Z Gallerie

With a review this negative it’s easy to dismiss it as not credible, easy to conclude someone just has an axe to grind, or unrealistic expectations. Don’t. If you want to save yourself time, money and some sanity.
I have always been a fan of Z Gallerie. Great stuff. But they have permanently cured me of that. We recently moved, and were remodeling. We ordered things online, and bought directly from several furniture stores from Z Gallerie (over 4 grand worth) Crate and Barrel, Pottery Barn, Restoration, etc. ZG stood out as by far the worst in terms of not delivering items, over charging, double billing, insane phone wait times, and uninterested customer service reps.
We were on hold literally for over an hour trying to talk to someone about a double bill (of $ 1,700!). Since we couldn’t get thru we left our number for a call back. When we got a call back the «Customer Service» and that term is used loosely, ironically, and sarcastically, essentially accused us of being untruthful. We explained that a previous CS rep had assured us of a delivery date and a credit for the delivery charge, since the delivery had been grossly delayed. We were asked, «Who was that?» Well, I don’t have his name. «So it was a male?» Yes. «I don’t see in my records that you ever spoke to a male representative.» Well what the F are you suggesting? I mean, you’d rather argue about the gender of a ZG CS rep (and it was a male) than help solve my problem and tell me when ZG is going to produce property that we bought months ago, and that we own, and were double billed for?
Look, every single aspect of the Z Gallerie experience AFTER they have your money is a nightmare. ZG is far and away worse than any of their competitors. We get mistakes happen. We get scheduling issues, we get some amount of delay, etc. No problem. But we were shocked with countless Z Gallerie failures. On a particular large item they pushed back a delivery date three different times, promised they’d waive the delivery charge, but didn’t, and fought with us when we asked about it. They still haven’t delivered the items or waived the delivery charge. They double billed us and still haven’t credited the overcharge back. And they have been indifferent at best, and nearly impossible to get on the phone.
Don’t order anything from them that is not in stock. Get one of those funny books you put in the bathroom. Or a wall hanging maybe. (Tho they deserve a mass boycott).
They’re out of their depth with furniture.

Rip offs do not allow their sales to provide extra off package everyday savings so not really a sale!

This is my first trip in to the store and my mind was blown! They have the coolest furnishings and accessories that I have seen in quite some time! The prices, that was even more mind blowing to me than anything because they have tons of amazing things at I have to say a very reasonable price! I had just gotten my foot out of my boot cast when we went into the store to visit so I was a little too sore and tired to walk around. Trust me though, I will be back and I will be buying a lot of things! What an awesome find! Also, the employees were awesome! Very friendly and super helpful!

I am so mad I’m shaking right now. I bought a gold console from the Tigard Zgallerie. The girl, Olivia, made a mistake and checked silver. Not realizing her mistake (why would I, I told her what I was ordering. Am I expected to hold her hand through the process?), I waited the eight weeks and then went and rented an SUV to pick it up. Then I brought it home (three hours north), and unpacked it. Silver. I called the line, was on hold for 40 minutes. They said they would wave the ‘restocking’ fee for the exchange. I told him (this delightfully condescending fellow is named Sands), that this wasn’t an exchange, this was a mistake by the store. I said I would be okay with everything if they would ship it to me for no cost considering that I am three hours away. He said no. Then I asked I could make the exchange in Seattle instead, which is one hour away. He said no. He was acting as if they were doing me some huge favor by not charging me for THEIR mistake. This is the last time I ever buy ANYTHING from Zgallerie. I still have a $ 500 gift card. I am going to sell it on ebay. Oh, if management wants to get ahold of me and make this right, I am completely open to changing my opinion.

Awesome things in this store, but the customer service is absolutely awful. While working in the customer service industry, I feel as though you should at least be greeted with a smile, and I didn’t get one at all, the entire time I was in this store. The women that work here were completely rude. Its not ok to make a customer feel like you are put out by having to help them.

I. Love. This. Place.
I don’t have a whole lot else to say about it other than Claire tries to run me through here so I don’t lock onto anything and make a list of «wants».
Our house is adorned with several pieces from Z Gallerie– the giant bright white deer head, two of the white ram heads, another white deer head statue and two white branches that fit into antler holes. Our entire living room was themed around these pieces (the rams heads are in our bedroom that has more of a rustic denali theme).
I can’t get enough of this place. My partner likes it too, until I lock on. Then we have trouble ;)

LOVE Z Gallerie! I love coming into this store and seeing all the cool things they have for your home décor. It is a lil spendy but the items they have are very unique and special. I recommend coming here if you want to find something cool and artsy for the home.

I have kind of a love/​hate relationship with Z Gallerie. While overall it is tacky and over the top I come back for more. I should disclose that I live in a 1910 craftsman, which is traditional by nature.
I shudder at the thought that someone would decorate their whole house with their furniture and décor. It gives me the princess vibe, for adults, it’s hard to describe. I do however love their accessories. Metal jacks, metal cameras, cute throws. Lots of fun gift options. Some of the tufted furniture is beautiful and I appreciate mirrored furniture. However, I find the store to be crowded and overdone, and downright overwhelming.

