Mike started in the flooring industry going door to door offering carpet cleaning services to both residential and commercial customers. While cleaning the carpet to ready a rental unit for a tenant move in the next day it was clear that the carpet needed more than cleaning. It was shot. At 4:30pm the client, in a panic, asked Mike if he could have the carpet replaced by the next morning in time for the new tenant to move in. Not wanting to disappoint his long time client, Mike assured the client it would be done. Mike, himself now in a panic, not knowing the first thing about installing carpet, tore out the old carpet, purchased new carpet and found and installer willing to work through the night. By 9:00am the next morning the tenant was moving in that apartment with brand new carpet under their feet. Mike’s client was very happy. Mike was now in the carpet business. Soon after that he opened Anderco and has been offering installation within 24 hrs. ever since.
