The Treehouse is a fabulous boutique style store in Truckee that has adorable clothes for girls and boys. Having 3 boys before I had my daughter, its not always easy to find cute/stylish clothes for boys and this store carries them! They carry many name brands(Quicksilver, le top, Zutano & more) that are high quality clothing that have lasted for years through all 3 boys! Now that I have a daughter it is fun to dress her up in the adorable outfits that The Treehouse carries! The store also carries fabulous gifts, toys, shoes and accessories that are unique. The staff is kind and helpful. We love to shop at The Treehouse when we are visiting the area!

Absolutely adorable kid clothes. Can always count on it when I need that ‘something special’ for my kids. Has a great sales section. A great place to also shop for kid birthday presents.

The Tree House is one of my very favorite kids shops. I think they have a wonderful selection of both boys and girls clothing and nice toys too. They always have a very large sale section upstairs with nice brands at 50% off. They also carry a good selection of bigger kid sizes which is great. Their toy selection and book selection is nice and they gift wrap anything you want. I can’t say enough about this store. I’m a big shopper and typically shop in San Francisco but I find Tree House to have nice designer brands plus lots of basics that I have a hard time finding at home in the City. FYI– lots of seasonal items(cold and snow clothing and great swim collection). Lastly, they have toddler shoes. Utterly adorable baby and infant items which I’m sadly never int he market for. ;)

One would think that a store selling baby and young children’s clothing would be stroller friendly, but this place isn’t. I had to restack boxes of shoes(1 – 3 boxes high) lining the main aisle, right in front of the register(where people stand for lengths of time blocking the way), both on my way in and back out. Ridiculous. It made me so furious. No one working in the store offered to help or thought about relocating these random boxes of shoes on the floor. I’m not even sure what was on one side of the store because I couldn’t get my stroller over there. Judging from what I saw, I wasn’t missing out on much. There’s a few good brands and lots of different items, but not much inventory in sizes. Nothing we couldn’t live without.

I make a point to go to this store whenever I am in the Tahoe/Truckee area. I have two little girls, and have never ever walked into this store without buying something! The clothes are darling, and there is usually a well-stocked sale/clearance rack. My daughters love the toy selection. Lots of Melissa & Doug, Corolle dolls, high quality toys. They have great cold-weather items especially– snow gear, sweater tights, hats, mittens, etc.

It’s usually a mixed bag of clothes, but when we went by in August, much of the selection seemed brighter(newer) than previously. Always worth a peek. Great sales stuff. Lots of formal/fancy dresses around the holidays.

This store carries some high end kid’s clothing, some local stuff(mostly of the bejeweled variety from what I saw), and some not so nice stuff. This stuff is not current and it’s not how parents want to dress their kids today. The store itself is kind of drab and the merchandise looks like it’s been out for a long time. The toy selection is pretty tired. This store is handy if you are traveling and forgot some essential piece of clothing that you absolutely must have, now, but otherwise it’s not even worth a little look around when you are in the neighborhood.
