Temecula Creek Inn

This place is beautiful but I was disappointed that they apparently don’t consider the availability of parking spaces for those staying at the Inn when they have weddings at the resort. We couldn’t find a parking spot and we were staying there. The on site restaurant is pretty highly rated on Unilocal but my experiences with it were not good ones. We ate there and it was not good. Later we wanted a soda but there is not a soda machine so they can force you to use the restaurant. I had to pay $ 3 for a soda that they only put about 12oz in a 16oz cup.

I got married here and it was beautiful. It is a naturally beautiful setting, so you only need minimal decorations, which saves money! The ceremony and the reception are all in the same area (Stone Meadows), which gives your wedding an intimate feel. We even had room for lawn games that our guests really loved. Cara and the rest of the wedding staff work hard for you to ensure that your event is perfect. I highly recommend!

Worst policy ever and NO assistance from Michelle at the front desk. No late check-​out? Was told they couldn’t do it when it’s their fault for delaying my hubby’s tee time, which means he will finish 18 holes much later, and how that affects me is that I have nowhere to go in this heat while I wait for him. Holding my bags and wine at front desk doesn’t help ME! Where’s the service?! Never staying here again. Btw the carpet is so dirty that I have to wear sandals in the room.

My husband and I got married at TCI 3 weeks ago ~ it was a wonderful choice for our wedding and a place we will come back to for years to come! The staff were helpful and responsive during our planning process, especially Crystal and Cara. We worked extensively with Cara who was our onsite/​night of wedding coordinator at the hotel, and she was absolutely amazing — bending over backwards to make sure everything went as planned and that we were happy. We were also very happy with their recommended vendors whom we used, particularly Celebrations by Diana planning and day of event coordinators (
) as well as Soirée Design & Events (
) for our flowers :)
The staff at TCI were friendly and responsive, the setting is absolutely beautiful (we had our Friday night dinner at the Meadows and our wedding at the Stone House), and the food was great too. Overall a wonderful experience and a magical place!

We were here for one night for a wedding and overall were very impressed. We ate at the restaurant and the food was very good. My wife and I both had the caprese salad which was priced well and was ample in portion. The wine list was good (we both got wine) and they had local brews. The only downside was they were out of smoked chicken for their salad by lunch on a Monday which seemed odd and that’s my only criticism of this place. We used the pool which is decent size. Our room was spacious, clean and had a balcony which had we been there longer would have utilized. The wedding venue was classy and not cheesy. They had two bars available for guests and the grounds were spacious. It’s a country club that didn’t have the country club vibe or prices.

My husband and I planned an anniversary trip here and was very excited about our weekend last Friday. The executive king room was overlooking the golf course and the room was very clean and neat but a bit outdated. Unfortunately, there was a fire near the hotel by the 15 fwy and helicopters were flying by to pick up water from the lake in the golf course and the noise was so loud. There was ash in the pool so we couldn’t use the pool and on our balcony so we couldn’t sit outside either. We did go to their restaurant and the food was delicious and the service was great too. I wish I remembered the name of our server. She was very attentive and the large windows on the restaurant allow for great views of the golf course. I cannot give the hotel five stars because we couldn’t really get to walk around much because of the fire but hopefully we can try it again someday.

My husband and I spent the day here on the golf course, we played on Oak and Creek. The golf courses were well maintained and beautiful. We scheduled our Tee time through Unilocal and actually received a great deal, also included in the fee was the golf cart. We ended the day by eating at the restaurant up top and it was delicious, we ordered the tri-​tip and shrimp angel hair pasta.

This place rocked. Stayed here for a wedding and slept here three nights. The staff couldn’t have been nicer or more friendly. My room overlooked the golf course and it was great to be on the third floor so I could keep my deck door open all night. The 2 mile walking trail was perfect, lots of good pictures taken and beats a treadmill in a germy exercise room. Cork Fire must not be missed– excellent food but slightly slow (breakfast was fast, lunch and dinner were slow). The wedding was beautiful. Great place to stay!

