BUYERS BEWARE! Living Social & Groupon advertised a $ 59 deal with Eco Friendly Carpet Cleaning for cleaning up to three rooms up to 200 sq. ft. each. (Sos Carpet Cleaning, Eco Friendly Carpet Cleaning, All Green Carpet Cleaning, and Eco Steam Carpet Cleaning all fall under the same umbrella with the same ownership). Upon contacting Eco, the receptionist asked that I do not purchase the Living Social or Groupon deal, as they would honor the deals at the same $ 59 price if I purchased directly from Eco Friendly Carpet Cleaning as I only have 1 room and 1 runner to clean.
The receptionist made a point of telling me the technician would not ask for more money once he arrived to clean carpet. Appointment made for Saturday, December 12^th arrival between 12pm-​2pm. At 3:30pm (an hour and half past arrival window), same receptionist calls and advises the technician would be arriving within 30 minutes. At 5:00pm (3 hours past the arrival window) I received text from technician saying he was on his way. The Technician showed up between 5:30pm-6:00pm — 4 hours past the appointment arrival window.
Immediately upon arrival the Technician began pressuring me for $ 100. I informed Technician the agreed to price was $ 59. He continued to press me for $ 100, then $ 80. At this point, I was worn out by his continual pressuring and haggling over the price, and agreed to pay him $ 75. I paid the technician cash and received a receipt from him. It took him less than 15 minutes to clean the bedroom carpet and runner. Once done, I did not have an opportunity to inspect his work. The technician finished his work and immediately rushed out of my apartment in such a hurry that he left behind a new bottle of large carpet cleaning solution at my front door. Upon walking into the bedroom, I immediately noticed the DAMAGE to my bed.
It was very apparent the technician’s machine had hit the bed frame and chipped off a 4″ chunk of wood. I immediately texted the Technician and informed him of the damage. He denied he had done anything and told me to call office. I immediately called the office. There was no answer so I left a voice message. Over the next 4 days I called the office numerous times. Left many messages on the with the receptionist and on voicemail. After four (4) days the manager finally returned my phone calls. From the start of the conversation, he was very defensive. He stated his technician did not cause this damage. I informed him that I had obtained three (3) quotes from local furniture repair companies. Repair costs ranged from $ 250-​$ 450.
On December 17, five (5) days after the incident, David, the owner of Eco Friendly Carpet Cleaning, came to my apartment to inspect the damage himself. His exact words «The machine is the same height of your bed, I could see how it would get caught on the bed if he used it too close to the bed». He was extremely apologetic for the damage. I advised him the repair costs ranged from $ 250 to $ 400. He offered to write me a check for $ 125 plus one free carpet cleaning, which I refused. He asked that I give him a few weeks and he would discuss with Technician to hopefully get the «chip of wood» from him to reduce the cost of the repairs. I gave David, 3 weeks to locate the missing chip from his technician. After numerous attempts, I was finally able to reach David on January 13. During our 2-​minute phone conversation with a raised voice David, the owner of Eco Friendly Carpet Cleaning, informed me I could take a $ 125 check, or I could take nothing. David said, «You can’t prove my guy did anything to your bed.»
As a very dissatisfied customer with significant damage to furniture caused by the carelessness of Eco Friendly Carpet Cleaning I am advising you to AVOID this company. Do not give your money to a company who does not honor their quoted prices and will not fix their mistakes. They also work under the name All Green Carpet Cleaning. Do not use Eco Friendly Carpet Cleaning, All Green Carpet Cleaning, SOS Carpet Cleaning, or Eco Steam Carpet Cleaning. They are all operated under the same ownership.

If you really care about how your carpets look and don’t want to subject it to a cheap cleaning (like most companies do), then SOS Carpet Cleaning is the company for you. Great professionals with an excellent knowledge of what they are doing and friendly service.

I had sos clean my carpets, two area rugs and a sectional couch. They did a nice job overall. The workers were very friendly. The whole job took 4 hours and so far everything looks good. Will definitely have them back and recommend to others. Pricing was fair
Time-​frame was ok. They were 20 minutes late but called to notify which was nice.

I hired SOS carpet cleaning to do a deep Cleaning of all my carpets after my new doggy pee all over my carpet, after 2 hours that I booked the appointment the guy showed up He was friendly, and extremely informative. and I’m glad to say that my carpets were not only left clean, but they smelled and looked brand new, and at a great price! I will definitely be calling them again and referring them to my friends.

I would give this company 10 stars if I could, I wish I can post pictures of before and after of my carpet, these guys were amazing, they did such an amazing job cleaning my carpet, thank you I would only recommend these guys they are truly the best.

Sos carpet cleaning really does save your soul. Owning an old dog accidents are always bound to happen. But rather than replacing all my carpet, Sos did an amazing job bringing it back to life. The carpets look better then the day i moved in and any scent of owning a pet is gone. Call them asap if your carpet is in need of saving. 5 out of 5 anytime for these guys.

