Great merchandise, but awful service. Ordered dining room chairs, with 7 – 10 business day delivery. But just learned that they cannot deliver until 14 days. An hour on the phone later they agreed to ship fed ex and get them here in time, graciously waiving the additional cost for them to deliver when they originally promised.

I’ve been a long-​time customer of crate & barrel, but am frustrated by their business practices. 8 years ago, I custom ordered a daybed, which, within the first year developed a tear on a seam on one of the back pillows. They were very responsive about having it repaired by their manufacturer, but I had to bring the cover to crate and barrel. They said it would take 3 MONTHS for the manufacturer to send the repaired cover back. When I said that I couldn’t leave the exposed batting (without any sort of cover) on the sofa for that long, they just shrugged their shoulders and said they couldn’t do anything about it. They called me several times to ask me to bring it in, but I just sewed that area as best I could. I’ve had a sofa, bought from a local store made by an out-​of-​state company, repaired right away. The store just sent a local person to fix it which they did in an hour. Why couldn’t crate and barrel do that? Also, considering that I paid much more than average for the daybed, the cushion should not have become soft and sunk in within 2 years!
Today, I tried to buy a cnb coat tree that had a $ 60 shipping fee. So I thought I would just buy it online & go to my local cnb store and pick it up (25 mins away). But apparently I can’t pick it up till December 26 as they’re using it to display other merchandise. Customer service said I could go to the warehouse in Seattle (3 hrs away) and pick it up or pay for shipping and wait for 7 – 10 business days or pay now and wait till the store finished using it… no discount for their having used it or for making me wait to get it after I purchased it!

Dear Crate and Barrel,
I was so excited to order an expensive bed from you, I finally felt like an adult with real bedroom furniture that wasn’t from Ikea. I anxiously awaited the 6 to 8 weeks for delivery that your peppy customer service agent informed me of while taking my debit card info. 8 weeks passed and I decided to call you to check on my bed. This is where our relationship went south cb. You lied to me. You gave me some bullshit story about 12 weeks. I got upset, told you that I would have ordered a bed elsewhere if I was given this information from the beginning. I want a refund. Yeah sorry, no refund you said. It’s part of the agreement you made. Wait, you mean the agreement that said my bed would be delivered in 6 to 8 weeks? So I talked to a supervisor, and another supervisor, and then that person’s supervisor all the way to the regional whoeverthefuck. She tells me, yeah too bad, fuck off. Ahhh okay, I see how this goes. I am fucked. I get it. I’ll wait the 12 weeks and just never ever ever buy anything from you again. Today is 17 weeks. 17. Cb you said the bed would be here today. It’s not here, so I called you. As if we didn’t fully understand each other before, you reminded me of just how evil and uncaring you truly are by telling me that my bed did not make it on the delivery truck and would therefore not be delivered for another two weeks. And, you were not even going to call me to let me know. Cb, I hate you. Like total pure hate. I never want to see or hear from you again, and if my fucking bed actually makes it to me, I will use it as a daily reminder of how much I hate you.

I have long been a fan of Crate & Barrel so when they finally opened here I was excited. They have lots of nice stuff of great quality at mostly good prices. OK the furniture is expensive but it is also really well made.
The furniture is upstairs, most everything else is downstairs. Its a fun place to look and I always find things I want.
One of the great things about CB is that they get items that are just a bit different then the stuff everyone else is selling. If you are lucky you will find what you want on sale!
The two problems with this store are:
1 Location– please open Downtown? I am not holding my breath Seattle still has to drive to Bellview for their’s.
2. Parking– the parking around the store is limited and fills fast.
My plan of attack when I come? I park in the parking lot behind the theater and hike back. On the way I meet my Parents at the California Pizza and get their BBQ chicken pizza so good. Then freshly fueled I start wandering the store!

