Great food and service. Parking sucks during lunch time.

Le Boulanger used to be my favorite place for sandwiches. Over the last few years, it’s been going downhill. The sandwiches have gotten smaller and the quality is not what it used to be. My biggest disappointment is the absence of the vegetable medley sandwich after 11am. It’s one of the best sandwiches they make. Today I had the grilled chicken sandwich. The bread was very soggy and wet at some parts. The bread is smaller in size now :(. The sandwich came with a small amount of slaw, which was tasty. I also had the chicken and rice soup which tasted mediocre. I don’t recommend this place anymore; there are better sandwich shops around Sunnyvale downtown.

Went here for the first time today, got a Portabella veggie sandwich. It took quite awhile to come out, considering the restaurant was practically empty at 2:45p. The sandwich itself was pretty decent, just kinda plain, but maybe that’s the sandwich itself. For 8 bucks, it was pretty dang small though. The service was just average, nothing special. Would maybe go back if there was no other option, but definitely wouldn’t be my first choice. Only major plus to this place is the extremely spacious seating area that seems to be a good place to get work done or just hang out. But if you’re only there for a sandwich to go, go somewhere else.

Who loves you? I do, Le Bou! Work catering ftw with trying out some newbies from Le Bou. An oldie but goodie is their chocolate chip crunch cookie. I have never seen another place that makes a cookie similar to the way Le Bou does. Best described as basically sticking the crunchy part of a nestle crunch bar in a chocolate chip cookie. Yum, right? Other eats: Salads — Also great vegetarian options and basically everything I could want in a lunch with a mango, strawberry, and feta salad and also a mixed greens salad. Plus, fruit salad. Sammies — a veg sandwich and one with portabello… veggie happy! And non-veg too. Coffee cake — OMG apple nut coffee cake. Every bite was decadent with sweet cinnamon, coated nuts, and little chunks of rich apple. I don’t know how they made apple taste rich, but they did. Bloobs coffee cake was good to, but it couldn’t aspire to be the apple. A great place for a s, s, s(soup, salad, sammy) stop for sure!

Its a lovely café right across street from my place and I have visited it quite often lately. Have tried their sandwiches and they are definitely delicious. The place is huge and there is lot of sitting capacity. They have both indoor and outdoor sitting areas and there is plenty of parking available.

Very nice place! I love watching manufacturing, and I did the entire time I was there! Food was good — ½ sandwich and soup. Not fantastic, but very tasty for lunch.

I like this place. I came here for lunch today and I was irritated the lady at the counter didn’t hand me a cup for coffee for some reason even though I ordered it. To be fair they had a long line. I went up to ask and another employee gave me a large cup(I ordered a small) he also gave me two bags of chips. That was really nice. I’ll come back. :) I like how you can watch them making the bread, I didn’t notice that before.

My first time here today the atmosphere was relaxing I loved how they showed the people making bread that was pretty neat, food was a bit pricy I got a small coffee and sandwich for $ 17.05. Workers were kind of quiet didn’t suggest anything or ask if it was my first time which I’m sure u could tell cuz I looked a little lost could have been more friendly but overall a nice relaxing place to be and free WiFi :)

I’m a fan of chicken pesto sandwiches. Le Boulanger’s version($ 8.25) was hot and toasted to perfection. I asked for extra pesto and baby greens in my sandwich and it came out just right. The cashier, Andre, was really nice about my requests and made sure my sandwich was extra toasted. The sandwiches come with a small bag of Lay’s potato chips and a pickle wedge. They’ll give you extra pickles if you ask. I put my extra pickles in my sandwich. The clam chowder bowl($ 5.75) is pretty good, but I was thrown off by the off-white color because I’m used to eating clam chowder at Boudin. I wish the sandwich makers were friendly, but I’m not sure how stoked I would be to make sandwiches for eight hours. I’m guessing they were hired for their awesome sandwich making skills, not their customer service abilities. This location is the largest one I’ve been to, so there is plenty of seating. The bakery is located here, so you can watch the action while eating. The rye bread is good. I’ve got a two pound loaf in my work freezer right now. Don’t forget to activate and register a loyalty card. Free cookie after your register the card online. Surprise perks like free bagels. Free cinnamon roll for your birthday. I’m not a fan of the cookies or cinnamon rolls, though. They’re pretty gross considering all the better options in the area. Haha. Be careful not to park in the front section. Those spots are reserved for Sutter Health patients and the parking monitor will come over to ask you to move your car.

