Jennifer Stark is my one and only go-​to message therapist. She has been coming to my house in Truckee twice now, equipped with everything, from table to linens to blanket and lotion/​oils. She has been helping me tremendously with my recent back surgery, giving me valuable information and updates on the condition of my muscles along the way. She is extremely efficient yet gentle at the same time. And so very kind, professional, discreet and so knowledgeable. I couldn’t say enough about Jen! :-)

Kristin is a great colorist and stylist. I came here for the first time the day after Christmas. She stayed later than planned to fit me in. This is dedication. I came back two weeks later for a weave and BAM she did a great job. She is sweet, personable as well as a seasoned stylist. she always integrates some sort of massage in my service. I highly recommend Kristin!

Fabulous massage. Love the hot stones. I have been seeing Jennifer a few months to work out some problems in my hip. Those issues are long gone and now I go just for the pure pleasure.

Super cute salon in downtown Truckee that carries Aveda product. Kristin gives a great haircut — my hair is super simple but really thick and she treats it just right to keep the healthy length but drop the weight. I haven’t been to see her since I had a baby five months ago, and I am missing it! Can’t wait to get back in the chair and have her make me feel beautiful again.

Wow! Kristin Herr is a rock star! We had our wedding at Skylandia on Lake Tahoe. Kristin gave me the best haircut/​style of my life. My wife’s hair and make up was perfect. Kristen truly brought out my wife’s natural beauty. Thanks for making us look so good! The pictures are priceless.

Kristin is incredible with color. I showed her a picture of the highlights I was looking for and she replicated it but made it only better. She did a mix of low light and highlights and the color is just gorgeous. I am so pleased!

I went to Keri at Salon Fandango, needing a change from the same hairdresser I’d been using for the past 10 years– and this was a big mistake! I requested a simple trim & said I was growing out the length & layers. She was very conservative with the cut (which I appreciated) but when I got home I noticed the left side was over an inch longer than the right. I called & left a message saying I needed to have this evened out & her colleague, Kristin, called back & said she could do it given that Keri was out of town for a few more days. Great! I went in & was forgiving of the mishap, assuming Kristin would fix everything… wrong! She did a dry cut (took my un-​clean, wavy hair out of the clip, ran a quick comb through it & began hacking away) & when I got home that evening the right side was over an inch longer than the left. Seriously? Is it not Hair Styling 101 to cut your client’s hair evenly on both sides?
In hindsight, I felt uncomfortable that Kristin was doing a dry cut & I should have spoken up because clearly this only caused more issues. I assumed she knew what she was doing, but perhaps she did this because she was put off by having to fix her colleague’s error. Bottom line is, though, if she wasn’t going to do a good job she shouldn’t have agreed to do my hair at all (I was dumbfounded that she didn’t even take out a spray bottle & dampen my hair… but, lessons learned).
I will never go to Salon Fandango again. I used another salon to fix Kristin (& Keri’s) errors, as I did not feel I could trust them to touch my hair once more.
So, 3 haircuts in 1 week & over $ 100 later, I am left with shorter hair & frustrated, but it will grow back & I will move on.
I wish Keri & Kristin the best as they’re both nice gals, but if you choose to get a cut with either beware… And, double, triple check your hair before leaving so as not get an unpleasant surprise when you get home & have to deal with all the headache & heartache of the aftermath.

Love this Salon! Super cute and cozy nestled above downtown Truckee. You have a great little people watching view from a big picture window over looking old town, while you get your hair cut. Its really easy to pop downstairs after for a little window shopping, lunch or dinner. Keri has been cutting and coloring my hair for 7 – 8 years and always does a great job, is flexible with appointment times, has fair pricing, and is ALWAYS cheery. And, she carries my favorite Aveda products… one of the only ones in town. Love it!

Kristen is awesome. She did an amazing job on my hair. Pretty much what I was envisioning. She is sweet and friendly. The salon is quaint and cozy with an adorable view of downtown from above. She also uses aveda products which are amazing and infused with essential oils. Wonderful place!

Kristin is the best! I brought her some pictures of possible hairstyles. She took the time to ask what I liked about each one, how I usually wear my hair and how much time I want to spend in styling. She was conservative about the cut and explained that she would take off more if I wanted but she wanted to give me the option after it was styled. I love my new style. It was a big change from long to a short. No surprises, no regrets! One of the best cuts that I have had in years. Thanks Kristin.

After moving to Truckee 2 years ago, I Unilocaled hair salons & found Keri at Salon Fandango. Not only does Keri provide get hair cuts for me, my son & husband, but her color/​highlighting is just exactly what I want every time. Now she’s not only my stylist, but also my friend. I can’t recommend them highly enough!

Keri at Salon Frandango does an excellent job with color, highlights, and cut for my hair. I moved up from San Francisco and am so happy to not only find comporable quality of service, but even better than I expected. I have been going to Keri for over a year now, and she cuts my husband, and my mom’s hair now also. I have always left with the best hair care I have ever had. I get complements on my hair all of the time. I highly recommend her.

Kristin has been my hair saver for a year now. I am the type of person who waits until the last possible moment to get my hair done. A complete mess and Kristin has always come to the rescue! Kristin is a great stylist, gives great recommendations on the products, she is very knowledgeable. Fandango is a wonderful find in the old town of Truckee.

If you suspect that you have done something unpardonable to your crown, don’t worry, she can fix it. She’ll turn it into a living, breathing masterpiece. While you work out your confession in her chair, she will pardon you of all your hair transgressions and make you laugh at the whole matter. You will soon forget that which brought you to her in the first place. You don’t have to look any further. You’re new hairdresser is Keri and she is waiting for you at Salon Fandango.

I am new in town, needed a haircut bad, and it just so happened i was down the street. it was 15min to closing and Keri happily welcomed me in for a last minute cut. As others have stated; great personal touch, good conversation, and a great haircut. It was my first time in and i felt like a regular. Highly recommended, ill be heading back for my next one.

Keri is phenomenal! She is attentive and always does what you want (no surprises or pressure). I will honestly admit that I am afraid of hair change. My hair has, more or less, been the same, for better or worse, for 20 years. Keri is the first person I have felt comfortable branching out of my comfort zone with. She is incredibly knowledgeable, has a great eye, and instills a level of comfort.
I used to fly across the country to get my hair cut back home. No more — Keri is wonderful! I’ve been a loyal customer for 4 years now, and happy every minute!