Every year my husband and I go out of town for Mother’s day weekend for a golf trip. Usually we go to Palm Springs but this year we chose to do more of a stay-​cation closer to home and have always wanted to stay at TCI. We’re fortunate to have family who are members of Pauma Valley CC so we get to play there quite a bit, but we still try to play TCI often since the course is one of my favorites, especially Stonehouse. Corkfire (the restaurant) is fantastic and has a great selection of delicious food and cocktails. Unfortunately the service provided on both the course and the restaurant do not seem to extend to that of the hotel.
I want to disclose that we got a great stay and play package from UnderPar for our one-​night stay at TCI (room plus golf for two). It was very apparent to us that this was the reason our stay (and the way we were treated from the start) wasn’t as pleasant as we had hoped for.
First, my husband tried to book our room about a month in advance. The girl at reception stated that the hotel was completely sold out for every Sunday except one in late May. She was very adamant that there were no exceptions. However, when we had checked TCI’s website online, there were plenty of rooms available for every single weekend including the Sunday we had asked for. After a little back-​and-​forth with UnderPar, my husband received a call from TCI and miraculously they had a room available. Strange, but ok.
On the day of check-​in, we had a tee time reserved for 11 a.m. We arrived at TCI at about 10:15 and checked in at the reception desk. We ask if the room we were provided had a view of any kind and she says no, but politely gives us another room «with a view.» She stated that TCI was «sold out» that night, but that because of the package we purchased, she was restricted from giving us rooms in certain buildings. This was fine with us, all we requested was a view.
At about 3 pm after we played a round of golf we came back to reception to collect our key. The first thing we noticed when we pulled our car up to the room was that the parking lot was completely empty. We were the only car there. What happened to being sold out?
We then enter the room (# 210) and were hit with the worst smell ever. The only thing I can compare it to is as if someone sprayed the room with Bengay. It was so strong that we left the front door open as well as the sliding glass door to get some air circulating in there. In addition to the rotten smell in the room was the state of the bathroom. There was mold on the ceiling and the toilet was so close to the cabinet that your shoulder touched while in use. There was also spider webs all over the lamp in the room and chairs on the patio with dead bugs. Oh, and that view we were switched to? Bushes with a view of the parking lot. To their credit, the bed was very comfortable and we slept well, but that’s about the only thing I can say that we enjoyed about our stay at the hotel. The hot tub has a nice view of the course, but everything is completely run down. There are webs all over the place and it doesn’t seem like maintenance and upkeep is a priority. These are minor things that didn’t ruin our stay, but I would certainly be disgusted if we were paying full price for this place.
A convention of some sort arrived much later that night and when we had dinner at the restaurant there were only 6 people from the convention with their little binders sitting around the bar. Since we had checked in at about 10, they could have easily placed us in a room with an actual view like we had requested. But again, it was VERY obvious that we were given a horrible room because we bought a package deal through a third party. My suggestion is that if you are going to treat people who buy an outside package differently, maybe don’t make deals with those outside companies. Sorry, but it’s definitely left us with a bad perception of TCI and we won’t stay there again or recommend it to anyone. Shame since we love to golf there.

We traveled across country for a destination wedding. I was in charge of booking several rooms for multiple days. Since the wedding was being held at the Temecula Creek Inn, we decided to stay there. I am sooo glad.
To begin with, I really don’t like dealing with phones and all that ’ our menu has changed, so listen carefully,’ stuff. And the people at the TCI were professional and happy to please. This is good when you are trying to book rooms for different dates for check-​in and check-​out. I contacted them by phone, several times. And their staff made it easy.
We arrived on Wednesday night. We were able to check right in and the room was great. It was spacious, clean, with a great view of the golf course and the mountains. As the crowd stumbled in, we all went over to their restaurant, the Cork Fire Kitchen. It’s conveniently located rigth on the grounds. Everything was close and were able to walk everywhere.
The Cork Fire Kitchen serves delicious breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. The food was excellent. The drinks were tasty. The service was all you could ask for. Yes, it’s expensive, but it’s a resort. You can always go to Old Town Temecula for your meals. Of course, it’s crowded and you end up standing in line with everyone.
The service was excellent. Need a towel?, right away. Tub doesn’t drain fast enough? No problem sir. We’ll have an engineer out while you’re at breakfast. Anything you need, right away.
One of my favorite things there was the hiking trail. It’s a two mile loop that provides excellent views of the country side. We walked it several times.
The wedding was great. Beautiful location, excellent catering, and even enough staff to make sure the outside tent kept warm in the nighttime breezes. It was not their first rodeo.
One small thing — they needed were more electrical outlets in the rooms. How about installing those lamps with the two plugs right on top of the nightstand. It’s an easy thing to correct and make this move from the 99^th percentil to the 100% perfect.

Just love working at this venue, feels far away from everything yet still in San Diego, gorgeous grounds to shoot and have a wedding coming from a photographers eye !

