The Container Store

Oh my god, I love this place. I’m like a kid in a candy store. Some of the stuff can get spendy, but I love all the cool stuff they have in there that make little chores around the house easier. It’s in Bridgeport Village, so that kind of sucks, driving wise. However, they have one giant lot in front of the store instead of the four parking spots outside of the other Bridgeport stores, and there is also a parking garage near by.
I love the staff I’ve interacted with too. Very helpful and happy.

Most items are priced very reasonably but watch it — some things can get pricey. I love wandering through even for inspiration — sometimes I discover organization options for things I would have never even thought of.
Christmas time is pretty fun here as well — they have a pretty fabulous gift wrap selection that is pretty unique for those items you want to wrap super special. They also have a great stocking stuffer section they set up each year — some items are pretty pricey but most are things you will not find elsewhere.

First let me say, I love the Container Store. They have a great supply of organizational components. The customer service is also stellar. This review is more for their Elfa installation service. We have used it twice now. The first time the installer insisted on seeing my receipt (as we were missing some items) and practically accused me of stealing. They also used our bed and nice comforter as the place for their tools. The second time was better, but I have learned that if you want the current shelves taken out properly (before they put in the Elfa) do it yourself. They dented my wall and the paint job was poor. When they say «touch up» in their description of removing shelves, they mean it. The first time we took out our own shelves and sanded and painted the walls so it would look nice. This time we thought we’d let the install people do it, since they state right in the installation they will take out two shelves. Never again. I’d post pictures, but Unilocal would take the down. Now I have to go patch and paint.

Lots of fun household stuff here. Things you never thought of but wish you had. The prices are really all over the map, some things are lower than expected, some are way higher. The store is always clean, well stocked, and well staffed. I have never had trouble finding a clerk to help me find something, but I’ve also never been approached by a clerk checking to see if I needed help. Checkout was fast and friendly. You will spend more time here than you planned, so make sure to leave time for plenty of browsing.

Great store, awesome products! The part that sucks about this place is at checkout. The clerks mention a certain percentage off, rather then giving the discount you’ve got to give them your membership number to get it. My wife’s got the membership, how the hell would I know what it is? Rather then busting a dudes balls give the damn discount or keep the discount out if the conversation! I own a multi location Electrical distribution business & I give discounts free will when asked.

I’m obsessed with this store but then again I love organization and this place has containers to organize just about anything. They also have nifty home and kitchen gadgets.

It’s a must-​visit whenever I’m here at Bridgeport Village, my 2^nd time lol. Like the location because it’s at the end of a «T», and each side has parking so a bit less traffic.
Your usual suspects of well-​thought, high quality containers and knick knacks; this time I bought these holding hooks to place behind driver/​passenger head rest so you can now hang your bags of groceries, p/​murse, hat, etc. 2 hooks for $ 7, good bang!
It’s quite a large store, and later, went to the Bellevue one, which I think is even more gigantic.
Well-​lit, great customer service.

If you’re into organization, this place is your dream. I had fun looking around but honestly some of their things weren’t all that cute and pretty and many things I could find at a typical store like Target or Fred Meyer even. The most annoying thing was that it took forever to find an employee for assistance. I was looking for a specific item and couldn’t find it after wondering about the store. I passed several employees, though they were mostly chatting with each other and never offered help. I just feel awkward interrupting conversation so I kept wandering about. I finally stood in the check out line to ask about the item only to be told to «look over there.» For a special niche store like this, I would have expected much better service.

okay first off lets address the elephant in the room… yes some things are grossly overpriced… so just watch yourself and pay attention… with that being said… there are somethings that are reasonably priced… I like to go in and see what they have, then go home and figure out what I need then go back and actually shop.
so my sister, best friend and I stopped in here one night in the middle of the week after a family dinner… we were possibly the 3 out of the 5 people in the store not including the employees. We were wandering around and I got separated from my small group… being in weird mood I just started an impromptu game of Marco Polo… which the employees found amusing… they were still trying to decide if we were nuts or just slightly nuts…
I find that when I walk thru the store I do get lots of ideas of what I want to do in my house. It is good for that… and practically have everything you could possibly need. Just watch the prices of what you are buying some things priced well… other things… priced grossly over what you would think… or hope…

You have just recently moved… or maybe you moved about 10 years ago. And yet… you still have a ton of crap in boxes. Or maybe there is crap just stuffed into a closet or that «3^rd bedroom» you haven’t gotten around to using properly. Or maybe the garage still has those makeshift shelves full of crap. Whatever the reason, you have crap lying around, but it’s not stuff you can get rid of.
I know, you are not a hoarder. You actually use the stuff, but you haven’t had the time. Well, get your ass over to the Container Store. They have whatever you need to organize your crap and put it in a more presentable nature… and it doesn’t smell like old cardboard.
Boxes represent a lack of permanence, a way to set aside stuff you may need in a very sloth-​like manner. Quit it. Just go to the Container Store. Trust me, they have it… recycling bins, high performance garbage cans, plastic doo-​dads with lids to keep your xmas stuff stored in the garage/​attic. Who knows? After you start putting things in containers, you may just realize that the 10Mb hub isn’t really worth keeping anymore. Yay cleanliness and organization! And no more musty cardboard smell in the office!
Now you just need to find a bed to actually utilize that third bedroom.

