Moved here a couple months ago from the Northeast, and we’ve been missing real Italian food. So glad we found this place! The young man who waited on us was very polite, attentive, and Italian! The salad was good(mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, Kalamata olives), the pasta cooked perfectly, and the meat sauce was exceptional with pieces of meatball tossed in. Hubby loved the nicely browned Meat Lovers Calzone, full of meat and lightly seasoned ricotta. Great meal, and we will definitely be regulars. Prices are very reasonable, too.

I like this little spot. It’s simple, easy, and tasty. No frills, no pretentiousness, no outrageous menu or prices. And, if you happen to have the owner’s nephew serve you, he is a delight. Ask him where he’s from and how he got to Tally. We’ve enjoyed talking to him the last two times we’ve been here. House dressing is good, kids love the bread, and the pizza is tasty. This time I ordered the chicken Florentine, and I don’t recommend it. The sauce feels too manufactured. Hubby liked the spaghetti marinara(slightly sweet taste) and daughter loved her aloha pizza! It’s not our favorite Italian joint in Tally, but is definitely good enough.

Had a gyro platter yesterday and was sick for several hours after ! Not to mention it was not even a gyro, it was basically an old beat up burger in a pita bread. On the other side, the salad, fries and tiramisu were good . Couple months ago I had a chicken pasta dish that I returned and had re– made cause the chicken was old and reheated, so when I complained they made me new chicken . I guess it’s below average and I don’t think I’ll be back after 2 unsatisfactory attempts.

Delicious! The food and service were great. Pizza crust was perfect and the sauce was wonderful. Had a gyro and greek salad. We will be back!

Family had gnocchi, pasta shells and pizza on wheat crust. All were wonderful! I was hungry and it hit the spot. Service was awesome as well. Definitely would come back.

Didn’t give it five stars because I usually don’t on a one-visit basis. However, I’ve had great pizza pies in NYC as well as in NOLA; their product is on par or superior when compared to excellent purveyors in the aforementioned cities. The Margherita was as close to traditional as you can get and the antipasto salad was crisp and delicious. I can now say that Tallahassee has a great Pizza and Pasta restaurant. Oh, and the service was excellent.

We decided to try this place again after not having been there lately. I had a pizza and wife had a sampler and salad. Pizza was gummy and dry and meat(ham) was very tough. On top of everything the food is very overpriced for the quality. We will not be going back.

Pizza is not good, not bad. Ambiance is nothing special. But our server was sharp and considerate. She remembered everything about our friends who we were dining with and they’d last eaten there 6 months ago. She was attentive and made helpful suggestions. It was very kid friendly, even for our wild crew.

These folks made the greasiest pizza I’ve ever encountered. The oil was pooling on the surface. nasty.

This is a good casual date night spot. It is in Killearn however, so families and rambunctious children are hard to avoid. My last time at Village Inn we spent most of our meal trying to ignore the hide-and-seek playing 5 year old making funny faces at us. It kinda ruined the romance but it was entertaining. The pizzas, calzones and baked dishes are the best options in my opinion. Classic italian food and wine, what more could you ask for!

Went to eat there for lunch today. Wasn’t very crowded and they seated us promptly. First thing we noticed was the table was sticky. The rolls were barely done white and not brown at all and drenched in oil. The salad was not very good according to one of my party. One of my party ordered the philly cheese steak and it had no flavor very bland. I ordered the meat lovers pizza it tasted ok but was a little oily and somewhat bland nothing spectacular. The other member of our party had the chicken parmesan and said it was pretty good. Though service was much to be desired. One of the party ran out of tea and no one checked on us and he tried to get staff’s attention and it took a while. All in All not the worst experience but could definitely be improved.

One of the best pizzas in Tallahassee. Somehow I don’t come here as often as I would like(but I’m not sure why). The pizza is awesome and the service has always been pretty good. I like to keep it simple with a pepperoni pizza — very good.

Great service, and good food at a fair price. Better Italian than elsewhere in town for the most part. We will definitely be back. Was very quiet on a Saturday evening at 5:45 pm. Nice to find a place that isn’t wall to wall wait, like Olive Garden. I still don’t know why people wait at Olive Garden, as that place is a ripoff with frozen food. Not here.

We have eaten at Village on a number of occasions over the last year or so and have generally had a good meal. The Boy likes the garlic rolls and pasta. I usually will have a calzone or a small salad and an appetizer. This particular trip, I just wanted some soup and a small salad. So I ordered a side garden salad and the Pasta e Fagioli soup. The guy had a pasta dish, which he usually loves. The salad was pretty good, with the usual assortment of nice greens, a couple of kalamata olives and other crisp veggies. However, when the soup came out, it bore absolutely no resemblance to any Pasta e Fagioli soup I have ever had. I could find no tomatoes, there was no meat, there were maybe a half dozen white beans and a lot of very bloated bowtie pasta swimming in what looked like Campbell’s tomato soup. I tasted it and it had virtually no flavor and no seasoning. We had no time to wait for another dish, as it was critical for me to eat before 7PM, so I had to make do. The soup was just lousy. I ate about a third of it and gave it up for lost. The salad was most of my meal. The only thing that saved it was the garlic rolls, and they were not as good as usual. This location seems to have an uneven performance from the kitchen staff. We will likely not go back to this location again, as this is the second disappointing meal we have had here. The service is adequate and the premises are clean, but the food has been less than good.

Pretty standard Italian food. The pizza is good and the garlic rolls are freshly baked, topped with olive oil and parmesan cheese. I’ve heard dubious things about the owners, but the food is alright. There always seems to be a family with screaming kids here, though.

I ordered the garlic rolls which were supposed to be brushed with garlic butter and Parmesan cheese. Instead they were too doughy, oily, and definitely lacked cheese. The Soprano pizza was ok. The ingredients weren’t very tasty. The salami was good though. Overall my experience was just average

This is the best New York style pizza in Tallahassee! The crust is crisp, light, and flavorful. Never dry. The cheese is amazing and tastes like there is romano mixed in. There are also some great toppings, try salami instead of pepperoni and let me know what you think. Everything is seasoned perfectly. Also, great garlic rolls. This is located in the Killearn area, so the customers are a mixed crowd that drives all the way from campus for the good stuff and the people that live in the area.