Buyer beware! Advertised price may be less than what you are forced to pay. I called to order a tv stand while on sale knowing that they didn’t have one on the floor.
I was very surprised to learn that due to the size of the piece 75″ long, I had no choice to pick up the piece, but instead have to pay $ 99 for delivery. I’ve got a vehicle that’s capable of picking up this size piece and I’m certainly willing to move myself to save a cool $ 100. I had bought an outdoor set previously and picked up out in North Portland which I have learned they no longer have the warehouse space. Interesting that they make the customer pay for their inability to store furniture that they are selling. It’s changed my whole mind about the place. I’m bummed, because I do like their furniture, but won’t put up with what i see as deceptive pricing and poor customer service.

We recently purchased a couch and a few other pieces of furniture and we had a great overall experience. The salesperson that we worked with was fantastic and we love the furniture. The delivery was smooth and we had no issues.

I ordered an Axis sectional and swivel chair October 1^st, 2014. I was told by the sales person that it would take 2 ½ months max to get the order. I was ok with that thinking I would most likely have it by Christmas… more than 2 ½ months away from order date. I called 4 times to check on the order. I was told 4 times someone would call me back. After the 4^th call, someone called me back a week after they said they would.
When the sales person called me back she said it would not be in until the beginning of January. That’s a bummer but ok, I can wait. then she said I needed to pay in full in order to confirm deliver… after I had already paid ¹⁄₃ of the total… So, as I understood, I paid for something I didn’t have and that I had to wait 3 weeks longer than expected… they had all my payment and I had nothing… NOT a policy that makes happy customers… a customer that spent over 6000 $ on a sectional I didn’t get to use over the holidays.

Great customer service if you’re upstairs in the furniture section, however if you’re downstairs awkwardly carrying a lot of small items in your arms desperately looking for a basket you’ll be largely ignored. The salespeople seemed to be busy chatting or pretending to do a whole lot of nothing. Same generic Crate and Barrel that looks exactly like the one in SF and San Jose with same terrible customer service. Wish I didn’t like their stuff so much :(

No customer service at all. Walked around the store for about 5 minutes, there were at least 8 employees and 2 – 4 other customers, and I did not get greeted at all.

Sometimes you just gotta go see what good design is. Most of us can’t afford anything that is not a single butter knife in this place, but if you did buy, you get the feeling that it would last (or else they’d take it back if it didn’t).
The layout is nice, just don’t let your young child loose in the housewares area! The staff are not pushy — they hang back until you look like you might need help. The only real bug for me is that sometimes the department store layout is nicer than the modular layout they are using now because it’s easier to know when you’ve seen «all the blankets» they offer or to know when you’ve been able to choose from «all the desks» and prices associated with each. But, it’s also nice to see these things in a more natural habitat of what the designers intended us to see…
The colors are contemporary and the materials are very nice. You want to touch everything in this store because the wood grains and fabric textures are all so interesting.
When you need that special rug or the investment dining room table or the coffee maker that you can’t get anywhere else from a place with a great return policy and pleasant shopping experience, then go here.
If you don’t, step in anyway and take a moment to get caught up on how you should aspire to keep your interior living spaces designed. Just don’t let yourself go broke!

Always find just the perfect thing at Crate & Barrel. Of course that thing is usually the most expensive item but that’s the problem I have with just about anything. I have the simplest of tastes. I am always satisfied with the best! Needless to say, whether you are looking for the right accent piece or just shopping for ideas, this store is a great place to start.

Crate and Barrel delivers excellent quality, albeit pricey, furniture and kitchen products. Despite the sticker shock, my wife and I seem to end up buying something here.
The 2-​story store is a tad cramped, but it is clean, bright and comfortable. The parking at Bridgeport is a freakin’ travesty, so skip the aggravation and go straight to the garage and walk.

I love Crate & Barrel, I want to decorate my whole house with their décor and furniture. The kitchen ware and accessories are especially neat; lots of unique looking serving dishes, cutting boards and platters too.
The associates are friendly and helpful. They offer great suggestions and pairings and will go out of their way to bring other colors/​models of an item you may be interested in.

Your standard Crate & Barrel store! This location is two stories, so you can take a look at all the furniture items they have. Very clean and neat, and the staff is helpful. This shopping complex can get busy, but there is plenty of parking.