My (now) husband and I got married here in early March after selecting the venue back in July 2015. The Stonehouse venue is absolutely beautiful and magical (it’s also completely outdoors… good to note for a rain plan).
Going into the wedding planning/​venue selection process we heard NIGHTMARE stories and so I was incredibly hesitant to lock in on a venue. However, upon an impromptu pit-​stop at TCI in June 2015, Crystal the Catering Sales Mgr greeted us and, despite not having an appointment (*not recommended), showed us around the property and provided us with a quote to consider. I was overwhelmed by her welcoming demeanor and impeccable customer service, by far the BEST experience we had at a site visit… and there were MANY (around 25+). In addition to her help onsite, Crystal was prompt and frequent with her follow up to make sure all questions were answered and to help get us to a place that was comfortable for our budget.
With all of that in consideration it just seemed meant to be so we locked in… fast forward to November/​December, a bit of staffing changes/​shuffling (and many payment installments later), and I started to get a bit nervous (thinking, «yup this is where the nightmare begins, they hooked us, we’re in it now») …then Crystal made the hand-​off and we were introduced to Cara (a brand new hire) who was going to be the one to help make the day happen. I was skeptical at first but she was so sweet, thorough, and all-​around lovely, I left our final details meeting with a really great feeling about her.
Fast forward to the week/​day of the wedding… PURE CHAOS… in my world (lol…okay, well perhaps not «pure chaos», but there was a lot of moving parts I was trying to keep track of vendors to confirm, final payments to be made, miscellaneous details and décor to be inventoried and packed… you get the idea). On top of it all, El Nino decided to be a VERY special guest at our wedding (think of that drunk uncle who is just wayyyy to loud and really doesn’t know when to leave). Despite the inclement weather we pushed on (with the entirely outdoor venue + last minute tent). Cara was AWESOME, she kept in constant contact with me, provided her cell # and was great about texting when I needed confirmation on anything. Additionally, the hotel staff were SPECTACULAR — from check in, through the BIG NIGHT, and checking out that Saturday I truly felt like we were valued guests and everyone wanted to make our experience great! Special shout outs the front desk staff who orchestrated delivery of over a dozen welcome baskets to my out-​of-​town guests, the banquet staff (and Nikki –our server who made sure me and the hubby got to eat at the wedding!) and everyone else who went above and beyond to make sure we had absolutely everything we needed throughout the 3 days we were there. We cannot wait to go back and celebrate our special day again, and again! You’ve truly earned life-​long customers :-)

Great place, nice and quiet! My husband and I wanted a very low key staycation, we live in the San Diego area. Right off the bat the front desk agent on duty was very polite, congratulated us on our 2 year anniversary.
Our room was spotless, very welcoming and overlooked the golf course. We even got a little note and a bottle of wine from management congratulating us on our anniversary, which was very sweet, little things like this make a stay more memorable.
We had dinner at Cork Fire, the restaurant on property, which was fantastic! Our waitress was very patient, my husband likes to ask a lot of questions about the menu at every restaurant we go to. I forget the names of what exactly we had gotten, but honestly you can’t really go wrong. We had two appetizers, two entrées and two desserts to kinda feel things out. ;P The chocolate cake and crèmebrule (I don’t know how to spell it) were amazing! And again the waitresses congratulated us on our anniversary, which was sweet. Like I said, it’s the little things.
I definitely recommend this place for couples that want some peace and quiet.

This hotel has an ideal location as far as scenery. I would «assume» they make most money off of their weddings there, which look inviting. However, as I have stayed there before and again this weekend, the rooms need major updating. The décor of the room and all the furnishing are stuck in the 80’s including the bathroom. And you pay over $ 200 a night to stay here for this old room.
If the hotel put in major bucks to update the rooms, they would see it in their future revenue and get more repeat business.
Also, I got to the hotel real early yet there are not alot of places to park. If the grounds of the Temecula Creek Resort and Golf could add more parking that would also be nice.

My husband surprised me with a weekend here for our 1year anniversary. I’ve traveled quite a bit and this place was beyond phenomenal. From the staff, to the breathtaking views, to the cleanliness of the rooms; I was quite impressed.
It’s not a state of the art modern place (like I’m used too) but that’s the family like charm of this inn. It has a rustic theme with comfortable furnishings. Our room was HUGE! Included was a comfortable couch, writing table and chairs, a kuerig machine w/​tea and coffee packets, large flat screen Tv and dual sinks and luxurious white robes.
They even gifted us with a hand written thank you card wishing us the best on our 1yr anniversary and included a bottle of wine. –Where they do that at now days!!!
It rained on the 2^nd day of our stay, but we woke up to our warm robes and enjoyed a quiet morning taking in the landscaped golf course and lush trees on the wraparound balcony. A much needed break from our hectic schedules.
(My hubbies review) The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our stay. They exceeded his expectations. They we’re very helpful as this was his first time planning something like this. ALL WE HAD TO DO WAS SHOW UP! Both of us would totally recommend this place for a beautiful escape from the norm.

