Mike Reed Tile

Mike and his associate Delores just finished a stand up shower tile job for me. I can’t say enough about how easy he was to work with and what a beautiful job he did with our shower stall. I hired him over a general contractor because he was professional, returned calls, texts and emails promptly, always showed up on time (if not early), kept a clean workspace and accommodated our needs. He gave recommendations that really helped improve the overall appearance of the space, and best of all, he was very affordable.
The pictures above aren’t exaggerations — Mike is a tile artist. He takes pride in his work and I’m so glad I hired him. Plus, he’s a Laker fan! Finally, a win!

I just hired Mike to do a kitchen backsplash. His work was top notch, and working with him was really easy. I appreciate the fact that he actually came out to the job site to give me a quote, which, by the way, was exceedingly more reasonable than other contractors and tile salesman in the area. Turnaround was quick, as he showed up to do the job the very next day. His work was on time, efficient, and of top quality. I plan on hiring him again for future tiling needs. Mike did an amazing job replacing our old wood floors with wood grain porcelain tile. The plywood underneath the upstairs floor was pretty beat up, Mike took his time filling the gaps as he laid down cement board. As a result the floor ended up very solid. The cuts on the tile are all very precise and staggered perfectly. You can see the quality of work in all the small spaces and little cuts where the attention to detail is really impressive. It was a big job and it came out beautifully. And with the wood-​looking porcelain tile our dog can’t scratch it up the way he did our old floor. Thanks Mike! We will be needing your talents again soon.

I’ve had Mike install tile in my homes for over 15 years. Recently, I needed a tile repair because tile had to be removed in order to install my new dishwasher. The old dishwasher had leaked and soaked the sub flooring.
Mike came to my home to evaluate the problem and then set an appt to do the work. Mike came on time and completed the job so that you’d never know that the tile had been removed and replaced.
In addition to the repair work, I had Mike install new glass mosaic tile in the stove alcove in my kitchen. The precision he exercised is outstanding, and the finished product is gorgeous.
The think I like most about Mike is that he’s easy to talk to and really knows best how to do the job right. He’s always on time and doesn’t leave any mess after working.

I just had Mike tile my bathroom and he did an amazing job! He said he’d be here at 7:00 both days and he showed up exactly when he said he would. That never happens! He and the guy he worked with were extremely professional. The job happened on time and got done exactly when he said it would be done and with the highest quality I could have asked for.

I’m so glad I found Mike through Unilocal!He does a great tile work, fast, prompt, very helpful, and reasonably priced!
We had to replace bathtub faucet, and therefore we needed a tile guy who could cut the tiles to access the space below the faucet, and then cover it back up after the plumber does the faucet replacement.
First, he did a beautiful job cutting out the tiles. He removed 6 tiles (2 by 3) from the wall on the steps leading to the tub, and surrounding tiles weren’t damaged at all.
Secondly, he was very helpful finding the matching tiles. We didn’t have any spare tiles to use, and the existing tiles were discontinued. I told him I couldn’t go to the warehouse to find the closest matching tile myself, and he agreed to go to the warehouse for a very minor service fee. This was a big help, because other tile guys wouldn’t even consider to do so.
Last but not least, he sealed up the hole so neatly, you won’t be able to tell that the tiles were replaced there.
I’m definitely calling him back if we ever need another tile work.

We uses mikes company to redo our back bathroom and I must say it turned out better then myself or my husband would have ever pictures it! I am so thankful he took the idea we wanted and turned it in to a beautiful reality I have no doubt we will use mike in the future !!

I have used Mike three times now and each time I have been very very very pleased with everything.
First used Mike to put up 3 shelves in my shower. He was able to match the tile as well as the grout perfectly. He was extremely quick and easy to work with.
I called him the second time because I was thinking about redoing all the tile in my Kitchen, his price was great and I already sort of knew the quality of his work even though he just did a small job for me before.
I had him do my entire kitchen which also meant removal of my old tile. He was very meticulous with the removal of the old tile. I wasn’t able to make up my mind how I wanted the backsplash behind my oven, he told me to trust him and I would be happy. Well, all I can say is I was beyond happy; the tile flowed perfectly with the house and its colors.
I had Mike do both my upstairs and downstairs bathroom, once again he did a perfect job. He came up with a really cool accent design as well.
Mike did really well with us not having a real eye for design or a clue of what we wanted, he was extremely patient with us as well.
His work is excellent.
He also got along right away with both of my dogs, and although that really has nothing to do with his work they don’t get allow with visitors and we usually have to keep them in their cages. So them being ok with him, and being ok with him alone in the house says a lot to me.

I hired Mike to retile my kids’ bathroom a few years ago. He and his helper did a gorgeous job, above and beyond what I thought I could afford. He helped me pick out colors and did the job quickly, thoroughly and cleanly.
I first saw Mike’s work at a friend’s house in West Hollywood — he’d taken bits of broken pottery and trinkets from the artist who owned the house and created a mosaic for her kitchen counters. It was AMAZING! Mike has real talent.

Mike is a talented and diligent tile man. He loves his work and shows up on time. These are the traits you want in a craftsman. His layouts are perfect and all his helpers are curtious and clean. You can’t go wrong with Mike.

When we moved into our new condo, my husband did all the painting, but we wanted to do some tile work too to make it more personal. We picked out some tile at the local tile store, and the guy there referred us to Mike.
He did our bathroom and kitchen floors and then we had him do the fireplace. We had picked out the three types of tile we wanted, but weren’t entirely sure how they should all go together. Mike recommended a layout that was just perfect. We also had him put in a mosaic back splash in the kitchen. That was the most detailed work, and everything was done to perfection.
Mike is very courteous and friendly and always showed up on time. He does meticulous work and left everything very clean. We highly recommend him!

Mike has worked at our house a number of times and I am always impressed. His work is beautiful and every single person he has brought with him on the job is professional and courteous.
