I give this a 3 star because the location was nice and clean, the chicken was good, but their service sucks! We went there last night for dinner, we weren’t sure what to order and the cashier looked annoyed by us he didn’t seem helpful, once we were done with our order and pay I realized he didn’t bother to ask how we wanted our chicken crispy or grilled? Thank god I asked because not everyone enjoy either one, so if you eat in they bring the food to your table, food took about 15 min to come but our order was not complete we were missing chicken and the yuca fries took forever, we were half way thru our food and still no yuca fries or the missing chicken, I had to go and follow up seems like they forgot they were too busy talking about one of their employee being fired, unprofessional of them, overall the food good but don’t expect great customer service, try their tamarindo juice! Very good

3 starts because chicken is good. They ask of you want grilled or fried. I said fried. After 30!!! Minutes worker comes up to our table saying they don’t have grilled, only fried or for grilled have to wait more. So we agreed to get fried but asked to get breast part since they are giving us this inconvenience. And they said they can’t give us breast no matter that we already waited half an hour. And the girl said if you still want it grilled so wait 30! Minutes more. So total of an hour of waiting time. With a one year old child in the stroller. Food is good but with such a bad attitude this is not even called customer service. If you knew you won’t have grilled why wouldn’t you tell me right away instead of making me wait for 30 minutes for nothing! I hope manager reads it and something will be changed in the way workers talk to customers because this is plain unprofessional.

Two stars for the effort. The grilled chicken was tasty but the service was horrible. You walk in, order your meal then wait for it. Just like any other fast food place. The problem for me was that the 1 and only cashier/person taking my order must have been brand new because not only was she super slow but she didn’t know a thing about the menu or prices. She kept calling over to another person in the kitchen to ask questions about the menu while taking my order. Frustrating.

Really good, non GMO pollo restaurant. All the chicken here is full of flavor. This is finger licking good chicken with a Latin twist. You have yuca fries or platano maduros, to drink hocharta, tamarindo, desert is flan or arroz con leche. I recommend you to try their Peruvian citrus chicken, grilled. Oh man, the best grilled chicken I’ve had in a long time, so juicy and flavorful. I always get tamarindo(tamarind) with my drink, its good, not great, non the less. They get a four rather than a five, due to slow service. The wait time on average is 15 – 20 minutes. Therefore give yourself ample room to wait if not you’ll get hangry. So come to Sunset Park La Quinta and give Pollo Campero a try.

Waited for almost an hour for my food. The kitchen was a hugeeee mess. Customer service was bad. It felt like I was in an oven in there. The place was small and crowded. I ordered a 12 pieces family meal with 3 sides. went home, and got less than 12 pieces of chickens, got only one side and it was not the side that I ordered. Gave me some buns that taste nothing special about them at alllll! This place sucks.

In my opinion, hands down the best fast food fried chicken in the world. They are originally from Guatemala and now all over the world, even in China. When you think fried chicken you normally think of KFC or Popeyes. But once you have this, it changes your fried chicken world! It’s so crispy when it’s fresh, not dripping with oil or gooey at all. But yet, juicy! Even the white meat is so good. This one is their newest location in Brooklyn! We love it with their fresh crunchy coleslaw. Just don’t expect American coleslaw which is full of sugar. Theirs is fresh, crunchy and oh so good. They have great fried Yuca. Great sides like rice and Campero beans. Desserts like flan and tres leches. Yummy yummy! This food brings every Central American back home like nobody’s business. Here in NYC, they are in multiple locations in Queens, Brooklyn, Long Island and NJ. Again, it’s fast food. Don’t expect much from service and you’ll have a blast. :)

2016 brought my favorite fast food chain to Sunset Park, Brooklyn. I’ve been stalking this chain across the globe and they’ve finally come! The staff is very friendly, can speak fluent English and are well-versed in their menu selections. We got there shortly after they opened with the hot oil dripping off the freshly fried chicken. I couldn’t wait to dig in! I love it how they fry their chicken. It’s different from other places(other than Korean) as the chicken isn’t covered in that nasty breaded batter. It’s nice and crispy and has lots of flavor that you just want to sink your teeth into. They have a good selection of Latino drinks behind the counter. I’m a fan of the Tamarindo. The soda fountain also has a good selection of drinks that aren’t common to most restaurants in the area. They are lacking a salsa bar(unlike most of their chain restaurants), but it’s probably due to lack of space. Just be aware, they often make up the orders fresh, so although it is «fast food,» you may be waiting for a bit. Trust me… it’s worth it! They’ll give you a number and bring out the food to your table. I also enjoy the sweet plantains and yucca fries here as well. Welcome to the hood!
