Spa Sudeva

This is probably the closest Tampa has to a «destination spa». It doesn’t look like much when you walk in and check in, which might be an area they could spruce up to be 6 stars :)
Once you are taken back to the locker room, you slide in your robe and slippers and get to enjoy the nice relaxation lounge. Put your feet up and enjoy a nice hot tea as you wait for your therapist. I would recommend getting there 20 minutes early so you have a chance to wind down and enjoy the serenity before your scheduled services.
I’ve done facials, massages and their infrared sauna. My favorite is their massage with foot reflexology and a hot oil scalp treatment. This is the perfect pampering and you truly feel like you are on a spa journey.

I would highly recommend going to get a facial by Edyta. The facial itself was relaxing, gentle, and my skin felt a million times better after seeing her. She was so knowledgeable and helpful, and gave me great advice to improve my skin, and overall health. ¹⁰⁄₁₀.

Absolutely love this spa!!! Edyta is wonderful… best facial ever! Very friendly staff and such a relaxing environment. Ola is so pleasant and helpful… I enjoy just talking with before and after my treatments. Jessica gives a fantastic massage and truly understands the body. I highly recommend this spa!

I have been here twice and gotten my massages with Sophie. She is wonderful! Very strong hands to release my fascia and tension every time! I’m going again this Tuesday to try out Jessica for an upper body massage (I have spinal issues in my cervical and lumbar spine that I like to focus on).
I’m looking forward to releasing some stress and getting back to balance!
I highly recommend this spa. The atmosphere is absolutely peaceful and serene. The owner is kind and their prices are definitely reasonable, especially for South Tampa! They also offer candles, healing stones, balancing sage, jewelry and other goodies to make your visit special. They offer refreshing lemon water to replenish your fluids and teas to relax your mind. Plush robes, slippers make you feel as though toy are being completely taken care of. They also have lockers to keep your belongings in so they are safe. If you haven’t been here, you are missing out!

I was given a generous gift certificate by a friend and what a gift! Karoline gave one of the best facials I have ever had. And I have enjoyed a few! ;-) She was deliberate and intentional, focused and quiet. Her touch was perfect and she hit every stress point. Her extractions were PERFECT and I barely felt them. Truly the best ever.
The ambiance is lovely, quiet, relaxing and soothing. Smells divine. This is a place that takes the work of relaxing and pampering seriously. Which is the way I like it.
I am going back for certain.

One of the best spa experiences I’ve ever had! I’ve been twice now for the 60 minute relaxation massage. Both times have been with Amber, and both times have been perfect. Amber is fantastic — it’s evident she knows the anatomy of the body and works her magic to relieve tension and create an overall phenomenal experience. When you walk in to the spa itself, you realize you’re leaving the world behind and entering a peaceful sanctuary. The smells and sounds are calming and relaxing. You’re given a plush robe and invited to relax in the tea lounge prior to your selected service. Afterwards, you’re given the option to return to the tea lounge or enjoy time in the sauna. I never opt to do that — but I’m sure it would be great if saunas are your jam. Highly recommend!!!

I have been getting massages for years. Living in South Tampa, you would think there would be plenty of awesome places to choose from. WRONG. I have been to 3 – 4 different places that were completely underwhelming. My biggest pet peeve is when a therapist just rubs you all over with no technique whatsoever. I want someone who will actually work my muscles and make me better— example; reach under the clavicle and stretch the muscle really well. I finally found what I was looking for at Spa Sudeva.
When you walk in the door, the world behind is gone. It smells beautiful in here, like eucalyptus, mint, and lavender, and it is dark and blessedly quiet. So many spas almost seem like they stress you out when you go in, and they are bustling and noisy. Not here. It is very zen-​like. I was also happy to get a robe to relax in prior to the treatment. They offer tea and water, the staff could not do enough for me.
Finally the treatment itself– I get the back to balance masage. My therapist was amazingly skilled – she had a lot of knowledge about the muscles and the body and worked hard the entire session to relieve my tension and problem areas. The lotions and oils smelled delicious, she used hot towels, she repeatedly asked about my state of comfort. I was more relaxed afterwards than I have been in months. This place is superb— don’t go anywhere else.

Discovered this place n it is my sanctuary… I come here 2 DESTRESS…3 to 4 hr services @ a time… I HIGHLY RECOMMEND… wish parking was more user friendly though!

Amber was my massage therapist, and was so friendly and accommodating. I’ve never had a deep tissue massage before and was a little hesitant, however she highly suggested for my tight back. She put me at ease that it will not be painful and that she can always adjust the pressure if needed. The massage was great, I practically fell asleep! The sauna room after was also I nice finishing touch. Overall I feel great after my massage!

I’ve been here 3 times the first time was amazing but then of course it was my first time at a stand alone spa and not at a hotel. Downside they have the worst customer service possible when it comes to confirming and booking reservations. I prefer to call. So when I call goes to voicemail and when they call me it just becomes a tangled mess. It’s supposed to be relaxing beginning to end. :/
I still think the spa and services are great just needs to improve on customer service.

I walked in and asked for a same day appt. Got one! I’ve been to spas all over the US and world. This is one of the best. The atmosphere enhances the massage. It smells great, feels great, has inspirational items everywhere, has a UV sauna and shower for your use after treatments… teas, snacks, …it’s all relaxing and top notch. VERY clean spa and excellent service. Christine is a goddess. I’m only here for another week and I’m going back! LOVED IT!!!

Still the best spa in Tampa! Professional staff and relaxing atmosphere. They make it feel like a true get away with the décor. I have nothing but the best to say about this spa, and keep coming back!

