One of the managers to work for this location is a very rude asshole and he needs to be fired he shouldn’t be a manager of the location and I’m going to work my hardest to make sure that he loses his job as long as he’s the manager of this location I would never give them any more of my money

Asshole customer service, can’t get orders right to save your life, incoherent workers, had tons of attitude by the the workers, and false advertising on specials that they ran out of. I will not be coming back to this particular establishment. Highly dissatisfied and disappointed.

I have been to this Popeyes location multiple time & have had nothing but great experiences each & every time! The employees are always so friendly & helpful. The food, time & time again, is delicious! The chicken is crispy, hot & flavorful. The red beans is one of my favorites. Hands down the BEST fried chicken around here!

This place had one of the nicest cashiers I have ever met at any Popeyes, unfortunately I didn’t get the gentleman’s but service is a top reason why I go back to any restaurant. Food was fresh, hot, crispy and juicy. So good!

Came to the Popeyes on 6th Ave at 9:15 pm. I ordered a sandwich and was informed the sandwich station was closed for the evening. We tried to order a 3-piece dark meat chicken and were also informed that they only had Breast meat available because they were closing soon. I asked what time they closed and the gentleman stated«10:00 pm». A whole 45 minutes early and nothing on the menu was available due to «closing soon». I typed this as I waited 15 minutes for what we were able to order. A girl brought the food out and left so quickly I didn’t notice they brought no condiments(ordered shrimp. No tarter). No bag. No napkins. Nothing extra. I pulled around to the window again and was ignored! Window was open and I could hear them talking and could SEE them. 1 worker walked around the corner, made eye contact and walked away pretending not to see me. After several honks and yelling«EXCUSEME». Someone came to the window. Horrible service. Rude workers. Will not return.

I add another star because I have found this to be the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. Judge me all you want and wring your hands in the air since it’s a chain: I don’t care. I crave it like there’s no tomorrow.

Never again. I ordered the 8 piece combo meal and a 3 piece wing. Total $ 25.16.the order taker said it would be a 7 minute wait.Ok. so I pulled up to the window. he directed me to a spot. after a 10 minute wait, they sent this young girl out, who informed me they were out of they put a breast what was the 10 minute wait for? I ordered wings cause I have a 2 year old and a 7 year old that don’t eat the big pieces. Wasted my money and time.1st and last time going. I want my money back.

Food is average nothing to be raved about. Very clear the workers don’t care about a thing and aren’t overly pleasant. Fried chicken is pretty good and so are the biscuits. Not a big fan of the French fries.

A MAN’S MAN Review of Popeyes on the 6th Ave. Before I get into detail about Popeyes I have a story to tell… if you don’t want to read my adventure at Popeyes then screw you and skip the next two paragraphs for my review. So I forgot to wash my hands before I ordered but after getting my shrimp basket I made sure to count out how many shrimps I had in my basket. I had to do this because across the way there was this dude. He was looking hella suspect! He was just sitting there. Didn’t buy anything to eat. He looked hungry! Probably thirsty too! He was just looking hella suspect! So I counted how many shrimps were in my basket… ah juan, ahh toothhh, ahhh tree, ahhhh phở, ahhhh fife… okay I had 12 nuggets in my shrimp basket. Cool, I’ll be back. Well, after I came back from washing my hands I recounted my shrimp basket because again that dude across the way was acting shady. He looked like he had one of my nuggets stuffed in his mouth. So I counted. I knew it! That dude across the way took one of my nuggets because I counted 11 shrimps! Before I had 12! So I quickly looked up too give him that«stank-eyed» look but crisis diverted. My special needs a*s had one of the nuggets in my hand. That fool lucky because he was about to receive some throat chops to the jugular! I’m a devoted Catholic so no meat for me on Fridays. I was tempted to get some shhhicken and the devil’s temptation was strong but thank-you sweeeet baby Jesus! I did not fall into the pits of hell and ordered meat. Okay, my review! There wasn’t a lot of Popeyes in the Lakewood & Tacoma area except for one on Ft. Lewis and at McChord Air Field. If you are not military and do not have access to either locations on the military installations then there is one located on 72nd in the WinCo plaza and a new location in TilliSCUM… I mean Tillicuum. The new location is in Tillicum where you’ll meet the finer citizens of LakeHOOD. This place makes the fine citizens of Chocolate City look innocent. The Tillicum location especially during lunch hour for the soldiers is bad. Getting in and out of Tillicum during lunch rush is a disaster. Don’t do it! I prefer KFC Original chicken over Popeyes but if I had to choose between the KFC Crispy chicken and the Popeyes Crispy chicken my choice would be Popeyes Crispy chicken. Just better tasting. They even got the Popeyes Spicy Crispy chicken if you like heat! The mash & gravy is a good choice too! I like to dip my chicken in the gravy because I know i’mma fat-a*s in heart. I like the buttered cornbread smothered with jam! The jambalaya is pretty good too! Nice with a little kick to it! What else… red beans & rice! Whew! Don’t get started with the red beans & rice! If you wanna blow something up later in the day. Get yourself some red beans & rice! Just talking about Popeyes makes my heart rate go up. I can picture myself in front of Doctor Kwon my Korean physician telling me «Do you want to die Andrew!» Because if that fool knew I was eating at Popeyes he’d peel over! Twice! Shhh don’t tell Dr. Kwon that I’m eating at Popeyes! This location is located on the other end of 6th Avenue. The opposite side of the bars and clubs right across from Safeway. It’s right next door to Pawn Exchange so your gonna see some sketchy-a*s people but never had any problems. I ain’t skurrred! It’s an older building so the inside looks dated but your not at Popeyes for the scenery! You there to get yo grub on!