This was a genuine awful experience!
Cleaner was suppose to be here between 9−11am, got here at 11:45am, due to this I was short on time and he (Leo) just paced around my home and kept trying to up sell me at $ 180. My neighbor across from me (i have lived here for 11yrs) has a place that did her apt that is bigger and MUCH more carpeting for only $ 125. He was not willing to even clean my carpets for the Groupon price that was agreed on and He left!
He said that he can not guarantee that the carpets would look any better for that price, I said that I hand cleaned parts of the carpet and it looked better and I just want that uniformally through out my carpet, how is it possible for me to clean up my own carpet in spots and it gets clean and you come here with a device to clean carpets and you CAN NOT GUARANTEE it would be any cleaner!!! TOTAL SCAM! NEVER AGAIN GROUPON NEVER AGAIN THIS CARPET PLACE! You don’t realize the company you are buying from on Groupon until you purchase it. BAD BAD BAD!

I would give 0 stars if I could. Complete scam. Maya quotes a price on the phone for our two couches and once the technician arrives he states,” if you want the deep clean it will be at least $ 200.00 more.”
I still don’t know what the deep clean is because I witnessed him putting a couple handfuls of powdered soap in the water, not sure how that made it a deep clean. Maya phoned him four times to hurry up and get on to the next job. Stay away from this company.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. A little A*$hole little person (it’s little person not midget right?) with a horrible attitude comes in and tells me that it is going to cost $ 100 more for extra chemicals and starts haggling with me over the price. He only wanted cash even thought it says cards are acceptable on sight. I write him a check and he doesn’t understand what it is and asks for cash. Long story short… DON’T HIRE THESE GUYS!!!

7 BAD Unilocal REVIEWS AND AN F ON THE BBB!!!
So I have some friends with drinking and peeing problems… I have a microsuede tan sectional that was peed on by a roommate 3 months ago and it was cleaned for $ 175 by another company with no deals; the entire couch, cleaned, sanitized and deodorized… Very nice.
One month later another friend pees on it in his drunken sleep and we have him get it cleaned within a week and he’s not a Unilocaler and chose SOS, who on their website has a deal for 1^st time customers to clean a couch AND loveseat for $ 100 total. He calls and is quoted $ 160 being that it takes more to sanitize and deodorize a pee stain. Get a call from my roommate that they are at the house wanting $ 380 to do the entire sectional… WHAT… I can respect a jump up on a quote but to more than double the price (nearly double and half!) I don’t like liars!
I’m trying to get ahold of the guy paying to find out if he is going to pay the $ 380 meanwhile my roommate had okayed the guy to start on the couch. Finally I call the man cleaning the couch and proceed to argue with him about the pricing issue. He stayed calm «We’ve been around 20 years and can only quote on what we’ve seen and that coupon is for a loveseat and couch and this ma’am is a sectional (I know therefore its SMALLER than a lovesat and couch,) and in addition we have to deodorize and sanitize so that’s why it’s $ 380.» My turn, «Oh so in 20 years you’ve seen a few microsuede sectionals and must know by now what a human pee stain is going to be around therefore you quoted my friend $ 160 for the entire job and now more than doubled it which is absurd… and you seem to make a habit of this misquoting people according to Unilocal you have ⁶⁄₇ terrible reviews.» Him «Yes but ma’am again that is for a loveseat and couch and then the additional cost for chemicals to get out a fresh pee stain and we’ve been around a long time and do a good job… blah blah.»
After arguments with two different people at SOS we settled on doing half the couch for $ 225 (not the sides or back) so now I will have a two toned couch. Awesome! And according to other comments on here I bet the stains show back up in a couple of weeks.
Don’t lie to me and I won’t Unilocal that you are a liar and add another bad complaint to the BBB.

These guys are awful. Not only are they rude, and dishonest, but now my carpet smells like a mix of homeless man’s nutsack and old taco meat. When I called to complain, they told me they were going to charge me a $ 30 service fee to come back, and fix the mess that THEY made! This company is worthless, they don’t even deserve one star.

I will NEVER, EVER use these scam artists again. They lie to you, overcharge you and their cleaning results don’t last.
I agree with many reviews on here — these guys are dishonest & use the classic bait & switch. I guess I also should have guessed that $ 49.95 for three rooms is way too good to be true.
The guys show up and do this big song & dance, showing you how the basic service you booked just won’t possibly do the job — they do this BS demo where they show you a patch of carpet «cleaned» with the basic service (see same color, simply wet carpet), and then a patch with the extensive cleaners (see much lighter, clean carpet).
I ask how much for this clearly much better cleaning and i’m quoted TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS!!! REALLY!!!
To be fair, they do tell you that lighter carpets could cost extra, but they go from $ 50 to $ 250!!! That’s like a 400% increase. I tell the guy over & over that there is no way I’m paying that, that $ 50 is my budget, $ 50 is what I was quoted and that I need this done today. I’ve taken the time off work and in addition, and I’m sure they count on this, I’m under time restraints, with my parents coming to visit and a whole lot of furniture rearranging & projects to do that all rely on FIRST cleaning the carpets. This is really the only time I can get this done.
THEN the guy puts on a really good show of how he REALLY wants to do the job, but you know, in good conscience, can’t just do the basic cleaning. I tell him to just do the $ 50 cleaning but he refuses. You know, on PRINCIPLE. He goes through another whole show of calling his office to see if he can give me a break. Oh, gee, really?! Thanks, mister! He finally «goes down» to the price of $ 150, if I pay $ 100 in cash. Oh, wow, thanks for the price break of $ 150 when I was looking to pay $ 50 in the first place!!!
So what I’m thinking is that this guy probably is pocketing the $ 100 in cash and showing his bosses that he billed the $ 50 like originally advertised and quoted to me.
Unfortunately, since I was under time constraints, have a bad back preventing me from renting a machine & doing it myself and had rearranged my super busy schedule to get this done and I sucked it up and paid the $ 150.
The carpets looked great for about 2 weeks, until all the stains and leftover crap in the padding came seeping back up through the carpet and they look the same as before SOS saved my carpets. NOT.
I will NEVER EVER EVER use them again and if I can prevent another consumer from being scammed by them, I will be a happy camper.

