Paris Salon & Day Spa

Relaxing environment, not loud and crazy like you’d think from a large salon. Beautifully decorated inside with open floor plan and huge dazzling chandeliers. The owner is usually there to make sure you feel at home every visit. They serve fresh coffee and cold water and even cookies or snacks sometimes. Not just a relaxing place to get hair done but also nail and skin services as well as retail products. A definite must visit!

We booked appointments for 4 people for various services.
We all got la petit manis $ pedis. ($ 30 each many; $ 30 each pedi). 24 hours after my mani, three of my nails are already peeling and/​or cracking. On two of my toe nails you can still see the dark nail polish I was wearing prior to the pedi.
Not even a bit of lotion was applied to my hands, feet, legs.
My friend share the same complain about their Mani/​pedi.
One of us what getting a makeover, although she didn’t color her hair, she asked for a hair cut with noticeable layers. She got a hair cut with two layers and after her hair was blow dry she got curls (which she didn’t ask for and couldn’t wait to leave the place to brush her hair to get rid of because she looked like Henry VII’s wife.
The other person that was having her hair done, although the appointment was scheduled for a hair cut, when we arrived she was told they could color her hair, HOURS later, when she was called to have her hair done, she was informed that it was too late and there was not enough time to color her hair. Her hair was trimmed and again CURLED, thankfully the curls were gone in 20 minutes.
All 4 of us where scheduled for massages. Four hours later 2 of us were still pending for our massages. I ended up not getting mine because we arrived at the salon at 11:20am, and it was getting close to dinner time and we just couldn’t wait any longer.
Our appointment was scheduled for 11am, we drove 2 hours to the salon, although we arrived 20 minutes late, I called when I realized we were not going to make it on time. Upon our arrival we apologized for the delay and were told that it was not going to cause any problems and or delays with our appointments, that obviously was not true and furthermore, when we were checking out, the same person who told us when we arrived that our delay will not affect our services, told us that we couldn’t get all we wanted because we were late.
The person doing the nails was the same doing the hair, so at some point some of us where just sitting there doing nothing.
Our appointments were booked in advance, nonetheless I never got my massage because there were appointments booked for few hours after we were there, nonetheless they were call before me.
I’m giving them two stars because the place is nicely decorated and we were allowed to drink our wine.
I will not recommend this place.

I used to go here for eyebrow threading and that was great, if a little pricey. I stopped going because they constantly push products that they sell. This is common, but most places make the pitch and then let it go– here it was a constant push from entry to exit. It was so annoying I finally just looked for another place for eyebrow threading– although it involves me driving at least 10 miles farther since Paris Salon is literally 5 minutes from my house.

This was my second visit to the spa, my first was for a massage and it was great. On this visit I was coming for my birthday manicure. I just received a basic manicure but it did not seem the nail tech was very skilled. He was very polite and friendly but he seemed apprehensive. The manicure was good but as usual it did not last long. Even though he sprayed the accelerant to dry my nails and tested them before I left, I still smudged them when getting onto the car. It wasn’t a bad experience I just was not impressed enough to make this my go to nail salon.

This place is amazing. I called for a last minute massage and they were able to accommodate me right away. The massage was amazing! The room was clean and relaxing and the therapist was incredible; I wanted to have more services in their amazing spa area. After my massage, I really needed a blow out as I had asked the massage therapist to really focus on my head and neck. When I came out I asked if I could get a blow out and the girl who was checking me out said she was about to leave but would take care of me before leaving. She was so sweet and accommodating and she did an amazing job. While sitting in her chair I was offered a mimosa and a magazine; so wonderful. The owner also came by to make sure my visit was pleasurable and asked if all of my needs were met. They were met and my expectations were blown away. This place has so many spa services… hair, nails, facials, massages, makeup, etc. It really is a one stop shop and the staff and owner make the environment an extremely pleasurable place to get pampered. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Had my eyebrows threaded here and my eyebrows have now been ruined for weeks. I’m waiting for them to fully grow out before getting them fixed. This was a very nice salon and I wanted to love it…

Great place. I’m new to tampa so I did some research and found this spot. My hair came out great and I didn’t have to pay a ton of money like most places. I’ll be back

