Flatbreads were sad and the wings were undercooked. The waitress never checked on us and assumed my change was her tip. I will not visit again.

Was looking forward to having a drink and something to eat out on the patio. Two waitresses walked passed us a few times taking drink orders from other customers, that were seated after us. We waited approximately ten minutes, then decided to leave. Returned the menus to the hostess and told her no one served us. She was rude and didn’t even offer an apology. They really need to work on their customer service.

20 minute wait. But wait. I see open tables. Ok. Well whatever. 20 minutes comes and a host says it’s going to be another 20 minutes. I say but they’re are open tables everywhere. Guy says manager says the kitchen is behind and they don’t want to sit us until they catch up. Ok fine. 50 minutes later many tables leave. Now half the restaurant is open and they’re still not sitting us. That’s it I’m done. I’m leaving. I walk out the door and they chase me asking if I’m ready to be seated. I’m like forget it now. They only even asked because I was leaving. As far as the food. Last time I ate there it was mediocre at best. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere where else and avoid the aggravation. It also would’ve been nice if the manager had the chops to speak to us themselves. Never again.

I was going out to lunch with a few of my girlfriends and we decided to try some place new. We all are fairly open-minded restaurant goers, but this was a disappointing first experience and I doubt any of us will give this a second opportunity. Going out to eat has gotten to be pricey and we would prefer spend our money on a better choice. We ate inside, which was virtually empty. The outside bar however was packed. We weren’t sure which was the better omen(empty or packed?). Obviously we were seated promptly and the waitress was polite. The first thing that went wrong was one of us ordered an Arnold Palmer(lemonade & iced tea mixed). When it came it was all Iced Tea. Eventually we were told the lemonade machine was broken and only water was coming out, but they finally found a way to get her the drink she wanted. Next problem is that one of us has an allergy to black, red & white pepper, but she has never had a problem getting something to eat. Our waitress went to check with the chef and was told that all of their food is pre-seasoned and it all contained pepper. They offered to microwave a chicken breast from their freezer, but told her it would be rubbery. Eventually she ended up with a small plain side salad with oil & vinegar dressing. It was ok, but not what she had wanted. The rest of us tried: 1. The Black & Blue Stoneflat– which was a flatbread with a little bit of steak, rubbery tomatoes and a drizzle of balsamic sauce that overpowered everything else. 2. The Soup of the day was Conch Chowder, which came out as vegetable soup. If there was conch in the soup it was cut so fine as to be impossible to find or taste. 3. The House Salad, which was very good as long as you like goat cheese. 4.The blackened Chicken Sandwich, which was just«Ok» 5. The Meatball Sandwich which my friend declared«Really Good». Considering there were only a few tables with patrons you would think we would have gotten great service and very speedy delivery of our food. Sadly this wasn’t true. Even the request for a piece of garlic bread took more than 5 minutes to get to the table. Our waitress seemed like she was either fairly new to the trade or just a bit scattered.

Basil tomato soup was excellent opt for a bowl, you will be glad that you did. The hubby and I married it with the stem salad and Ruben fired flatbred.

We were visiting family here and stopped in for dinner. We sat on the patio and it was excellent. The people watching, the music from the town square, they had some great beers on tap. We all left very full and happy.

It’s market day today(Saturday) so we went shopping and then decided to have lunch here. Great nachos and chicken wings. Fantastic bloody Mary’s! Live the live music too.

The menu is the same since we moved to the Villages(very uninspiring), but the drinks are a nice pour and priced right. Would love to see some menu changes, so we could start going for more than drinks.

Service as good. Food was yummy. They offer gluten free crusts. Timing was good. They had a live singer outside. They have music set up for indoor live band. We’ll be back!

