Food: Terrible. Don’t eat here. Go off the hotel property and eat somewhere better. Had two meals here: dinner and then breakfast. Wish I could have my time and money back. Ordered seared scallops with gnocchi for dinner. Terrible. Ordered a Caesar salad because was told they make the dressing at the restaurant. Terrible. Didnt’ finish either. For breakfast, ordered the maple pecan waffle. No pecans. No maple. Used pancake batter to make waffle. Terrible. Terrible. Terrible.

I don’t really go out to breakfast since it is pretty easy to make at home. You would think it would be pretty easy to actually make in a restaurant. We had a weekend away so we had to go out for breakfast. My wife and I got the 2 different benedicts. Country and the regular benedict. Big problem, the poached egg was so well done that there was no yolk. A typical bendict is soft boiled so we told the waitress. The waitress answered, «I guess this chef prefers to cook them hard boiled…» We are not ones to complain and this is the rant so we just asked to re-cook the eggs and we would keep them but lets think about this. She said I guess, what do you mean you guess? If he cooks them hard boiled which is different than any other place, than tell your customers when they order… Our benedict is served hard boiled, is that OK? The worst part was that the manager Ryan came to our table and asked us how everything was when he obviously was told by his waitress we had new eggs sent out. What a joke… At that point we didn’t want to even bring anything up so we didn’t say anything. And I almost forgot, they sent out us 2 new eggs…(We had 4 eggs) Recommendation… Drive 5 minutes away and go to the rainbow oaks restaurant. The service even while I’m writing this just doesn’t make sense. If you mess something up, then make amends. If not, you get this review.

Service is terrible. They over cooked the Eggs Benedict and when we complained, the waitress fought us! She was arguing with us that the cook prefers to cook the eggs hard boiled??? Regardless of the way it was cooked, the server could have simply asked if we wanted it done right, but we were shocked by this treatment. We won’t be back to this hotel or this restaurant. Awful food and service.

Tomato soup is awesome. Salad was pretty good. It had mustard seeds. Great view of golf course. Sit by them. Great place for breakfast. I was very surprised at the deliciousness coming from this hotel restaurant.

My husband and I had an amazing experience here a week or so ago. We were lucky enough to experience a 9 course chef tasting and they pulled out all the stops. First was a small apple salad. Next the squab roll. Third was the butternut squash cappuccino. Fourth was Seabass. Fifth was chicken with Parmesan foam. Sixth was the grilled flat iron steal. Seventh was beef cheek… Souns gross but is really really good! 8th was a mango sorbet and last was the deconstructed cheesecake. Each course was paired with delicious wines. So good! I can’t wait to come back. The next morning we ordered breakfast in our room. I got the harvest omelet, yum, and we shared the biscuits and gravy. Unfortunately most of it was cold by the time we got it, but I’m willing to overlook it since the dinner the night before was so amazing. Thank you temet grill!

I decided to celebrate my birthday there with my BF& my family, just a quick 45 minute jaunt from San Diego. Now, living in San Francisco for the past 8 years has seriously developed my pallet, so it takes quite a bit now to knock my socks off! Allow to say, my socks have been KNOCKED off! The Chef decided to give us an eight course chef’s tasting selection and it was nothing short of AMAZING! From the grilled squash right down to the final dessert. Plate after plate continued to pour out of the kitchen even after everyone at the table was practically pleading for the onslaught to cease. However, we were a gluten for punishment so we continued to let the plates come at us! So the next time you’re in Temecula wine tasting or wanna take a drive from San Diego for something different and AMAZING, head here, you will NOT be disappointed! Again, MANY thanks to the Chef and the staff for an AMAZING experience!!! It was truly the start of a GREAT birthday weekend! Stand outs for me: The grilled squash, the butternut squash soup, the beef cheek, the chocolate whatever desert & the chicken plate.

My BF heard that a new amazing chef was working here, and he wanted to give it a try. He booked a table for his 40th birthday. He arranged a chef’s tasting menu for a party of 12. All I can say is WOW… WOW…WOW! Every course was AMAZING! I consider myself a foodie and a bit tough to impress. To say I was impressed is an understatement. I was blown away, as were all of the party! If you are in San Diego, or wine tasting in Temecula, add dinner here to your plan! You wil be happy you did! I cannot wait to return.

