The Legends Golf Club

Walked into the pro shop and the associate behind the counter was deep into a conversation with some clown with slicked back hair. The clown obviously worked there as a manager, yet customer service was not his first priority as I stood there waiting for five minutes as their conversation continued.
Paid for a couple buckets of balls as I experienced the rude and poor customer service of the associate. Wonder where he got his example from!
All in all there are better courses and amenities out there. I enjoy being at a place where the employees are happy and customer service is exemplified, not the other way around. I plan to give my money to a place that appreciates it, not expects it.

Haven’t played here for three years. Played this weekend because they had a great rate due to punched greens. Course is in great shape and is a good challenge for average skill golfers. I had a good day for me, an 86, with a birdie on my nemesis hole, #5. I am looking forward to another round here soon. Staff is very accommodating and friendly.

This was our first time playing this course. On vacation from long beach. I always read Unilocal reviews when it comes to trying out a new course. And I have to say the reviews were better than the actual reality of the condition of this course. The only review that was closest to reality were the greens are good and very true.
What we had a problem with is the condition of the fairways! Yikes! Everyone was splotchy with clusters of weeds and thin layers of dried grass. And don’t get me started on the rough! If they would spend the money on making these fairways more desirable I wouldn’t have a problem paying the $ 40 on GolfNow. Honestly, we paid $ 45 at 1:30 with cart at Red Hawk and were very pleased with the condition at that course. Honestly I would rather play Red Hawk than this Legends course.
One positive note on both these course is the pace of play. On Legends we tee’d off at 12:00 and were done by 3:45. Even with the two youngsters in the group ahead of us hacking it up all over the place.
Pace of play is a big deal to us being from Long Beach, we’re tired of 6+ hour rounds around here!

Pretty nice golf course built around the housing track. Place is well kept up with nice green grass, nice people around, and fairly large. Kinda cool how they have crossing for golf carts.

The website says open until 7:00 pm. I showed up at 6:11 pm with the pro shop locked. Who doesn’t want to hit balls shortly after 6:00 pm with daylight savings ?
Called the pro shop shortly after and was merely laughed at by the lady with the accent, explaining that they close at 6:00 pm
Overall disappointed with the customer service, marketing and customer service.

My son and I take golf lessons here weekly with Steve Adamiak — nice course, driving range, and club house.

I go practice golf here several times since last year. The people were so friendly and kind. The manager always greet us with a smile. I like the place it’s so green and well kept. My instructor Reid Yamane is very good he helps me a lot and I can tell my swing and putt is good big difference from before. He is so nice and professional. Andrew is fun and friendly as well. Definitely I will recommend this golf course to my friends

The 1 star is for the bar/​grill room service. Takes a lifetime to get served. Management really need to look at that area as it has the potential to make a lot of money. The course itself is really good.

The greens are very fast– be aware! Generally in ok shape. Personnel were very nice. A lot of up and downs. I tend to like flatter courses.

This place is in a nice location but the place is run horribly. So much potential here. We went out golfing and came back and the grill room was closed! The bartender girl was very rude and wouldn’t allow us to get anything on the turn. She was so rude that we literally were contemplating not even doing the back 9. Didn’t get her name had a white shirt black pants, dark hair mid 40’s I’d say. The grass was not kept very good on the course. The inside of the club house was out dated. The staff was extremely rude. Will never go back to this place unless I hear there are new employees and new management or ownership

Very fun layout, moderate up and down, greens are usually quick and true and in great shape, has a few water holes. Staff is friendly, good practice facility.

This is an amazing golf course and club. I recently had a horriable time at another course locally and was looking for a new home, and I found it. The customer service is amazing and when you call they will bring what ever you want out to you on the course. Very reasonable pricing, we were able to find a smoking deal on a website. I will be coming back…

I have been playing this course since 1999 when it was Temeku Hills G.C. and have seen it go through some ups and downs. I would honestly say that it is in the best shape ever right now. The staff and management have worked hard to get this course in to tip top condition. They are very friendly and both of my kids learned to play golf here. They are also great hosts for all the charity, junior, middle school, and high school tournaments that are held here regularly. Hint: if you have a tailwind on #8, grip it and rip it because it is reachable. :-)

Good place to come to and let off some steam during the day. The staff are friendly and quick to answer any of your questions the price is fair. Also don’t forget to wear to collared shirt because they won’t let you play with out one.

I have a friend that attends the Professional Golfers Career College (PGCC) in Temecula and loves the college almost as much as she loves the Legends! She has told me about this GC for some time so I finally got the chance to play it last weekend and it lived up to the hype! The course is in great condition and the greens are very true. It is hard to believe that this course is public and not private until you pay for your round… Inexpensive to say the least. The staff in the pro shop, restaurant, and outside services is 2^nd to none. Everyone was genuinely happy to see me and very welcoming. The Legends GC really takes customer service to the next level. I have played many high end courses that don’t treat you the way the staff at this course does. I had such a great experience that it made me want to enroll at the golf college!

Played this course for the first time yesterday. The greens fee and a small bucket of balls cost $ 55. The two guys I was playing with were seniors and each paid about $ 10 less. The guy at the pro shop was very professional and even offered us a free cup of coffee.
The range was pretty nice, as were the putting and chipping greens.
When our tee time came up, they had added a fourth to our threesome, but let him keep a separate cart, which was cool. The course was in nice shape and has a good layout, with a couple of fun over-​the-​water shots and some aggressive dog-​legs.
There wasn’t any cart-​service, which was a little disappointing, but the beer at the 19^th hole was ice cold and the cheeseburger was excellent.

We brought our golf group out to the Legends on June 23^rd 2013. We had a 40 person shotgun start at 10 am. Everything was ready for us, we started on time and the course was clear when we started. The lead group finished in about 4 hours 15 minutes which is amazing for a weekend! We all finished in about 4:30…again amazing. They even set up a BBQ grill with burgers at the turn for only $ 5.00!!! This was a really nice surprise. We were all impressed by the course staff. The course was in good shape with very good greens and the price we paid for a group shotgun a real bargain. They were ready for us in the club house for our 19^th hole with extra staff to serve us. Really well done!

This course has a GREAT, challenging layout. I can not say enough good things about the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome and important, even if you are only a hacker like me! =) The management is making HUGE efforts to improve the course and the facility and it REALLY shows.

Wasn’t too thrilled about this course. The reason I’m giving this course 2 stars is the course layout and the rough. The course design is strange. For example, hole #6, a Par 5 is such a sharp dogleg right from the tee box, it takes away your driver. I don’t like Par 5’s where they take away my driver from the tee box. Why is there a fairway bunker in the middle of the fairway for this hole? Also, when your tee shot was a little off the fairway, it would get lost in the rough. If they cut the rough a bit shorter, my friends and I wouldn’t have lost so many balls. Fairways and greens were in fair condition. With a better course redesign and better maintained rough, this course could be better.

Formerly Temeku Golf Course and was designed by Ted Robinson. The location is in the middle of wine country and perfect en route for trip to San Diego. The facility was re-​purchased in April and redesigned by Pete Dye. The course is 6636 yards long and has 5 lakes, deep sand traps and undulating greens.
You can see the the improvements taking place here on and off the course and the course is part of the PGCC (Professional Golfers Career College) so I imagine there will be further improvements.
I would recommend this golf course and it’s reasonably priced. I’ll definitely return here again.
