Paper Crane Confections makes homemade whoopie pies in Tampa, Florida.

Beside «the Classic» chocolate and marshmallow whoopie pie, we feature other flavor combinations such as key lime and coconut, vanilla and dulce de leche, and pumpkin and maple.

History

Established in 2013.

I discovered whoopie pies in 2011. As a native Floridian, I’d never heard of this New England treat but quickly fell in love with these little cakes that are like a cross between a cupcake and an Oreo. Pretty soon I was baking them all the time, and I had to find more people to share them with beyond my friends and neighbors.

Paper Crane Confections is currently working under Florida’s Cottage Food Law, which means when we say «homemade,» we mean it! The whoopie pies are all made in my home kitchen in small batches for freshness and quality.

I’ve lived in Tampa since 2004 and am a USF graduate. I taught high school English for several years before leaving to stay home with my daughter. I’m happily married, and when I’m not baking I enjoy scrapbooking, reading, and exploring local parks.

Paper Crane Confections’ Whoopie Pies are tasty. They are always fresh and delicious. The current flavors offered are always different and rotate at each Market that they are sold at.
Some of my favorites are the Peppermint Chocolate, the Buenos Aires, and the Peanut Butter Chocolate. They are all rich with flavor. Plus, three Whoopie pies for $ 5 is hard to beat for some delicious goodness.
Mia, the owner of Paper Crane Confections is a sweetheart and a delight to deal with. You can be assured that all these Whoopie pies are made with 100% love and care.

Yay for whoopie pies at the Fresh Market. They were in Hyde Park this past Sunday Dulce De Leche, Key Lime Pie, and Dark Chocolate were the options. They were delicious and perfectly sweet.
The owner is as sweet as the whoopie pies. She explained that a whoopie pie is a cross between a cupcake and a cookie. They are nice and portable for a quick sweet tooth snack. Give them a try, and you will love how soft and creamy they are. It’s so worth it when you know they are made fresh, and with passion.

I found this cool new dessert stand at the Downtown Tampa Sunday Market. I am a skeptic by nature and this biz concept seemed a bit gimmicky to me. But the whoopie pies kick it. I’m a believer.
The chocolate was sumptuous. The key lime was subtle. And the pumpkin spice was robust. Lovely fresh home-​made taste. 3 for $ 5 is pretty reasonable ($ 1.75 each).