We were staying at the Temecula Creek Inn so we thought we would try this out. It was good! Tad overpriced… but it is Temecula so that’s to be expected. :) My favorite thing was the Olive/Tomato tapanade they brought out with the bread… it was so GOOD! I also ordered a Caesar salad wedge, excellent. My girlfriend ordered scallops and mussels and she said they were really tasty as well. The service was excellent, staff was very attentive. Would come back here again… we also heard the brunch is what the place is famous for, wish we could have gone!

This is my FIRST bad review on Unilocal — which is sad, especially since I have been on Unilocal for YEARS and I am currently The Duke of Temet Grille on Unilocal… My friends were in town craving prime rib. Temet Grille has prime rib on their menu on Saturdays and Sundays but I called ahead at 4:30pm to double-check and the hostess said, «Yes! We have prime rib tonight!» so I made a reservation for dinner. When we came in at 7:00 and were seated, we were informed they did not have prime rib on the menu tonight. WTF!!! Seriously? So we ordered the special, which was pan seared halibut with potatoes 2 ways, the chicken paillard and the flat iron steak dinner. The halibut was WAY over cooked(couldn’t flake the fish with a fork and had to attack it with a knife!) and one of the«potatoes 2 ways» was inedible because it was charred black and tasted burnt. The chicken paillard was seasoned well but was also way over cooked and dry. The flat iron steak was cooked properly and tender but was unseasoned. All in all, THE worst dining experience I can remember in Temecula and the $ 120 spent on dinner was wasted — could have had a better experience and food at Domino’s pizza and saved $ 100 in the process… Ugh — I am so disappointed I could just scream! Instead, I am venting my disappointment and angst on Unilocal

We had the prime rib, salmon, artichoke risotto, and asparagus. Everything was delicious. Their lavash bread chips and sun dried tomatoes and olive dip was crunchy, salty, and savory. I love the fact they serve local wines. We had a bottle of ranzini cab, which paired perfectly with everything. Excellent service and the hostess went out of her way to get us a window seat that overlooks the beautiful gold course. We ended our meal with the chocolate lava cake. It was all perfect.

So we ended up checking out the restaurant while staying at the resort. We had a flights and bites voucher to use during our stay. We were there on a weekday, and there was hardly anybody there. We had the entire bar to ourself, sans I think one other table. the server clearly didn’t want to work that day and that sucks. The fligths and bites was cool because it had Renzoni wines(which we didn’t have a chance to get to during our trip) and three small tapas bites. The food was very good, but the service was not so much. My wife had asked about drink menus while I was in the room, and was only given a wine menu. I had to ask about beers to get more information from the server, again, she clearly didn’t want to be there. Overall it was a decent meal but when we got the bill upon checkout(we charged it to the room) there was a discrepancy in the amount. We weren’t going to argue with them over $ 10, but it’s the principal. I’d never go back with service like that. the chef was clearly talented, but the service staff, not so much.

My husband and I came here with a Flights and Bites voucher from our recent stay at the inn($ 25 value). We sat in the lounge where Sherry was the server. It was Wed night around 6:30−7 p.m. She promptly came by, greeted us, and grabbed the voucher before placing the order. When she brought the wine flight, I asked her for water and a dinner menu as she never asked if we wanted one. I thought it strange that she just assumed we would only be getting the flights and bites deal. Anyway, she brought the menu but never brought the water. We ended up ordering some fried calamari and the short ribs with polenta. They were out of the short ribs and polenta, so we ordered the parmesan shrimp to go with the calamari. After my husband stepped out(to clean up some red wine he spilled on himself), the food came out. I asked Sherry for some water again, and also asked her for a drink menu. Sherry said that all they had was a wine list. I was a little surprised but said okay for her to bring it out. When my husband came back, she checked back in with us and my husband asked what kind of beers they had. Trying to be helpful, I told him that they only had a wine list. Sherry replied that they had beer and also a full bar. Um, really??? I was a little pissed that she never volunteered this information when I initially asked her for a drink menu. I got the impression, throughout the meal, that she was only keen to do the bare minimum for us. Perhaps we didn’t look like the typical clientele they receive. I don’t know. The food was delicious. The flights were three Robert Renzoni wines and bites were a cold soup with shrimp, steak crostini over mashed potatoes, and a scallop ceviche(or as Sherry pronounced it «sirvichi»). The calamari and fried shrimp parmesan apps were great, too. We really enjoyed the food. The bill including tax, came out to $ 50 and change. Given the service, I gave the server $ 7 and some change which rounded the final total to $ 58. Sherry said the voucher($ 25) would automatically come off on my hotel bill. I only received one credit card slip to sign which should have been the first red flag. Since we charged it to the room, I didn’t see the total until check-out: $ 42.34. I am still trying to figure out how if the dinner bill including tip was $ 58 and if $ 25 was taken off after(the flights were $ 13 and bites were $ 12, or vice versa), why the bill wasn’t approx $ 33. Even if taxes were somehow factored in, there would not be an almost $ 10 discrepancy added to the end total. The front desk clerk assured me the deal was adjusted accordingly. Which makes me think that the tip was adjusted after and since I did not receive a second slip, I can’t prove anything. That morning at check-out, I wasn’t in the mood for arguing over $ 10 so I let it go at that time. Despite the food being really great, the service was terrible and possibly deceitful. Bad first impressions of this place.

