On the perimeter of Sunset Park Chinatown, this essentially take-out place has a spacious dining area if you purchase your food and eat in, cafeteria style. I think they intended to be a mini-food court but at the moment, there’s just the fried chicken counter with a floor sign listing many noodle dishes, and a bubble tea counter next to it, shuttered when we went. No printed menu available yet. We ordered some fried chicken wings and legs to go. Good news is they don’t keep too many sitting around, so while we had to wait, they did fry up a fresh batch for us. I ate them shortly after getting home(their dining area being entirely too desolate to be comfortable). While still piping hot, the pieces I tried were juicy and the light coating crisp; flavor needs work. A few pieces consumed later the same evening were unsalvageably mediocre. At $ 1 to $ 1.5 a piece, its pretty pricy for the quality. Better fried chicken is easy to find but if you get these, eat them as soon as possible.

I’ve been patiently waiting for this Fried Chicken joint to open for some time now… because with a name like Madly Wild Fried Chicken you just HAVE to deliver! Unfortunately there really is nothing magical about the food here. The menu is limited and you could tell that they cut every corner possible. The a la carte chicken menu was written on a napkin for gods sake! I didn’t bother with the sides(they didn’t look very appetizing) and went straight for the chicken. $ 2 for a fried chicken breast, $ 1.50 for a giant fried chicken leg and $ 1 for a fried chicken wing. No you read that right, they don’t serve thighs! wth?! that’s my favorite piece! The batter is lacking spice but it did come out crispy. the meat was also pretty juicy surprisingly. They also had some slushies, bubble tea, ice cream, etc but I didn’t try any. Prices aren’t too bad considering the size of the chicken is larger than most. I’ll drop by for a quick snack if I’m craving fried chicken, I just wish there were more menu options!
