Fix-it 24/7

I just bought a house and the day we were moving in the temperature inside was only 50deg. I knew I had set the thermostat to hold at 65deg 2 days before so I thought I had messed up. I bumped the thermostat up to 68 and waited. An hour later the house was still 50deg. It was late and we were tired so we just went to bed.
The next morning (Sunday) I started calling around. The first place I called said they were available 24hrs but no one ever answered the phone. The second place I called I spoke with a nice woman who said she would have her tech call me. He called about 30 minutes later and was so rude, condescending and unprofessional that I told him I would be calling someone else. Plus he wanted $ 139 just to show up. I knew it was the weekend but I thought that was an unreasonable amount. The third call was to Fix it ²⁴⁄₇. They were professional during the call and told me the tech would be calling me.
About 15 – 20 minutes later their tech (Son) called and told me he was at another job but thought he could be at my house in about an hour and there would be a $ 49 service fee. I agreed. He called about 30 minutes later to tell me he was on the way.
When he showed up he put booties on over his shoes and went to look at the furnace. He quickly determined that the ignitor was out, discussed it with me along with the pricing and replaced it. The entire time he was there he was friendly, professional and explained everything to us. I will be using them (specifically Son if I can) again.
Update: I called them again to get some pricing on some non emergency work. I talked to David in the office who said he would call me back with pricing or have their plumber call me. I never heard back from anyone. That was hugely disappointing so I’ve taken a star away from them.

On Tuesday, December 8, Bruce from Fix-​It ²⁴⁄₇ came to my home to give me an estimate on replacing my 17 year old hot water heater. We scheduled the job to be done on Friday, December 11, between 9 — 11 am. The day before, Dave, from the office, called to ask if I was okay with George coming to do the job instead of Bruce as he was needed at a different job site on Friday. I said that was fine.
About 9 am on Friday, December 11, George called to say that he was getting the tank and all the parts and equipment needed and would be at my home by 10:30. And he was. I showed him where the old tank was and he carefully explained to me what he was going to do, parts he was going to replace in addition to the tank, and how he would proceed. He was very polite and explained things in easy to understand terms. He proceeded to work and before I realized it he was done. He showed me how to light the pilot should it go out, where the dial was for the water temperature, the drains, shut off valve and all the parts he replaced (new gas line, pressure release pipe, etc.)
I appreciate the professionalism these men exhibited and how courtesy they are. I have used Fix-​It ²⁴⁄₇ before for the furnace check up in the fall and the air conditioner check up in the spring, but never had any major work done by this company. I would recommend this company to anyone.

I sent a copy of their service call receipt to them today, proving that their employee was here and provided the quote. I really don’t appreciate essentially being called a liar in their public response.

We called Fix It ²⁴⁄₇ to come out when our 13 year old Air Conditioner stopped working. I was ready to hear our A/​C was finally DOA.
What a fantastic company, the techs that came onsite Donny and George were fantastic. Super professional, let us know exactly what they suspected could be happening all throughout the process, and were actually able to fix our A/​C for much, much less than we were expecting. What a pleasant surprise!
We will use Fix It ²⁴⁄₇ again and again. Honest, Trustworthy and Reliable Service!

I love it when I get extraordinary service! I was up until 1:00AM last night thawing a frozen A/​C evaporator coil. I called Fix it ²⁴⁄₇ this morning and they promised a technician between noon and 2:00. By 10:00 Son Van called to tell me he could be there earlier and to get some more info about the problem. He showed up early and solved everything immediately, for the price of a $ 49 service call! Son was extremely polite and courteous, wore booties over his shoes, and left the place looking great too. I cannot recommend these guys enough, especially Son Van. I would give them 10 stars if I could. I’ll never use anybody else.

*AVOID THIS PLACE! * Our air conditioner stopped working while we were away over the weekend and we arrived to a 92 degree home. We called for service and waited over five hours and never received a return call. Their answering service is unprofessional and insulted me when I called back after waiting two hours. We called a competitor, NOW heating & AC who responded immediately, was at our door in less than 20 minutes, and had our AC functioning within an hour.

Our air conditioner has been freezing up, so I called to set an appointment. Day of the appointment rolled around and I took off work to ensure I was at the house. Service tech no call no showed. Got a call the next day that the tech was on his way, rushed home from work again. Tech called again, they had written down the wrong address. Once he finally got to my house service was excellent, but a day late to the wrong address is frustrating.

Fix it ²⁴⁄₇ is a great company. They are professional and get the job done! They saved me in a pinch when I needed my Furnace cleaned and certified and was closing on the house the next morning and another company failed to do what they had promised when they promised. Highly recommended.

Louis came to my house this morning as my water heater was having issues with keeping the water hot. When I called I was given a window of 8 – 10 in the morning, and he arrived at about 8:30. Louis was very knowledgable with water heaters. He was able to quickly diagnose the problem, which was a very simple repair. He gave me options of what different repairs and such would cost. He stayed to make sure the simple repair fixed the issue. This was a great experience and I highly recommend the company and Louis.

Great service, friendly, quick and reliable. I had a bathtub faucet that was leaking bad. He showed up and didn’t have the part, but came back the next day and was super quick, and fixed a couple of other small leaks I was having for free. They work late hours so I didn’t have to take off work early or rearrange plans for him to stop by. Overall good experience, would definitely use them again.

Yesterday I received a call from their CEO, (he had been out of the Country when our issues occurred). He advised me of the following:
— the second technician that came out to the house, taped up the exhaust pipe, told us we needed an IDM motor and that our furnace was pretty much toast — has be let go.
— the company is putting in place additional training/​tools for technicians.
— he apologized for the lack of communication following the incident and shared that what happened was not what he expects of this company.
Sounds like many positive changes are being made. I’m glad the company responded and vowed to make things right. We were given our money back and a dinner voucher along with a personalized letter from the CEO. All of this was hand delivered to our home.
I was very impressed with his expression of service and his ability to execute on his words. I’d love to give the local companies my money and perhaps they deserve a second chance. Thanks for making this right.

My air conditioning croaked, so I looked online for yet another heating and air outfit (since I’ve never been real tickled about the service from others we’ve tried). Well, lots of AC’s were croaking evidently (hotter’n hell this summer, huh?), and it took a couple of days before Brighton Plumbing was able to get to it. A real fine fellow named Brian showed up as scheduled, quickly diagnosed our problems, and quickly fixed our problems. He also took the time to show me how to keep my AC at its peak. Really, above and beyond.
The kicker for me was that the bill was way less than I expected for the work he did and the time he spent. As in «Is that all?» inexpensive.
Hey, what do ya know? I have me a plumbing and AC outfit for good now!