Tired of boring, hard angles and all white «modern» interiors, try a little glamour and glitter. I hadn’t seen a Z Gallerie in ages so this was a pleasant surprise. I think they really upped their home game. And the prices are so reasonable too!

Great Z Gallerie, friendly service and gorgeous displays. Makes me want to redecorate every room! Great prices, loads of ideas and lots of pizzazz.

This store is amazing and a recent discovery of mine which I almost want to hate because going here makes me want to redecorate my whole home. Somehow I now want a white porcelain moosehead in my freaking livingroom because they make everything look that badass! There are a great many very reasonable priced things here for regular people like myself. I even bought an amazing fig scented candle on the cheap. Even if you just walk around for inspiration — you will find it here for certain though don’t rush it… this store is one to take your time walking through.

I absolutely love The Z Gallerie.
Unfortunately, my wallet does not approve of this love. It tells me no, you may not buy that wonderful chaise lounge with plush throw and soft, welcoming pillows. No, you cannot settle for the vibrant oil on canvas because it is $ 1,000 less than the chaise making it a mere $ 750.
I stroll through the store, dreaming of the perfectly put together living or dining room. Imagining having a cocktail party and serving fancy appetizers on the beautiful stainless steel trays. Drinking from the deep, ornate goblets and thin, delicate martini glasses with the equally beautiful people I have chosen as my guests of the evening. Crystal candle holders reflecting the dancing light like a million stars. All blending into a picturesque scene out of some upscale urban magazine.
Leaving without a single scratch off my wish list, I knew I’d be back. Wishing I had been able to acquire just a few items. Someday I will. In the meantime though, it is nice to just window shop and let my imagination run free.

I am probably not, make that certainly not, the world’s foremost authority on interior design places, but this place seems to have a ton of different options for the ambitious homeowner. They even had more than one style of tabletop rhinoceros statue.
The staff here were ultra-​friendly, and there was a ton of cool stuff to look at. I can’t even comprehend paying full retail for most of the kinds of stuff they sell, let alone inflated high-​end-​mall prices, but they really do a good job of making the stuff they have seem appealing, and making it fun to look at it while you’re here.

When it comes to home décor, I typically gravitate to estate sales, garage sales, and thrift stores: Mostly for the unique factor and the thrill of the hunt. But sometimes it is nice to have something brand-​spankin’ new if it is cool and beautiful enough.
That is where Z Gallerie comes in. There are neat little odds’n-ends that I would find «cool» and «beautiful» enough to invite into my home. Coasters, a little silver fortune cookie, crystal flowers, (if it sparkles, I love it) I am part Magpie I think…
The store is serene; beautifully merchandised so you can get really good ideas of how to utilize the items in your home. While not wildly expensive, this is not budget shopping either. The few items that I did check prices on seemed to me to be in the category «life’s little luxuries» (and there is nothing wrong with that).
Still, I would buy the occasional accessory or gift from here as they have some seriously fun and unique stuff in that department.

I have this amazing love/​hate relationship with this store. I love everything about it, but for some strange reason, I hate spending any of my money there. It’s the strangest thing. I did buy a beautiful armoire that sits in my living room. It really upgrade the look.
The displays are amazing well put together and they all seem fun and lights up the surrounding. There are a number of items that you definitely say, «Wow!» but can’t push yourself to purchase. I think the high ceiling makes everything looks much better than it is.
The prices are fairly reasonable. There are a few items that ask for more than you want to spend, but it’s the exact design you want. For me it’s about quality, and Z Gallerie delivers my living space fantasy, but not the quality, which makes it hard for me to part with my money. It’s realy for the single person who wants a little pazzazz to their décor.
There are tons of decorative pieces and they’re all great. The only problem with me is that I’m trying to minimize, so there’s my dilemna with his love/​hate relationship. It’s not the store, it’s me.
Z Gallerie is really great. I saw this store years ago in California and went nuts buying things from there. When it moved here I was estatic, but now, I’m done decorating, so I may have to wait awhile longer when my décor needs an upgrade. My love will return.

Love this store and its range of home furniture and decorations. We bought a great pull-​out sofa here.
I can certainly recommend doing business here.
However, if Z Gallerie is still selling that self-​contained aquarium with the iddy-​biddy fish that feed off the kelp (or whatever that green plant is) you might pass on this purchase. Two years later, the fish are still alive, but the insides of the aquarium are grotty with algae. Still, it was a novel concept!

This one rates pretty high on my favorite list. I know it’s not completely authentic but I love it anyhow. They always have the greatest accent pieces for whichever room you plan on adding some flair too. Plus I’m a huge mirror fanatic and they have an interesting variety on hand, along with artwork and other various items. Z Gallerie in a nutshell: a great store to walk through for décor ideas and buying accent pieces for the home.