The food is good, the environment is good, the service is good! I have nothing negative to say about city fire! My parents moved to The Villages two years ago and are on the younger side of the residents living there. My sister and I are 23&24 and we love coming to visit bc of places like city fire! It is entertaining to watch the residents dance and sing! Sitting outside for some drinks is always a good time while listening to the entertainment in the square. During Christmas and thanksgiving time my sister and I will come here on our own for a fun night out! This place is not just for the old folks! It’s a blast!

The food is four star. I had the Turkey/Pear/Brie flat bread and it was delicious. The brie was among the best I’ve tasted. My wife had the chicken salad and said it too was great. The house cab was very good and a real bargain at $ 3.50. Summer our wait person was excellent and the food came quickly. The only problem was that the live music was so loud we could not carry on a conversation with the couple we were with — – and it never stopped. We were there on a Thursday evening at 7:15 so if you want to enjoy a nice quite meal with great food call and find out when the music starts. If you love loud music in your ear all dinner and you want great food this is the place and time.

I was hoping to be able to give City Fire 5 stars but the service was just too slow/too poor for us. Fortunately for them, the food made up for it. when we arrived, we were greeted promtptly and sat at a four top table in the middle of the restaurant. A few other guests were dining sporadically as well but the restaurant was definitely slow with the exception of their open outside bar area. After we were sat it took an extended period of time before our server came by. This set the highlight of the server the rest of the meal because it took a long time to receive our drinks after we placed the order for them and then if we needed anything additional, she seemed nowhere to be found. It appeared that the bartender was also our server which was a little concerning considering the bar was the only busy section of the restaurant. As for the food; I was thrilled they had gluten free options for me! I support any place with gluten free menu options! I ordered the mozzarella and tomato flatbread along with one of their house salads, my boyfriend ordered their half order of nachos and my daughter ordered the kids flatbread. The food was amazing. If I ever drive through this town again I would consider stopping here despite the service.

We had an excellent meal. I was thrilled to see the choices on the menu that could be made gluten free. Especially loved the flat bread pizza’s. Their fish is excellent also. The only drawback is the live entertainment… much too loud and it competes with the entertainment going on in Paddock Square. Server Ernie was excellent — he made suggestions, he was friendly and certainly made our visit enjoyable. We’ve been back 3 times and will go back again.

This was our 4th and final visit to City Fire. Service has been consistently horrible. Not spotty. Not bad. The worst! This most recent experience was notable. Our server was Michelle whose personality wavered between sullen and surly. Long wait times between sitting down and drink order. Long time to deliver our drink order(bottle of wine). Table adjacent to us waited nearly 20 minutes after they asked for their check. Dining options have been limited in Brownwood but now Ricciardi’s open and we look forward to that option.

We went for an after movie dinner around 9pm. The brownwood site has a very nice décor with modern accents and a huge bar. We sat very far from the dance floor, but still couldn’t hear ourselves over the blaring 70’s disco and r and b music. Nice blues, rock or jazz would be a better choice. My dinner consisted of garlic chicken wing appetizer and a large house salad. Half the wings were cooked correctly and half underdone. The garlic was overpowering. My salad was made with baby spring greens. Golden raisins, goat cheese, and seeds. It was very fresh, but lacked enough dressing(dry). We has an enjoyable time people watching, and will give it another chance.

Straight up– the bar here is a popular swingers spot for the over sixties crowd. People watching is unavoidable. Even if you want to avoid it. Patio is nice weather permitting. Tasty appetizers an meals just as you would expect. Good drinks too. Let it be dinner and a show. Best way to go.

Pleasantly surprised. The food was outstanding, everthing tasted great. Flatbreads are awesome here. We shared an appetizer of Goat cheese served amidst tomato bisque, you dip little garlic breads into it. Oh how I love goat cheese. Limited draft selection was augmented with some bottles. I still would have given this 5 stars if it had not been for the very slow service we received. Seemed like the shift manager on duty did little more than crack her whip. She should have stepped in and helped when she saw the servers had been punted into the weeds. Instead she simply walked around speaking to her servers. Most managers I think would roll up their sleeves and pitch in, right?