their guys would convince you to get the deep cleaning, and if you don’t, they dont put shampoo on their water for that regular cleaning.

they are all about scamming you. They offer $ 25 rate, then up sale you as soon as they get to your house. Go rent your own cleaner and do it yourself. They have terrible customer service!!!

Dont EVER call this company to clean your floors. Not only did they schedule an 830am appointment on a Sunday and not show up until 11am, but the guy came totally unprepared and didn’t even have the proper supplies with him to clean our wood floors. He wanted to come back on Monday but after ruining our Sunday keeping us waiting for hours (the owner said there was a mistake in scheduling, despite us confirming the 830am time on Friday) there is no way we’d pay them to clean the floors. I am beyond upset that not only was my Sunday ruined due SOS Carpet Cleaning but now I have to start over and find another company that will show up and with the correct supplies. David the owner was completely rude when we called to advise of the situation and made it clear he didn’t care if we gave them the business or not. Truly a horrible company.

I was looking for a new carpet cleaning company and started looking on Google Search. They were able to make an appointment for the day and time I needed. They were also on time. I was quoted a price on the phone. There was a couple stains but they did not charge extra to remove them. I was surprised that they didnt try and upsell me. It seems to be a very common practice in the carpet cleaning business. I will call and use them again.

Oh why oh why did I not read the reviews here before trying to get these folks to clean my carpet. The whole operation was a bait & switch from the very beginning. I was quoted a price that was too good to be true. Then the folks came in and tried to convince me that I needed a different ‘deep cleaning’ which would cost way more. I refused and asked they do what they promised for the quoted price. So then the techs insisted that wouldn’t get the carpet clean and I need the extra services to get my carpet really clean (extra services = twice the quoted price). Then they said that they couldn’t even do the basic cleaning for the quoted price.
They use the classic bait & switch tricks–
1. They started measuring the rooms (pointless if a flat rate was quoted)
2 They started doing a demo on a small patch of carpet so the customer can ‘compare the cleaning methods’
3. When I complained they showed me receipts of how much other people were paying and how much better a deal I was getting if I took their offered discounts…
Wasted 1 hour of my time on a weekday before I kicked them out of my home.
STAY AWAY from these guys. Go with a reputed company or through a referral.

I went bargain hunting on the internet for a carpet cleaning special because I need a new roommate and I thought I could lure one of those in more easily if the carpets were clean. I was feeling very optimistic when I found a special at SOS for $ 49.95 for three rooms!
I should have followed the old saying «if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is» but, I hoped that with the economy in such a mess that companies would want to treat each customer the best they possibly can. Well, not this one.
They arrived on time and immediately told me the basic service was not going to keep my carpets clean. I was expecting this so, I simply informed him I couldn’t afford to spend any more but finally,
I asked how much more to actually get them clean and the carpet cleaner said «how much can you afford?»
Duh, $ 49.95 which is why I picked that special and your company…
Then he said we’ll we’re basically just going to vacuum. I asked if they were going to steam clean which they did but they probably wouldn’t be clean. Okay that’s fine, no biggie.
I confirmed on the phone when I set up the appointment that they would take cash or check. So the next question before starting was how are you going to pay? Check, I said. We don’t take checks. Credit? We only take cash for the basic service. Okay, then, why did you ask in the first place? I don’t have cash… You can go to the bank.
I’m not comfortable leaving you in my apartment while I go to the bank. We’ll follow you to the bank when we’re done.
Uh…okay but your boss told me you take checks.

I should’ve known that wasn’t long enough to do the job well. The carpets are still damp after nearly 12 hours and were dripping out onto the kitchen floor when I returned from the bank. I hope they don’t get moldy. Where by the way the driver of the van blocked not one but, two cars trying to get out of the parking lot of the ATM I used because they were in such a hurry to their next job that they couldn’t even turn off their van and park it in a space. Then, I asked for change because you know ATM’s only give you 20’s and then he asked aren’t you going to tip? I informed him I would’ve if I wouldn’t have had to waste my time and gas going to the bank when I had clarified in advance that they would take a check. He conveniently only had $ 8.00. Whatever, I was so steamed myself that I was happy to lose another $ 2.00 just so the cars would quit honking at them and I could be on my way home.
