Hungry Howie’s

The best delivery pizza joint in town. The steak and cheese sub is so tasty! We usually get carry out from here because they have a $ 5.99 deal. The garlic butter crust is great.

This review is solely based on delivery, because that’s the only way I’ve had it :)
Matt insisted that I absolutely had to have a Hungry Howie’s sub while we were in Tallahassee, so we ordered some for delivery the other night. He had his favorite, the Italian sub, and I had a pizza sub. Matt also ordered an extra sub set (veggies, etc).
About 5 minutes after the order, they called to say that they were going to charge $ 1 for the sub set. He said no problem. But when it all came, there was no extra! They wouldn’t refund the charge, but they did put a $ 2 credit on the account (they keep them by phone number, I guess) at the store.
Lemme tell you, that pizza sub was GOOD. Think kind of a cross between a sub and a calzone — its not really on bread, its actually on a little pizza crust that they fold over and bake. I’m glad I only ordered a regular sized sub, because it filled me up, but if I’d ordered a large I would have eaten the whole thing just because it tasted so good. And that’s really all there is to say about that!
Delivery was quick — the house is only a mile or 2 from the store, and our subs came in probably 15 minutes. Can’t complain there. Definitely a new Tallahassee favorite for me!
