We read the reviews and decided to try it out. Best burgers we had and great fries. We also had the Poutine and was great comfort food. The service was great. We also had great old fashion’s.

I’d say I’m in burger heaven at this place. Love the burgers and a great selection of favorite brews or cider is a nice touch. I’d give it a 5 star rating except for the music. Too loud for conversation and a little too fast. Feels like disco.

A group of us chose Bubba’s as the place for our one night of eating out while we were in Traverse City for the Bayshore Marathon. We had heard about the fish tacos so at least two of us had to try them and they were delicious! There are 3 different«flavors» for their fish tacos and I know those of us that ordered them had one of each. The rest of our group had burgers and those were huge burgers! They said the burgers were also really good. A great selection of brews(lots of local ones) and the service was great too. We’ll definitely be back!

Average food that has gotten worse every year for the last 6 or 7 years. Loud scene. The burgers and food are par. It’s bar food, what can I say. I have been served Luke warm burgers before. They aren’t anything special to say the least, especially for the price. I have given it a few tried over the last few years, but I try to avoid it at all costs.

Ordered the Haystack burger which was great. Patty has a great charbroiled crispiness to it but still juicy. Great local flavor as well.

Amazing Service! We went for breakfast on our way out of TC. Food was extremely flavorful… I had a veggie burrito, some else ordered the chicken and waffles. I can’t wait to try their dinner. I wish I would have found this place earlier. Bubba’s will now become a mandate everytime I visit TC.

Bubbas had a great, varied menu. We had the Hawaiian burger, which my husband and I shared. WE both thought it was one of the best burgers we’d had — wonderful sweet and zingy flavor! We also shared the chicken and waffles. These were also really good, but could have used a bit more flavor. There was supposed to be some kick to them but I didn’t really get it. They looked amazing though. We even got dessert because the options sounded so good, even though we weren’t hungry any longer. We got a yummy homemade chocolate pudding cake — nice and moist. The drink menu also looked amazing but we didn’t try any drinks. The atmosphere was also warm and intriguing. We’d definitely go back!

The food here is excellent! I’m a vegetarian and have had many veggie burgers from various restaurants. This is by far the best homemade veggie burger I’ve had hands down!!! The buffalo tots as an app were excellent as well. I will definitely come back

I had the spiked cider and it was great. I had the turkey wrap and Mac n cheese bites to eat and they were a little rich but amazing. I took half of both home. The atmosphere was my favorite part. It felt like a bar but homey.

Excellent! My wife and I were passing through on our first visit to Michigan and read the Unilocal!reviews on this place. Decided to give it a try. OMG — I had the Hay Stack burger and she had the Black & Blue burger. We shared tater tots and onion rings. The meat on the burgers was amazing — we were told it’s local beef that they make into fresh patties. The buns were great. Both burgers were flavorful, juicy and incredible. I had 2 beers and my wife had 2 hard ciders. Being Happy Hour, we got 25% off. Our total bill was less than $ 35. The food was great, the employees were happy and friendly and the price was right. I’ll definitely be back!

We really enjoyed this place. It was busy, but we only had to wait about 10 minutes. We ordered the Haystack burger and split it(which I seriously recommend because you will not be able to finish an entire burger!). It was AMAZING. It came with a delicious sauce, mushrooms and onion crisps. We ordered the sweet potato tots which were okay and it’s a little odd the fries, tots, etc. are a la carte. Next time I would get just a burger. The food was reasonably priced. I did get a cider and it was $ 9! There weren’t any prices listed because had I known that, I would have skipped it. Overall the burger definitely lived up to the hype! Delicious!

I was jammin’ at Bubba’s! I like a place where I’m not just dancing in my seat from eating tasty food, but also has good tunes. This place has a great location, and even on the day of the Cherry Festival it wasn’t nearly as busy as I thought it’d be! The place is pretty spacious has a nice looking bar. Pretty friendly staff from what I could tell. They kind of put us in the back corner next to the bar, whenever staff would grab ice from the freezer it would slam shut really loud right next to us! My burger was a little overdone, enough to the point where I had the taste of charcoal when I was finished. I’d still definitely come back to Bubba’s!

