Great place. I was referred here and Brent is top notch, reasonably priced, timely, friendly, and helpful with questions.

Brent the owner was amazing! He gave me a great deal on the work done on my car. Not only did he take the time (30 minutes) to talk to me about my best options and solutions, he gave me all the codes and told me which ones I needed to get repaired immediately. He also vowed to help me get this car in tip top shape to be sold in the future. HE is TRUSTWORTHY AND HONEST. I was also able to pick up my car after hours!!! My husband and I are so thankful for this discovery!

It is hard to find a trustworthy mechanic in Thousand Oaks. When we came across Bennett several years ago, we went to Brent for a second opinion; the first auto shop took a look under the hood and said it would be about $ 1200 to fix the issue. Not feeling comfortable with the big $$, we happened across Brent at Bennett Automotive and asked him to look at the issue. A few hundred dollars later (a part we were told was bad turned out not to be), we left totally satisfied with his service. Since then, we have found him to always provided honest assessments of the repairs that need to be done and he always stands behind his work. With my son’s driving now, we are a 5 car family and I will only trust our cars to Brent! Highly recommend!

Bennett automotive is a wonderful place to take your car for repairs. Brent in my opinion, runs his shop with professionalism and honesty. His pricing is fair for the work that he performs, and he keeps you informed about any additional repairs that are needed. You will never need another mechanic if you go to Bennett’s!

I’ve been coming here for about eight years now, with probably seven or eight different vehicles, Brent knows his shit, and handles business. Brent is very trustworthy and true to his word, you never have to think twice when you leave your vehicle with him, he’s not a stereotypical mechanic that try’s to screw you and sell you unnecessary work like a lot of places. I would definitely recommend bringing your vehicle here.

I’m not sure how long we’ve been taking our cars to Bennett’s but I know it’s at least 15 years. Brent is great. He is honest and fair and always does terrific work. If he says something needs to be replaced, you know it needs to be replaced. There is never any second guessing when dealing with Brent. And it’s always a pleasure to just chat with him too.

I only trust taking my car here!!! I TRAVEL FROM SAN DIEGO to have Brent look at my truck, I have been going here for years and I only trust him. I took my car to be looked at in San Diego and they gave me a quote/​list that was outrageous. So I called Brent and asked if he would double check. Sure enough more then half of what was on that list didn’t need to be worked on!
I respect his honesty, and fare prices! its tough being a girl bringing your car to a mechanic lol!

I have been taking my car to Brent for years after some bad experiences with the Ford Dealer in T.O. I live in Ventura and drive to Thousand Oaks just to have my car looked after by Bennett Automotive. It’s especially important for Women to feel confident that they are not being taken advantage of by a mechanic. Brent has never talked down to me and in fact, I have actually assisted him in a repair on my car, (my choice because I love to learn new stuff). I recently found out his last name isn’t Bennett. Great mechanic!

Bennett is the best! My family has been going here for at least 15 years and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Brent is fantastic! So often, mechanics who do a good job don’t relate well to people. But Brent does both perfectly. Even when I moved out of state and a mechanic told me something that sent up red flags, Brent was there for me. I called him to tell him what was going on and he steered me in the right direction — with no benefit to himself.
I’ve now moved back to this area and I called to make an appointment for an oil change. Brent remembered not only who I was but also the nickname I gave my car. He’s fast, reliable, charges a fair price, tells you what is going on with your car in plain English, and talks to women without condescension.
