Located in La Crescenta and Sunland we have two locations dedicated to delivering high quality private music lessons to students of all ages and all skill levels. We offer lessons in all popular instruments including piano, guitar, voice, violin and many more. Learning to play an instrument is a personal adventure. Foothills Music Academy is a positive, nurturing environment for learning music. Our personable, highly qualified instructors work with our students one-​on-​one to effectively develop their musical skills and help them to attain whatever goals they may set for themselves.

History

Established in 2011.

The idea of a music school came about from owners Sarah and Todd Garcia to create an environment where all instruments could be taught. Because of this they offer lessons for guitar, banjo, mandolin, trumpet, brass instruments, cello, drums, percussion, bass, harmonica, ukulele, piano, performance & composition, violin, voice, theory, vocals, accordion, viola, saxophone, clarinet, flute and more!

Foothills Music Academy is not only a place to take music lessons. It is so much more than that. It is a creative hub where students can share their love of music while developing new skills. It is a fun, relaxed and welcoming forum for diversity, expression and self-​transformation. Since opening we have been serving the community, and over 600 students have taken lessons at our school. While the benefits of musical education have been extensively researched and reported, there is also the benefit of life-​long enrichment. We believe that music has the power to change your life. Music has been a part of Sarah and Todd’s life for many years. They decided to open up a music school to allow the local community to share in their love of music. Running the business together as husband and wife they take a huge amount of pride in this family owned and operated business.
