We just had a bear fence installed in our cabin up on Shoreview Dr in Tahoe City. A huge bear nicknamed Volkswagen had tried to break in the prior week, and then a baby bear just a few days later, so lucky for us Dan was available on short notice to have the work done. The Bear League and our Westlake Properties had both recommended him to us. Dan was very friendly and professional, and we couldn’t have been happier with his work. Everything was perfect and symmetrical and he did super high quality work, we couldn’t be happier. He was immediately available whenever I contacted him, plus he has a wonderful sense of humor. He has a great skill set and even diagnosed a broken security camera system for us, and gave us some good ideas for other needed improvements at our place. We live in Southern California (this is a second home/​vacation rental), so he took lots of photos of everything and made it as easy as possible to get everything done. I would certainly love to use him again for other projects at our place. He is as good as they get. A+++, highly recommended.

Contacted Dan regarding a quote to install bear fencing after a second bear break-​in within 6 months. I had previously contacted Bear Busters and the quote provided was very expensive and made me reconsider securing the cabin. I contacted the Bear League looking for additional recommendations to secure the cabin. The Bear League recommended DS Construction. Dan promptly responded to me and surveyed the job within a week. He was very knowledgeable and provided me with a reasonable quote. His work product is excellent and he is very professional. I was worried about the aesthetics of the electric fencing but Dan’s work exceeded my expectations. He clearly cares about saving the bears in Tahoe by keeping his prices reasonable so more homeowners can secure their homes. I highly recommend Dan for electric bear fencing.

Had Dan help us out post a bear intrusion. He was reliable, quick, clean, and very professional. The job was done with quality parts and Dan made great decisions about how to secure areas of the house while maintaining living flow and aesthetics. Beyond this what impressed me the most was how neat his work was. Wires were run discretely and stapled perfectly. I would highly recommend him for anybody considering an electric bear fence in the Tahoe region.

I’m a vacation home owner and know how important it is to have a contractor you can rely on and trust when your out of the area. Dan Sheean with DS construction is knowledgeable, informative and does a quality job. While my experience had to do with urgent repairs to flooring from water damage, I would use Dan for a significant remodel or repair.