This is the best Spa in the Tampa Bay Area. Edyta and her staff are affable and patient with each and every client while sharing their extensive knowledge of natural healing beauty treatments. I experienced a significant health setback last year and my spirits were low. I began visiting Spa Sundeva on a regular basis (as my budget allowed). I’ve tried every service and they’re all fantastic! This spa has served as my personal oasis and I would highly recommend it to anyone who’s looking to treat themselves (or a loved one) to spa services in a quiet, relaxing, SUPPORTIVE and KIND environment. No body image snobs here — come as you are and feel free and comfortable ladies — SERIOUSLY — don’t worry about not having the perfect body or freshly shaven arms and legs, etc.- the WOMEN (not teeny boppers) at Spa Sundeva understand what it’s like to be mothers, employees, wives, caregivers and so on. No one wants another chore before they relax! This spa is simply suberb and my skin has never looked better! Go for it ladies!

I called in for a same day appt. The receptionist was helpful in helping me pick the right massage. I decided on the fusio.
When I got there I changed into the fuzziest robe and was brought to the mossy ZeN room. They had tea and water and even those Chinese cracker things. I especially liked the Zen board.
Christina came and introduced herself. To be honest, I get plenty of massages, so when I saw this little girl I was worried she wouldn’t be able to do it hard enough. (I’m a hair stylist so my shoulders and back are a mess). Christina proved me wrong. Not once did I have to ask for it to be harder or softer. I was so relaxed!
After the 90 min massage I got into the complimentary sauna which was the cherry on top!

I really enjoyed my time at Spa Sudeva. I’ve visited many spas in the Tampa area over the years, and I felt that this one was the most attentive to my needs. I spent an afternoon at Spa Sudeva, and had a facial and massage. I really appreciate the spa’s focus on holistic well-​being, and the little positive affirmations located on walls and cards throughout the spa were exactly what I needed after a stressful week. The zen room was very peaceful, and has a few items to encourage mental relaxation (I liked the Buddha board). My massage therapist was not afraid to incorporate her own, unique techniques, and I enjoyed that.
Overall, Spa Sudeva is a wonderful spa with attentive therapists, and is reasonably priced for the services offered. The ambiance and therapeutic aromas are what set Spa Sudeva apart from other spas, and I felt more comfortable here than I had at other spas I’ve visited. I will definitely be booking again with Spa Sudeva.

Spa Sudeva (formerly Spa Sundara) is a fantastic spa located on MacDill Ave. On the outside, Spa Sudeva does not stand out among its neighboring businesses. However, once you step inside, it is like you have stepped into another world. The entry lounge is small but sufficient enough for its purpose– to house spa goodies and a check in area. You don’t stay at the entry lounge long enough for it to require any more space than what it has.
When I walked in, I was immediately taken aback with the change in atmosphere inside the spa doors. Asian-​influenced music playing softly and dimmed lighting– it was all so soothing. The front desk assistant was calm and peaceful, speaking in a hushed tone, not hurried at all, bare-​footed and completely natural. I knew this was going to be a good experience from the get-​go. Once I gave my name, the front desk assistant walked me back to the spa area. I was transported yet again to another hidden lounge of dimmed lights, soothing music, perfect temperature and scent. She showed me where to place my belongings– in a private locker that had a plush robe for me to wear in the sitting lounge– and a bathroom and shower area should I wish to use them. The sitting lounge itself was so lovely. Comfortable seating, light reading, dimmed lights and candles lit, Eucalyptus scented, draped tapestries decorating the ceiling, healthy treats to eat and delicious tea to sip on. I was in love with the sitting lounge and felt completely relaxed before my session.
Christa was with me for my massage session. She was very nice and seemed kind and positive-​minded. This allowed me to feel comfortable with her from the start, which is always a good sign when you are about to receive a full body massage. We briefly discussed my problem areas before the session began and it went fantastic! Though we were the same body size, Christa really knew how to work my problematic shoulder blades, getting deep into areas of knotted tissue. I also really appreciated the calf and foot massage. Who knew how much pressure these areas received? Thinking about it reminds me that I should make another appointment in the near future…
Check out was a breeze. I received a discount card for Christa, where I receive a free massage session after I complete a few more sessions with her. Awesome! I was sad to go home but I went home and loafed around, in pure bliss and relaxation. Overall, it was a wonderful, relaxing experience and I encourage everyone to make a visit at least once. You will fall in love!

Spa Sundara has amazing customer service. After a hectic day at work, I accidentally arrived 30 minutes late for my actual appointment, but 30 minutes early for the time I had made up! They had even called to tell me the time the day before! I felt horrible, and was completely willing to pay the cancellation fee. They allowed me to reschedule my appointment at no cost even though it was completely my fault. I can’t wait for my rescheduled appointment.

I showed up on a Friday afternoon to see if they could squeeze in appointments for the same day (hers & his) and they absolutely made it work without fuss.
Inside of those magical doors that provide entry to Spa Sundara reveals the most amazing ambiance and scents, gorgeous décor, plush, almost sinfully relaxing environment. Perfect!
The massage was fantastic. Every aspect was great… pressure, smells, etc. His massage was great– he had lower back pain and had none upon departure and felt great for the entire weekend following. A job well done, doubly.
At the end of the services, the tea room was nice to sit in and quite a treat in my warm, fuzzy robe with wonderful hot tea… I would have been happy to spend the remainder of the evening there.

Spa Sundara Surprise!
I actually visited the Spa to surprise my girlfriend with a massage there and the service and information I received to properly do it was amazing! Once you step inside, the aurora hits you and the peace that will come is amazing! I will definitely be back for surprises, and, who knows, maybe even for myself!
