History

Established in 2000.

Hi, I’m Rex LaBotte. I started this business in Longmont, Colorado in September, 2000 with a used van and a lot of «umph.» Within thirty days I had the Boulder County account and two property management companies for clients. Within six months I’d added more property managers, county facilities and numerous plumbing companies; I became known as the «pro’s choice» and was strictly working for other professionals and local area businesses. By the end of the first year my reputation spread by word of mouth to homeowners and real estate agents and I had more work than I could handle.

This is from a guy who really only wanted to work three days a week and go back to school.

Instead, eleven years later I now have three trucks, an excavating crew, an office manager, and a «honey-​do list» a mile long. That’s my story… and I wouldn’t trade it for nothin’ — I love it. Talk to you soon.

Business Owner

Born in southern Illinois, moved to San Francisco in 1970, worked in the shipyards and corporate moving industries from late 70’s through the early 80’s. Then did my journeyman-​ship with a local big-​name plumbing company starting in 1986, and I worked there for eight years. After that I went back to the shipyards for a time, then in 1991 I met my best friend and the love of my life, and we moved to Longmont Colorado. I worked for the Boulder County Sheriff’s department and the City of Longmont before starting Drain-​Away. The rest is history.
