I called Express El Camino Locksmith in the morning, like around 8:15am, and the technician arrive around 9:00am. At 9:30a, the technician finished rekeying 2 locks. He is very efficient and arrives on time. Charges a reasonable price. I would happily recommend him to any of my friends.

My bathroom door got stuck last night and we couldn’t open it. I called these guys and they told me that they charge $ 55 just to look at it and another $ 50 to remove the door knob. I said the price was a little too high just to remove the door knob. The guy told me he would call back but didn’t. I tried calling them back and no one answered and i immediately received an automated text saying he’s in a meeting. I called hollenbeck locksmith in sunnyvale and they told me it would only cost me $ 15 to have them check it out and another $ 40 for the labor. Call around first before giving your business to these guys. No need to overpay crooks for the exact same service.

True story, I called this place at 7:25 in the morning today, and a live human picked up the phone, although their stated hours of opening are 8 am! I explained my issue (a deadbolt problem) and they said the tech would be at my place by 8:45 am. Lo and behold, the tech arrived ON TIME, and by 9:15 my lock was repaired, lubed and back in place, working normally. Cost for the service was reasonable. Will I use this locksmith again if I need them? You betcha! Can’t remember the last time I had a service call come ON TIME.

We needed a new doorknob put in our front door. The door is larger than average and the doorknob is inset further than an average doorknob.
Through our phone conversation, derik ordered the parts and came out to my house installed the doorknob quickly and in an organized, clean and professional way.

Decided I needed to change the locks on my front door after I came across an intruder in my condo (the intruder ran off empty handed). Searched Unilocal and saw the good reviews on Express El Camino. Initially found it difficult to communicate exactly what I wanted but after Derik suggested I text him pictures of my existing locks, Derik was able to provide me with appropriate recommendations for replacement locks together with a quote for performing the work.
Derik said he would come over in about 45 mins and kept his word. He worked quickly and installed Schlage locks which were an improvement upon my previous locks. I took the opportunity to have Derik fix the lock to the side door of my garage and provide me with duplicate keys for the front door locks. Appreciated that Derik was respectful of my carpet and removed his shoes when necessary — a considerate gesture.
I would highly recommend Derik and would not hesitate to use his services again if I ever needed a locksmith.

I live in a townhouse complex and two of the pedestrian door locks to our garage weren’t functioning correctly. It was a Sunday, and it wasn’t an emergency, but Derik came out right away to fix it. It was really nice to be able to get this done on a weekend.
One of the locks was not locking. It’s a more complicated lock, part of a «panic bar» system (as I learned from him), and some of the parts inside had become misaligned over time. The other lock needed a new latch. Derik quickly identified the problems and also gave me a lot of information about our locks, what type of locks they are, explaining the problems.
Derik was really knowledgable and helpful. This was so painless, he came out so quickly, I don’t know why we waited so long to finally fix these problems.

It’s the afternoon of move-​in day and I want to rekey the home ASAP. Did a quick search on Unilocal.I called another place but no one picked up. Second call was to Express El Camino. Derik said he could come by 30 min to an hour. He arrived timely and started working away, even with all the moving commotion. Couple of the locks were sticky and he quickly fixed them. Couldn’t be happier with the quick service. Thanks, Derik!

We had a «locked the car keys in the car» incident. I called Derik and he said he’d be at our house within 30 minutes. He did indeed arrive within 30 minutes and had the car open in less than 5 minutes.
Good service, friendly and competent. He also reminded me that if my auto insurance had roadside service coverage then they would most likely cover the cost.

Last night I needed the lock to my front door changed on a rush basis. Luckily Express El Camino is open until 8pm so I was able to get my lock changed after 7 and not get charged an after hours fee. They came within the hour and had the lock changed in 10 minutes! I am not saying they could do this for every customer — I just happened to hit them at the right time when they weren’t busy but they assured me that when they aren’t booked up they will do their best to offer quick service. I highly recommend them!

Rushing out the door one morning, I shut the self-​locking door behind me and that «Oh sh*t» thought runs through my head. I realized I had locked myself out.
Thank goodness for modern technology. I quickly get on my phone and Unilocal «locksmith.» I believe it was 7:58 am, and Derik saved the day. And while it seemed like each ticking minute was eternity when I was already running late, it was actually only 18 minutes for him to arrive. It took him about 7 minutes and a few tools to unlock the door.
There is a 10% discount if you pay with cash and mention Unilocal,but I’m sure I just gave him the whole amount in cash because of the speediness and friendliness of the service. Very reasonable if you ask me.
I would definitely recommend if you’re in a jam and need a good locksmith STAT.

I had an extremely positive experience with Express El Camino Locksmith today and plan to use them for any future locksmith requirements.
An emergency came up this afternoon which resulting me my having to changes all of the locks in my house immediately. Within 30 minutes, an extremely kind, efficient and professional representative from the company arrived at my house — — I wish I remembered his name but can’t at this time.
He provided me with information about my current locks which explained quite a bit of the problems I had been having, corrected the issues, and made sure that the same problem could not occur in the future.
I found the price for the service very reasonable and could not be happier with the experience. I highly recommend using Express El Camino Locksmith,.

Just had an amazing experience with Derik. We accidentally locked ourselves out of our apartment at 9am on Saturday morning, and the landlord said she couldn’t be here til 11. That would have been fine if we weren’t locked out with our squirmy cat (she ran through our legs on the way outside and we ran to get her and forgot the keys). I called them and they said someone would be out in 30 – 45 minutes and he showed up in 40.
Our lock is apparently not pickable so Derik had to drill it out. He even made the lock so it would work with our keys. THEN a screw in our knob was stripped so he had to replace the whole thing.
He did all of this with a smile in under 15 minutes. And, the best part, was it was all just $ 99, which is the $ 89 they quoted on the phone for the regular unlock, plus the $ 10 for the drilling (which Derik told me about before he did it) plus NOTHING for the new lock or the doorknob, which would be at least $ 15 at Home Depot.

Derik saved the day! Before calling Express El Camino, I unfortunately called another unprofessional locksmith in the area who tried to overcharge me.
Over the phone, Express told me someone would be out in 45 minutes. Derik arrived in 20 minutes and unlocked my door in under 5 minutes, whereas the previous locksmith failed to open the door and told me he had to drill the door just to get it open.
Glad I went with Express because they were professional on the job. He asked for proof of ID before unlocking the door, which made me feel safe. Plus, he was friendly. Impressed and will be using them if I ever need another locksmith in the future.