I wound up at this salon after being treated like dirt over the phone (two unreturned calls, and then a scathing «consult» from someone who said «We NEVER touch box-​colored hair» in a manner insinuating I may as well have booger-​coated locks) from another salon (Michaelsomething) also on Bay to Bay. I’m guessing the red velvet cake that they famously serve is flavored with spite and angel tears. That’s okay. Keep your cake. I took my $ 200 elsewhere, thankuverymuch!
Anyhow, at Paris S&DS Ash (the owner) and Liana (my stylist) are FANTASTIC!!! So is everyone else there, from my limited interaction with them. The salon is gorgeous… sort of eclectic country/​Parisian chic… and my peek into the spa/​massage rooms revealed an oasis of calm. Unfortunately for me, I was only down in Tampa temporarily. I’d be a happy girl if I could pick up the entire salon and move them to Alexandria, VA – but they might not appreciate that too much! If I had deeper pockets I’d just fly down for the weekend each time I needed new highlights. That’s how much I love the place and the people.
One more thing — Liana is exceptionally skilled at her craft. I pretty much explained the direction I wanted to go in with my hair and her capable hands took care of the rest. You KNOW you got a great «do» when other people stop you afterwards and ask «Who does your hair?!?» I had that happen post-​Liana — twice!

I like their online appointment system a lot and the customer service is great. Brad was my hair specialist and he is very professional. Even if its a little more expensive than other salon, you get what you pay:)

After the recommendation of a friend, I decided to visit Paris Salon. The interior is beautifully decorated and has a nice, relaxing feel. My stylist was Liana, she was absolutely amazing! Very helpful with recommendations when you’re indecisive or have no idea what you want. My color came out beautiful!
Cons: Parking was a little crowded and cramped but what do you expect in South Tampa (I’ve experienced worse).

I just moved to the Tampa area a month ago from Washington, DC and needed to find someone who could thread my eyebrows. (Of course, I also needed a hair stylist down here!). Luckily, Paris Salon & Day Spa has all that and a LOT more. When I first came here a few weeks ago, there was a girl named Neglaa who did everyone’s eyebrows. I JUST found out that she left Paris Salon & Day Spa after 6 years — which originally scared me because when I found out, I started to panic thinking «oh no, I found this great girl to thread my eyebrows and now she left!» HOWEVER, the young woman who has taken over for Neglaa is a Russian girl named Elaina. She did my eyebrows today and I have to say — she’s even BETTER than Neglaa! My eyebrows look absolutely amazing! The arch is beautiful and Elaina is so sweet! And hey. you can’t beat the price… less than 20 bucks! Trust me ladies… I’m an eyebrow threading snob from Washington and I promise you… Elaina is the real thing!!!
I also got my hair done here for the first time and it was a great experience! Mary is young (only 19!) but boy-​is she good! I love the cut and style she gave. She’s also the sweetest girl so time flies while you’re sitting in the chair. Would highly recommend her!!!
Also ** Parking is never a problem. I read another review where someone said there was no parking, but I’ve already been to Paris Salon & Day Spa 4 times and I never had a problem finding parking! There is a big lot in front of the salon and it has ample spaces.
The entire staff is super nice-​everyone smiles and says hello to you. You can really tell they’re like one big family there. And I love the way the interior is designed. It’s a beautiful salon.

Would love to recommend the pedicure because it was an enjoyable experience, but had no staying power. A week later looked like a month later. Lots of chips in the polish (looks like they didn’t use a top coat) and a bunch of hangnails (which is not usually a problem I have on my toes so not sure what happened).

One of the best salon & spa in South Tampa! The staff is very warm and welcoming. You are offered a beverage as soon as you walk in the door. This establishment has been my first choice to go to for almost 2 years now for all my salon and spa needs. I recommend Paris Salon and Day Spa to everyone!

Naglaa is the best at eyebrow threading! She really listens to what you want and makes it happen. I enjoy keeping my eyebrows full with a nice arch and she delivers. Too many times have I been somewhere where they pluck my eyebrows into nothing. I know some women like that but not me. And Naglaa understands that. The threading is quick and she is so detailed.
The salon is so cute — and the staff is very warm. You are offered a beverage as soon as you walk in and every person that works there is welcoming.