Great food. Huge dining room. Not sure about location. It’s is away from retail area. Unfortunately our SUV got broken into at this parking lot location. We are not sure if owner of building has security. Thieves broke the window to our SUV while we were eating inside the restaurant. This restaurant has good food but the parking lot is not a safe area. We found three other backpacks that we’re stolen from other cars thrown behind the restaurant that the police were able to collect. My daughter cried all the way home. They stole her iPad, Apple Chargers, purse, jacket, wallet, $ 150.00 cash and a few birthday gifts. My son also had his backpack stolen full of giants stuff. He understood that there are bad people out there but was very sad. We are grateful no one got hurt. Please be aware that thieves are lurking around and ready to steal your items.

Walked in here expecting your average, pleasant, and quick experience. I walked out two times(you’ll hear in a bit) disappointed more than the first. I arrived to order a half salad/sandwich combo as well as a full sandwich. As I was patiently waiting for my restaurant pager to buzz, I see customer after customer receiving their order. Of course, customers who had ordered before me, and then, customers who had come in after me. One by one, they got their food, as I stood there thinking, «maybe there was just a really busy lunch rush before?» as it was about 1:45pm. But from the looks of it, it really wasn’t that busy. Another 10 minutes pass by(after the first 10), and I finally get acknowledged. «Oh, do you have an order?» I replied yes and I come to find my order had been behind the counter the whole time. Honest mistake, right? I then repeat my order to the man and ask him if everything is accounted for, he said yes. Perfect! I leave. I drive home, open the bag, and find they had not even made my sandwich. Only the half salad/sandwich combo. After all that waiting and checking my order was not even complete. I called them back and told the girl on the phone what had happened. She apologized and let me know they would make another sandwich. So I get back into my car, drive to Le Boulanger again, and pick up the sandwich. The guy who had assured me my order was correct was there to hand me my new bag when I got in. Barely looking up from the counter he says, «sorry bout that», and continues on. Never. Again. I’m a pretty patient person but when I go out of my way to drive somewhere, wait without asking any questions, then am obligated(since it was paid for already) to go BACK because someone wasn’t paying attention, i expect some apology, even a «is there anything we can do?» Nothing. I should have just gone to The Sandwich Spot, which I was originally going to do. Bad choice on my end.

Ok here’s the deal. Early on in my career, I worked in several restaurants. When you start your shift, you always check to see what the restaurant is out of, what you need to push, etc. This fundamental practice is obviously not part of the operating procedures for this location, nor is customer service. I took my family here for breakfast the other day and ordered the bacon and cheese bagel sandwich. We get our coffee, etc and waited at our table… The rest of our food arrives… I wait some more. and then finally, someone walks up to our table and lets us know they don’t have any Bagels. WHAT!!! It’s a full functioning bakery for crying out loud. The worker asks what we’d like to do, I say refund out money(the rest of my family was already almost done with their meals). They ask us to go back to the counter for the refund, where we have to wait 5+ minutes for them to figure out how to issue a refund. I have eaten at several other locations of Le Boulanger and have NEVER had an experience like this. This location needs to step up their game.

This place is weird at best: It’s a lunch time and their baked goods selection is less than that of any general purpose«Lucky» grocery store nearby. It looked like the hurricane went through it. This also happens to be a factory store. That means they produce baked goods here at the same building. And they’ve made an attraction of it — there are huge windows in the wall divider between production and the general public sitting areas. Similarly to Krispy Creams have their factory-stores for all to see. Someone dressed in the Le Boulanger uniform has rudely prevented us from taking a picture of the facility. No signs are posted. He vaguely referred to some managers decision. This is plain childish and silly. You either close the windows or post the«No Pictures Allowed» sign. The only good thing at this time was their sitting area is nicely sized. Too bad after all of the above we didn’t get to enjoy it.