We were seated right away at lunch with no wait. Our food took a little while longer than expected but was very good. Buffalo wings were tasty and the Bubba’s Philly was excellent. I had sweet potato tots with mine and my husband had the onion rings — both were great. We will be back again next time we visit Traverse City!

We arrived and it looked busy but the host gave us an option of sitting at the bar. We chose the bar and the waitress was a little cold. The beer list was great and featured a lot of local brews. The burgers(I had the Banh Mi and my husband had the Olive) were out of this world. The noise level was fine and the food was great. Definitely a must stop in Traverse City!

Four stars for their burgers!!! Everything else was just ok, but their burgers were really fantastic! People in our party ordered a variety of things but the only items that really stood out were the burgers. Two days later people were still talking about how good they were! FYI The restaurant is comprised of only big six person tables so expect to wait a bit for a seat. This also isn’t a speedy restaurant so don’t expect to be in and out very quickly. Order one of their great drinks and enjoy the complimentary pretzels. All of the staff was very nice and helpful!

The food and service here are great! My husband and I ordered off the brunch menu and the regular menu and split it. We had chicken and waffles and a burger. The burger was solid but the chicken and waffles were out of this world! Our waitress also supplied is with syrup and holy taste explosion! The waffle is cheddar jalapeño and it also has bacon on it. Yum!!! The burger was juicy and I had ordered on with strip steak on it and they were cooked to perfection, very tender meat. They also have tater tots which were crispy and good! Our waitress was very attentive and nice even though they were busy and short staffed. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is because the Bloody Mary I had wasn’t super tasty, the mix is a bit thick, but it wasn’t the worst. I still drank it:). I would definitely eat here again!

I came for the first time last night with my 6 friends. At first I was a little disappointed that they wouldn’t take reservations but then when I arrived, I realized that they didn’t have a ton of room to work with. We got a variety of things — the mixed drinks were okay(I’m not even sure there was alcohol in them but they were yummy anyway), the Buffalo tots were to die for, and the burgers were amazing. We got steaks too and those were excellent. The burgers were some of the best we’d ever had. The menu was also HUGE so we had a ton to pick from. The service was a little slow but it was also prime time on a Saturday night and they were packed so I understand it. But the waitress was friendly. I do have to agree that there is next to no alcohol in the mixed drinks. I am super sensitive to the taste of alcohol but I almost wondered if it was a virgin mixed drink. Menu selection — 5⁄5 Quality of food — 4.5÷5 Staff knowledge & friendless — 4⁄5 Value and cost — 5⁄5 Atmosphere — 5⁄5

My wife had a craving for chicken wings for a few days. We would have likely have wound up at the Buffalo Wild Wings, but honestly neither of us enjoy their style of wings, we miss Plucker’s back in Austin, TX. I searched around on Unilocal and we decided upon Bubba’s. We enjoyed everything. I had their $ 6 Burger and Beer special, she ordered 10 wings, which I doubled to 20 and we started with the Mexican Cottage Cheese Dip, and ended with a slice of Coconut Cream Pie. The wings are fried without breading and their buffalo sauce was spicy but not so much not to enjoy the wings. They make their own dressings(we had the ranch). I look forward to trying their other flavors, Thai and BBQ. Lastly, they gave us a generous portion of celery, back home we likely would have had about half that amount. The burger was great. I had read the special wrong, I thought it was ‘Half a burger’ and a beer, which for $ 6 still seemed like a good deal. But it actually was ½ lb Burger & a Beer for $ 6. The burger was juicy and the tomato and lettuce were great. My only negative feedback was that the bun could have been toasted. The Mexican Cottage Cheese Dip was interesting, I have never had something like that before. For a summer-time type dip it is fantastic, living in Texas for 15 years you end up having quite a bit of queso(melted cheese dips), this was refreshingly different. Maybe some smoked chipotle peppers would add a little more depth to it, but honestly, it was pretty good. And the chips were fantastic, we had leftover chips. We got there at about 5pm, which was during Happy Hour or as our receipt said«Bubba Time», which meant Happy Hour pricing(pretty sure I read it right as 33% off). I look forward to going back.