I can remember a time when Popeyes was the best thing ever out here in Tacoma. Probably bcuz the closest one was in Federal Way or on the military base. Now I always wonder why I just don’t go and get a couple biscuits and go on my merry way. To me, it would seem impossible to mess up a simple order of just 2 biscuits the way the chicken orders come up incorrect. My biggest issue here is quality assurance measures. Orders being handed out without making sure that they are correct is an issue here. Then not following their own rules is another issue There’s a sign on the drive thru window saying all credit & debit payments require photo identification. Rarely happens when I go there. Consistency is super important in food joints. Consistency with food, service & policies.

Overpriced food does not mean quality food. I have had better chicken even grocery store fried chicken tastes better than this. Received small pieces of chicken with my order, seriously they were rattling in my box. I remember Popeyes was good back in the day but it appears quality has gone down when price has gone up.

This is a nice looking location(I have eaten at a number of them for comparison) and the chicken was good. I did find they are inconstant on what spicy means — sometimes hot — sometimes mild. Also I ate at a Popeye’s in Louisiana and found their spicy actually is SPICY. Service is friendly as it usually is.

I went to the 72nd st. location to go… got home and only my sides were in the bag… NOCHICKEN!!! Called the 6th ave store on accident and talked to a manager named Durrell who was extremely helpful when the 72nd store wouldn’t answer any of my phone calls. I’ve always loved popeyes chicken, but looks like I might have to change which location I go to from now on.

Fried chicken is Popeye’s métier. Biscuits are its secret weapon. It was two in the afternoon and I hadn’t eaten. The day’s plans were set. Popeye’s and a fade haircut. It would be the last order of 2012 and thus, an occasion. After scanning the menu for a few the die was cast. 2-Piece Bonafide Combo, spicy. Usually a leg or a thigh paired with a breast. BUT. For a buck fourteen more you can make that TWO breasts which is more than plenty. The birds were fresh out the fryer, crunchy and fat with flavor. Add to that a flaky biscuit laced with honey and butter, red beans and rice washed down with euphoric sweet tea and you have the best lunch for under nine bones. After tearing into the second breast, fried to perfection but with a notable lack of grease, between bites of a vanishing biscuit, the red beans and rice somehow felt superfluous. The sun was out.

Well butter my butt & call me a biscuit! Look who’s here! Yeah, my boyfriend and I. Their biscuits are pretty much amazing. We stopped here on the way home from Herron Island for a small snack. Drive-thru: Check. The chicken was okay, mac and cheese was okay, service was friendly. Gets yo biscuits!

Something is WAY wrong here. I tried to contact the company via e-mail, but I got to the end of the questions and it froze, and stopped working. We went through the drive through at about 9pm at night, there was no one there, that should have been a sign, because their other location on 72nd is ALWAYS busy. We ordered 2 po boy meals. The food was beyond gross. The food tasted like it had been in warmers for a VERYLONG time. We had fries that we could not even break with our teeth, and they tasted so bad. The meat was not even warm. I ended up not even eating my meal at all. Go to the one on 72nd, they are A GREATDEALBETTER! Gezzz, very disappointed.