I’ve gone to this location about 3 – 4 times only because it’s conveniently close to my work. Each time I’ve gone the service was horrible taken that each visit I hope that the service is better. I went last Tuesday and was extremely disappointed. I got into Le Boulanger at 1:15pm, and keep in mind that no one was in line and the lunch rush was over. I waited for a good 5 minutes while the cashier was counting her cash till. Not once did she look up and say«hi just give a me a few minutes, or i’ll be with you in a few minutes.» She really didn’t look up at all until she was done with what she had to do. There was another cashier that was just walking around didn’t even pay attention to see if there were customers waiting and there was an open register. The only time the second cashier came to help was when a family of 3 came in after me. Keep in mind again, I still wasn’t helped and was still waiting in line. Finally after counting her money, I was asked for my order. Yeah that didn’t even go well… I asked for the half sandwich and salad combo. The cashier looked at me like it was something new on the menu. I’m sure this wasn’t the first time someone ordered that combination. I finally paid for my overpriced combo($ 11.25!!) and went around the to the side to see my lunch being prepared. So in the end the service here is awful, I’ve been to many other Le Boulanger locations and never once was I dissatisfied until my visit last week. If the manager is reading this, you can take this with how ever you want to, but the customer service needs to improve. Cashiers shouldn’t be counting their cash tills especially in front of customers. A greeting would be nice as well.

Updating my review! I went back and they paid for my entire order because the last time I ordered soup and they gave me the wrong size. So I thought that was great customer service. It still takes awhile for the food to come out but maybe the staff is new and learning still.

Love there sourdough 2lb bread basket. It’s. Moist with a chewy crust. Some other places have airy bread with a hard crust exterior. But this was to my liking :) Guest services in person and online was very responsive and great to work with. It’s my bakery café of choice for my bakery, sweets etc.

Solid sandwiches and salads. There’s very few places in this area worthy of stopping, but these guys provide a good lunch at a fair price. Service is good and there’s literally no ambiance. Definitely not a spot for a first romantic date, but«functional eating».

Whenever I come here I always get the bay shrimp melt and sub their sourdough for 9 grain. The sandwich itself becomes a lot heartier and subbing for higher fiber/“healthier” bread never hurts :) I’m also a fatty though so I also order a cup of tomato soup which includes their sourdough dinner roll hehee :)))) For all the food listed above, the total comes to just $ 12 which is awesome AND they have a loyalty card here where you can earn free foods once you swipe a certain amount of times. 5 stars for cheap good food and free stuffs!

When I finished high school centuries ago, I was extremely excited to know of the fact that I would never have cafeteria food ever again. Thanks a lot ‘Le Boulanger’ for bringing that experience back to me. Sarcastically speaking of course. The term ‘le boulanger,’ as defined on wikipedia means ‘the baker.’ From the food I had today, it is a direct insult to the French. If anything, the brand should re-name itself to «dégoûtante.» Look that up yourself. The single star only goes to the service. Due to the hectic lunch crowds, I understand why my order was incorrect twice. No big deal. Friendly staff all around and they definitely cared about the customers that were present during the time I came in to pick up my order. Here is where the problem lies(bullet points for easy reference to those that have goldfish-like attention spans and prefer cliff note styled reviews). Oh, by the way, this is for the COBB salad that I ordered: — Iceberg lettuce? Probably the cheapest from all of the Greens family tree. — Frozen chicken is one thing, but frozen and old chicken? It tasted as if a toddler ate it, spit it back out, and was shaped into good looking chicken strips. — This was a cardinal sin. Who in their right mind could mess up on bacon? Nice try on cutting up a single strip into ½″ square pieces also. The appearance of the sad pork strip looked unevenly cooked(half-cooked at best) and tasted as if it came out of a test lab. — Balsamic dressing that tasted like pure MSG through it’s every drip and drop. To be honest, I would have been happier to use soy sauce. — Crap, I just realized that there was no blue cheese in the salad either. — Avocado. C’mon now. It’s just peeling the skin and removing the pit. Don’t expect that I’d give any sort of credit for that. I ended up giving most of my meal to my girlfriend since they forgot the chicken in her miso salad. Management, if you are reading this, I only have one thing to say. You are cheating the hell out of your customers. Actually, I’ll refer to them as consumers since you probably have no interest in anything but making a quick buck. The profit margin you are receiving from the sale of what you may call«food» is disturbingly disgusting. For a similar COBB salad that I paid no more than $ 5 in high school, you are most likely, if not more, making 600% profit from the wholesale costs of the ingredients being used.