This was my first, but not last, visit. The compound as a whole has a lot to offer. I get the impression that the restaurant part is being used to compensate for some other loss the business is suffering overall. There is a golf course on the site. This should be a warning right from the start. Usually, restaurants on golf courses are overpriced. This one is no exception, just not quite as bad. I had the smoked steak carpaccio. Very good. They didn’t over do anything on the plate, but again, it is very pricey for the small portion. Each slice of meat was about the size of a quarter and there were maybe 12 on the plate. The dish itself cost $ 12. Including the dressing, cheese, and veggies that came with it, it was a little under $ 1 per slice. The service was awesome. From the host/hostess to the entire wait staff. They were professional, courteous and unobtrusive as served. Total class act.

Well… it is such a beautiful place! Picture windows overlooking the golf course. Fancy up & up types walking around. Service was excellent, food was fine. So… whats the problem? PRICE!!! Yea I guess you‘re paying for atmosphere with exception for once a year maybe or some event very special, it‘s just too pricy for a simple pancake breakfast for 4 people. About $ 80 including tip. Maybe a rambling screaming kid running around would be worth paying 30 bucks less for your meal!

This is a review for their brunch only.. . I was actually VERY impressed with the quality of the food. There was a few misses(there always are at a buffet), but overall there was some serious attention to detail paid here. The best cheese plate I have seen at any buffet EVER. Make your own bloody mary bar with premium booze. FRESH seafood and shellfish. Shrimp were highest quality I’ve ever seen at a buffet. Excellent service — super friendly, brought me out as many different types of beverages as I wanted at once, super on point with the refills. Everything comes out in small batches, so it doesn’t have that«left out for too long» quality of many buffet dishes. My only complaints would be the variety is not tremendous(this is more of a boutique buffet). And the dessert is really lacking. Most buffets are«meh» food with amazing dessert. This is the opposite. Spectacular savory food with«meh» dessert. But I don’t have a huge sweet tooth, so I couldn’t really care about that. This buffet seems to value quality over quantity, which is a refreshing change. Everyone was friendly in the buffet area and dining room. They make you feel welcome and the food is delicious. It does cost a bit more than most brunches — but totally worth it. Highly recommended for you gorging fans out there who actually care what you put in your eathole.

Great views of the golf course while dining. We had breakfast there one morning. I had the poached egg with rock shrimp and hollandaise sauce. It was very good, very rich, but very good. My boyfriend had the healthy start smoothie to go with his meal, and it was definitely very healthy.

Ate here while staying at the Inn and it was just ok. The night we were there, we were the only ones in the restaurant for quite some time. While the service wasn’t poor, it wasn’t what you would expect for being the only ones there. Our drink order took quite awhile to arrive but that was the only flaw that we had with the service itself. The menu is California Cuisine and while it was a nice menu with several selections, it wasn’t what I was looking for on that given night. Don’t get me wrong, the food was decent but nothing that stood out. The interior décor is nothing special. Very open and very bright. We sat in a location that overlooked the waterfall on the outside which is very beautiful. Definitely not my favorite however if I stay at the Inn again, I’d come back even if it is for convenience only.

Delicious! Do not be put off by the thought of a veggie burger when you visit Temet. They hand make their patties with fresh ingredients and the patties are huge! The patty rivals that of a half pound hamburger. So good! The other food on the menu is just as delicious! Great place to dine!

I went there for Christmas dinner with my best friend from Japan. Their desert was amazing!!! Unfortunately, the view from the restaurant was too dark… I wanted them to light up the outside garden.