I was desperately looking on Unilocal for someone to fix my disastrous eyebrows (dont at another salon in the tampa bay area) that I had been covering with a hat for the past two months. I just left Paris Salon and I must say, probably one of the best experiences I have ever had at a salon. The décor is gorgeous, the people are amazingly nice, I was offered a delicious cup of coffee while I waited, and that is even the best part. Nagla (sp?) was a God-​send for eyebrow threading. Fixed my eyebrows to the point where I could leave the salon with NO HAT ON; and let me tell you, they were a disaster. Absolutely amazing. These girls definitely know what they are doing and I give them a 5 million thumbs up. Happy as a clam, and now I don’t have to put on makeup just to feel comfortable. :)

This is a very cute place with lots of fun stuff. I love little boutiques where I can buy beauty products, etc that you can’t really find elsewhere. I do agree with the other reviewer when they said that there is a lot of competition in South Tampa… and people will usually go the cheaper route. It was pretty pricey BUT Lisa was lovely and did a great job. She even admitted that she was a little OCD, so believe me, my feet and hands look great… plus the massage was hands down the best I have EVER had during the pedicure. I just think it was a little on the high side. I am planning on coming back to have a facial or two and even a massage. It’s a cute place, you should check it out and judge for yourself.

Best Brow Artists in South Tampa!
I’ve spent most of my life in LA and many, many trips in SF and NYC. Paris Salon & Day Spa has two ladies on board that rival and often exceed my best eyebrow-​shaping experiences elsewhere.
For brow waxing, Lisa is amazing. She’s meticulous, shows a lot of pride in her work, advises on shape, is conservative in her shaping style (trust me, this is a good thing!) and has a pain-​free touch. She’s an esthetician, so she approaches the process in a holistic way and treats sensitive skin as such. I also found that she’s flexible with her waxes, so if for whatever reason your skin doesn’t respond well to her wax, she’ll recommend and use an alternate. Back to more Lisa in a moment.
For brow threading, see Naglaa. Fast and friendly with OMG results, she is the only threader I’ll ever see again in Tampa. I confess to going to Brow Art in the malls, but their inconsistency drove me to drink. I switched back to waxing in a desperate attempt to escape my hairy hell, but when I began getting more intense facial treatments, I decided to give threading another try at Paris. Somehow, Naglaa made my brows look fuller and, oddly enough, *healthier*! Naglaa also made me less afraid of the dreaded upper-​lip threading. Her speed is a savior.
For eyebrow shaping and maintenance, Lisa and Naglaa are the only two I can personally vouch for at Paris. It takes an art, and they’ve got the talent.
For facials and skincare, Lisa is amazing! She’s the only esthetician I’ve visited at Paris, but the last of MANY I’ve visited in Tampa and in Cali. Lisa is calm, knowledgable, and never accusatory or condescending (if you’ve had guilt-​trip facials in the past, you’ll know exactly why this is so important). She’s thoughtful in her approach, and you don’t feel like just a ticket. She takes the time to understand your skin and follows through on a total solution. I have mild adult acne, combination skin and an issue with scarring. Her peels are terrific and my face has shown incredible improvement.
Two small wish-​list items for Paris:
1. Offer more lines of skincare. I like the one they carry, GM Collin, but it’s spendy, and from online reviews, I’m not certain it will be the best investment for MY skin. It’s hard to believe in the one-​size-​fits-​all methodology with skincare, and I prefer that my esthetician have options to recommend.
2. I really wish Paris offered microdermabrasion and hope they consider adding it to their service list soon. I don’t really want to invest time with any other esthetician but may have to for this service.
All in all, LOVE THIS SALON. Happy to recommend you to friends, and thanks for taking such great care of me!

I got a pedicure and my husband got a massage. His hamstring was in pain and he feels much better after the massage though he claims it got a bit painful.
My pedicure was ok. $ 40 for an ok pedicure is not so cool. My girl was awesome she talked to me the whole time. She was cute, funny and had a j’né se qua. But my pedicure was mediocre. Her leg massage was lame. Probably won’t come back – Newsflash there is a ton of competition for spas in the Tampa are, so you better step it up.
Would have given it 4 stars if it wasn’t for the lack of parking.

Paris is great. They have a huge shop with ample parking, everyone is super friendly from the owner to the hairdressers. i’d highly recommend this place.

Naglaa is friendly and efficient at brow threading. She’s attentive to your needs and very thoughtful. I found out about her here on Unilocal,but she was vetted by my hairstylist Devon over at Beaux Visages so I made three appointments for myself, my sister, and my mom. It was the first time threading for my sis and mom, and they were very pleased with the results. We really like the décor. I’d love to come back to try a facial and a pedi.