A solid choice for whatever you may need to organize your life. Over the years I have shopped here at least a dozen times and am usually able to find what I am looking for. My only complaint: most of their offerings are imported, not USA made.

The Container Store is heaven for people who love to organize things. I swear, they literally have containers for ANY household purpose, and can advise you on different storage solutions so you can maximize your space. Take some measurements at home, bring them in, and they’ll work with you to find what you need. The employees always seem happy too, one of them told me yesterday that they’re ranked one of the top companies to work for, and I’m not surprised.

I am fully aware that with this review I am going to lose the last tiny little shred of cool that I had left.
As much as I can, I like to keep my home as «everything has a place and everything in its place.» To me a disorganized home, is just chaos. That said, I’ve been spending the last three weeks unpacking the same boxes that I had just taken a couple of months to pack before. At this point, I was pretty ready to become a minimalist and just donate whatever unpacked boxes were still left. The Container Store to the rescue.
When we walked in, the sun started shining, birds were singing and all was right in the world. Aisles and aisles of organizing products and gadgets just waiting to be brought home by me. I texted my friend saying I just wanted to curl up into a ball and gently weep.
New bins to organize my new larger-​than-​before laundry room? Check.
All kinds of jars and containers to organize my also larger-​than-​before pantry? Check.
Things I didn’t realize I needed (bacon saver, containers for individual sticks of butter, a freezable wine carrier)? Yes, please!
I’m now reading about the amazing customer service that is available at this place. Honestly, we weren’t even approached or asked if we needed help the entire time we were there. That’s not at all a bad thing as I was able to browse at leisure.
Although I found lots of different products that I really, really wanted, we were here specifically for bathroom stuff and I was somehow able to muster the willpower to not just buy all the things. The super spree will have to wait for later. .. .

It’s almost a guarantee that the container store has what you need… but they are pricey for plastic.

Faced with piles of papers and the necessity to organize for taxes, I wandered into the Container Store and, as I strolled up and down the aisles, saw dozens of tools to organize everything from paperwork and photos to closets to refrigerators. There are gadgets and gizmos to stack, store, file and categorize the items on my desk and workbench. The genius of some of these sensible items is their simplicity, and I frequently found myself thinking, «Why didn’t I think of that?»
The well-​located Container Store is brightly lit and the staff is cheerful and helpful, the customer service was excellent. This is normally an annual or semiannual visit for me, since I need a reason to reorganize and the accumulation of tax-​time paperwork usually prompts me, or a closet full of winter clothes will need to be sorted for what’s worn or no longer fits.
Whenever I stop in, I don’t walk out empty-​handed. There’s always some small (or larger) item that performs a common task with whimsy or humor, an item that makes sense to me. I recommend a visit to this Container Store!

It is always so much fun to go to the container store. They have so many organizational ideas that you didn’t even know you needed, that you always walk away with something. It is very clean and the salespeople are very helpful, even during the busy holiday season.
It is not that close to my house, but I will make the effort to go there when I am in the neigborhood.

We all know The Container Store is fabulous but still a chain. Specific to this location, the customer service here is top notch! There is always someone available to help me (even during the dreaded but ever-​so-​amazing Elfa Sale days!) and with a genuine smile. I never feel pestered and they always seem to find what I need… and if they can’t, they are quick to brainstorm new solutions.
My husband and I have fallen in love with Elfa. Worth every penny, especially if you shop during the aforementioned sale (in January!). We’ve outfitted many a closet and garage with these stuff and are so grateful for its invention.

To say I like to organize is a huge understatement. I am absolutely an ‘everything in its place’ kind of girl. So you would think The Container Store would be my favorite place in the world, but that would be an overstatement.
While I like to have everything squared away with slightly less than military precision, I also have the thrifty gene. And I’m always struck by the pricing here. While the vast array of supplies are wonderful and at times overwhelming, things aren’t cheap here. I guess I wonder why it has to be so expensive to be organized? It kind of makes we wish I also had the crafty gene to make these items myself.
So my trips to the Container Store offer all sorts of inspiration and ideas, but at least half of my organizing purchases are made elsewhere (Target, Fred Meyer, etc.). Without a specific plan of action (a list) I also find myself wandering the aisles in a sort of daze because there is just too much cool stuff.
Like anything that touches on our personal blend of insanity, my exposure should probably be limited.

I’m pretty much always going to fall in love with a store completely given over to helping you organize stuff and put it away where it can stay clean and be out of sight. This store has absolutely everything imaginable to help you organize, label, access, and categorize pretty much anything in your house. This makes me so happy.
I can’t actually say I bought anything, and to be perfectly honest I didn’t even look that closely at the prices. But they seem to have everything, and the place is positively gargantuan, just going on and on for seemingly an entire block. Great store.