We stayed here for the Valentine weekend and our experience was not good.
We arrived at the hotel a little past 4pm and when my fiancé checked in, he was told that our room was not ready yet and he was advised to sit down and wait for them to call us when our room is ready.
After about 20 minutes, I decided to go to the counter and check the status of our room. I insisted that the check in time is at 4pm and our room should been ready already. The lady I was talking to said that there was a party the night before and the one who used the room checked out late (which in my mind should not be later than 1pm because the check out time is at 12.). I explained that it should not impact us because we even got there after 4pm. After some time, the lady offered to make up for it by offering us complimentary drinks at Cork Fire and I accepted it (but which we actually didn’t claim/​avail).
The view of our room is the golf course and I must say it’s pretty. When we settled in, we mostly stayed outside the patio to enjoy the view while having a little drink.
When it was time for us to sleep very late at night, we heard a lot of noises around us — from the room above and the room next to ours. There were heavy footsteps from the second floor and some people chattering. We could also hear noises from the other room when someone would use the shower. In short, we were not able to get a good rest because of the noises and those were mainly because of the thin walls or poor building structure. The next day, we decided to check out early at around 8 am.
So we must say that for the price we paid for our stay here, we definitely did not get our money’s worth. This is not the best place to relax and have a good night rest.

The mark of any outstanding business is how they react when things aren’t going well.
When things are going well, at say a resort where the room rate is North of $ 200, you expect everyone to be courteous, perceptive, professional, and responsive to the customers. When things are not going so well, in my mind what distinguishes a business is how they respond to lapses in service or systems.
Yes the grounds are gorgeous, and our room was very nice, just be aware that the resort has four builldings with the hotel rooms, and they are kind of spread out. There is no elevator to the second floor. If you have some elderly folks in your party, they may have an issue here, or you’ll be chaeuffering them around.
We had two big problems here.
On Sunday, we were out of the room all day on a wine tour. When we returned at 6 PM, we were stunned to see the room had not yet been made up. As we were leaving for dinner, housekeeping knocked on the door and asked if we «wanted the room made up». Yes, that is 100% true. Were they busy from weddings? Was the hotel sold out? Did they have mass check-​outs that day? I don’t care, they should have been able to manage that need and not knock on a door at 6 PM and ask «do you want your room made up»?.
Next stop was dinner at the Cork Fire Restaurant, we sat in the back right corner. The view of the golf course is beautiful. What we weren’t told was there was a problem with the dining room lights, and soon our table was in pretty much pitch blackness. The candle on our table didnt do much. I couldn’t see if my shrimps had a shell or not.
We should have been told right up front that there was a problem. When we expressed our disatisfaction to the waiter he basically apologized and offered no remedy. When we said the same to the hostess, she did the same. No offer to get a manager, no offer for anything. We left after our meal, and passed on coffee and dessert because we were not enjoying ourselves.
These are two pretty grievous problems that shouldn’t be encountered at a high end facility.
Otherwise, this would have been a rave 4-​star review.

The service was excellent!!! They let us check in early and enjoy our room. We had about any overlooking the golf course which was so beautiful and amazing. The restaurant next-​door was really delicious. They brought us a rollaway bed and extra towels. I would deathly recommend this place to anyone.

This place is a hidden gem tucked away in the hills of Temecula. The golf course looks well maintained and is still green!
Parking is easy and this place is easy to get in and out of.

I had no idea this place was out here… it took a while to get here but it was really worth the drive! The grounds were gorgeous and they are set up for a lot of different events. I can’t comment on the accommodations as far as lodging but the rooms did look beautiful from the golf course.
We were there to play golf. We showed up and everything was well organized. If you sign up for a deal that they have, they will give you an annual discount. We did so and got our green fee for $ 50 with a cart. For a course of this caliber, that is a steal!
We were ushered to the tee box very professionally and proceeded to have a fantastic round of golf. The fairways were nice and wide and the grounds were really, really well kept. My only criticism was the first green on the Oaks course as it was being aerated. Other than that, the greens. Were fast and frankly the best I’ve ever golfed on. This is a 27 hole course that I plan on coming back to and playing the additional 9 that I didn’t get to make it to on this trip.
If you golf more than 4 times a year, sign up for the deal and hit this place up. If you only golf once a year, this place is a great destination. While you’re at it, stay for dinner and then retire to one of their rooms for the night. I think I might do the same on an upcoming weekend…
