a rental car, took me to the rental place, and ran me back after I dropped off my car. The maintenance was done right and they even reset the service indicator unlike many of the previous places I have taken my car to. Even better the prices were affordable and I knew every dollar I spent was for items that my car needed not to just simply line the shops pocket.
Great job guys! I will be back!

Thank you, Unilocalers, for leading me to Micro Import Service! Our «Maintenance Required» light came on during a drive from California to Arizona, and we needed to check it out before we attempted to drive back home.
Micro was open the day after Christmas (yay!) and Travis was accommodating on the phone. We brought my ’99 Acura in and waited while they took a look. The waiting area had tea, cookies, and WiFi.
It was a simple fix and there was no charge. We didn’t have to wait long, and we left feeling relieved and grateful. 5 glowing stars for Micro Import. Thank you!

I brought my ’98 Subaru Forester to Micro Import while living in Tucson for a few years, and was very pleased at the honesty and service. I was having various problems with this car at the time, unfortunately with the transmission, and when I came to pick it up after having it looked at, one of the head guys working there (I regret I forget his name) basically sat me down and said:
«Look, I don’t do this very often, and I don’t like to do this, but I would highly recommend not fixing this car.»
Needless to say, I was a bit shocked and worried, but he did a great job of calming me down and explaining the many problems my car had by showing me a list of what I would need to fix and how much it would cost. He also said that if I had the money, they could make it like new, but given the age and the 150,000+ miles on it, he highly recommended I invest that in a newer car. He even gave me some tips on the best way to get the value for my car based on his own experience. I really felt like I was in good hands, and had I had $ 7K to spend, I would have let these guys fix it, hands down. But I don’t know many mechanics who would actually turn away your business by telling you not to fix your car. That’s how I knew these guys were good.
They completely replaced my transmission fluid for around $ 200 – 300 and wished me luck, offering help anytime I needed it. I very much appreciated their honesty and customer rapport, and would recommend them without question. Not sure you’re gonna find much better in Tucson.
Side note: They called me a few months later to remind me to get an oil change, and sent me coupons in the mail for their services. By that point, I had already traded in my Forester for a newer car, but I still thought it was nice :)

Very pleased with my service at Micro today. My Mazda had an oil change and it was done in a timely manner. The customer service I received was top notch.
I used to be one of those people that would clip coupons for a $ 16 oil change but that ended one day when my car had steam coming from the engine on my drive home from an oil change. Oil had leaked all over my engine that day and I had to drive it right back to the place to have the problem corrected.
Micro has a great reputation, which is what brought me there. I will now be making recommendations to friends regarding taking their cars there too. The oil change costs $ 29.95 and well worth every penny.

I’ve taken all three of our vehicles here– two old toyotos (83 and 85) and a Subaru Impreza 2004 and they’ve always delivered. They are fantastic at communicating the issues, very helpful in providing service recommendations, and fair on pricing.
I have to add an anecdote that will help make it clearer how good they are overall.
I took my old work truck into them to adjust the carb so it would pass emissions. I told them my timeline and budget. They did their work. It failed. They tried again, and again it failed.
They recommended some new plugs, distributor cap, and a few other things to make it pass. It failed.
At this point they are behind on schedule, over budget, and haven’t done anything for me. So, they said, leave it for 24 more hours and we’ll make it happen– all free of charge. So, the next day they start working early and take it in for the third time. Againl, it failed.
At this point they are baffled and I’m pretty upset. They say we’re going to give it one more shot at the other testing facility because they numbers we’re getting at 22^nd don’t match ours. So Nathan drives it up himself on his lunch hour to Prince road. It PASSES. They spent well over 8 hours of time trying to make things right for me at no charge and in the end it was the MVD that was to blame. Great people to work with. They have a customer for life.