Crate & Barrel, oh how I love you… let me count the ways.
I have had an ongoing love affair with C&B since day 1… their private store opening I attended with my parents, I was in college and years away from being the décor addict I am today.
Fast forward to my engagement in 2005 my husband and I (21 & 22) at the time attended the registry event. I felt like a baby and under dressed compared to the other couples there, but there were mimosas-​score! We picked out everyday (Aspen) and formal china (Audrey-​now discontinued) as well as silverware (Tuscany). After 6+ years of marriage we still love these items and use them everyday. Occasionally we have replaced chipped items.
Almost everything in my kitchen is from C&B, as well as some bedding & home décor. I purchased the fabulous Rojo cabinet in 2011 that I ended up selling to a friend since there was not a suitable place for it in our new house. I love my Shun knives. Their seasonal merchandise is modern & fun.
There are so many things I appreciate about C&B… it is affordable, the employees awesome, the products are quality, the website is easy to use and if I ever have a problem the staff goes above and beyond to help me.
I was just there today and picked up 6 9″ every bowls (pasta bowls) the 7″ Altitude serving bowl, the Sweets Small Pedestal and some other goodies my grand total was about $ 85. I know these are items I will enjoy for years to come.
Crate & Barrel, I am and will continue to be a customer for life.

I honestly don’t know why, but I am totally in love with this store. I try not to go in very often because I always buy something even when I enter with the best intentions. I find great unique gifts for friends and family and their pricing is fair considering the quality and the market comparisons. I am so happy that we have this store in the area and I hope it never goes away. Make sure to sign up to get their catalogs and once in a while you will receive a good coupon!

I LOVE CRATE AND BARREL. Just getting that out there right now. Their prices are good for high quality kitchen wares and since I am a white dishes person they are perfect. I can always find a few pieces to add to my collection (which is extensive). I was also grateful they had an amazing collection of handy BBQ tools so I created a gift to rule all gifts for my husband the BBQ fanatic — down to little individual meat thermometers for each piece (AND TYPE!) of meat… no joke. And my God, she offered to gift wrap it — holy hell I might ask them to do that to anything I get just to watch the ballet of paper, tape and magic happen — THEY DO NOT FUCK AROUND WITH GIFT WRAPPING. It is serious business… and pretty impressive to watch down to a small adhered gift receipt when you open the box and a perfectly folded top sheet of Crate and Barrel paper… seriously, buy a freaking egg cup and have it gift wrapped…

This place only gets 3 stars based on my recent experience. I bought a new lounger/​couch and had it delivered. The way they pack/​ship their couches is insuffiencient. The company had to replace my couch 3 times as each of them had shipping damage. 14 weeks after my order, I finally have an undamaged couch!
Everything here is pricey — you need to get a hold of their 10% off coupon to make it more palatable.

I needed to buy some more plates. It didn’t look like they had my pattern anymore but I wanted to ask an employee anyway, or see if there was something similar enough I could get.
It was ridiculous to get anyone to help me. I tried looking helpless for awhile, tried asking for help and was told by two busy-​looking employees that they would «find someone» to help me but never did. It seriously took me 20 minutes to get someone to make eye contact with me and help me out.
I want to believe I am just paranoid and it’s in my head but I noticed people that were dressed nicer and looking more «money» than me getting helped. People with their little dogs in the store with them.
Once I managed to wrangle someone they were nice, but I was really put off, it should not be that hard to get help. If I didn’t love their products I would have walked out, but alas I really wanted matching plates.

I’ve been to this location several times. I’m pleased that Crate and Barrel opened a store in Oregon. I’m used to seeing Crate and Barrel almost everywhere, because we recently moved from Chicago.
The customer services is 9 out of 10. The management is a bit up tight, but majority of the staff is friendly and sincere. I witnessed management talking down to a staff member in a disrepectful tone. Like all Crate and Barrel locations, they are helpful with shipping, finding items and fulfilling registry lists. I’m grateful that Crate and Barrel understood our moving situation and redirected the Chicago bound order to our new Portland address with no fuss. I was expecting to plea for my order, but Crate and Barrel made it smooth and effortless.
Stay away from this store during the weekend! Parking is a headache!
