Eliana is a hair lifesaver. After a VERY traumatizing experience at another salon, she transformed my hair in to silky, pretty loveliness. Worth the drive; I’m So happy with how my hair turned out.

The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxed, the hair technicians friendly and courteous, and Amanda did an incredible job with my sad and boring hair. She took her time with me, even knowing I had purchased a Groupon. Please remember to tip based on the regular price, whether you get their Groupon deal or the Unilocal deal – these ladies deserve to be compensated for their service!

Had a great first experience at this place a couple weeks ago. I found out about Alyx when I ran into an aquaintance who had a beautiful haircut. As a gal with very thick yet fine hair, I have been on the lookout for someone who would give me a great cut at a reasonable price and isn’t an hour drive away. The last stylist I found that I loved took a job too far away :(
Anyway it’s hard to find someone who knows how to cut a nice shape into my hair without charging an arm and a leg and acting like they are doing me a favor by dealing with my thick hair. They either cost way too much, or they don’t know what they’re doing, or they want to take shortcuts. When they whip out the thinning shears, I start to get queasy knowing this will be a gamble and I will likely have to get it re-​cut somewhere else. I need a good cut that will flatter my hair and last a long time, not a hack job. I’m not a cheapo, but I work hard for my $ and I don’t have a sugar daddy or an extra few hunded dollars to spend on my hair every few months mkay? I need that money for booze and clothes and Mexican food and weekend adventures and random Amazon shopping.
My friend has thicker hair than me, so I knew if she got such a great cut, maybe this miracle worker could whip my hair into shape. I asked her where she went and she told me she found a Groupon for Bangs and saw Alyx and gave me her number. Highly recommended by my friend.
Alyx was great to communicate with via call or text. She went out of her way to be flexible with offering different appnt times that worked with my schedule. The salon is cool and clean. Everyone there seemed nice and had a steady stream of happy clients on a weeknight, so that’s always a good sign. Alyx offered me a drink, listened to my ideas, helped with suggestions, gave me a great deal, A GREAT CUT that I love love triple love, and even helped me lighten it up a bit with some low maintenance baylayage. I was apprehensive about getting color because I have never had professional color before, but I had been doing my own color from boxes for a couple years to cover my greys and to spice things up, but it was not lookin so hot lately. The highlights turned out great though and I feel pretty again and the cut makes my hair lower maintenance which is awesome.
Alyx is a cool, genuine person. She made me feel so welcome and comfortable and I knew I was in good hands with her. She even told me about a delicious cheese made from almonds which I tried later and surprise surprise, ALYX WAS RIGHT ABOUT THAT TOO. So pretty much she is the best and is to be trusted in all areas of life, from hair color to almond cheese recommendations. She even took a nice before and after pic and texted it to me. Those are fun to see.
Someone else mentioned that they don’t pressure you to buy products, and I can attest to that. No pressure. Though I did go ahead and buy myself a fancy shampoo :) And then she gave me free samples too. Yessss.

Carly does my hair at Bangs salon. She always does something unique and specific to what you want. She’s friendly and very knowledgeable. I recommend her and the services there are well priced if you’re on a budget.

I honestly can not say enough good things about this salon and its staff. Actually I have been so happy with my hair that my husband, children, mother, in law and many of my friends now also get their hair, nails, waxing and other beauty services done here. I Have received more compliments on my hair than I can count. While I have been seeing Leanne for years I would be completely comfortable with anyone one of the Bangs stylists doing my hair and believe me when it come to my hair I am extremely picky.
Over the years I have done some drastic changes as well as maintenance visits and no matter what I am in for Leanne listens to what I want and then explains to me what the best process will be to keep my hair healthy and what the best «look» will be which is much appreciated. many salons I have been to in the past don’t care about the health of your hair and will just go ahead and put harsh color or bleach on it which damages and ultimately ruins it.
The staff is extremely professional, well kept up on the latest trends, color knowledge, and have I mentioned Extremely affordable.

Thanks to Courtney, I have the best hair cut I’ve had since before my son was born 5 years ago! She was kind, listened to what I wanted, and I absolutely love my hair!!!
Everyone in the salon was friendly and unpretentious… They were knowledgeable and also helpful, because I really didn’t have a solid idea of what I wanted.
I will be back!!! Especially because the location is about 5 minutes from home.

I have been getting my hair done by LeeAnn, the owner of bangs, for 18 years! LeeAnn is the most amazing stylist who ALWAYS ceases to amaze me with her professionalism, kindness and willingness to get the job done even if it means working a 14 hour day! Since opening Bangs she has hired stylists who mirror her work ethic and amazing craftsmanship. I admire here amazing work and willingness to make every client happy. I would recommend Bangs to anyone!

I have been going to bangs salon since day 1. Before Leeann opened bangs she still was my stylist for a couple years before that! I have sent more referrals than I can count, who In turn, send their referrals! Some referrals are people who have stopped me in public and just to ask where I get my color done! Seriously, her entire team is amazing!
Leeann keeps her team up to date on the latest and hottest trends with lots of training and seminars, but also hires stylists who respect the clients who might not want to change with the trends and just want to keep heir amazing hair the way it is from one appointment to the next!
So, you need a new look or a new stylist, Bangs is the place! It’s like home!

I’ve been going to this salon for almost a year and you’d think by spending a lot of time and money they’d be willing to help you when they screw up. I’ve spent probably almost 800 dollars at this salon only to be treated like complete and utter crap. I decided that I was going to get my hair dyed burgundy, knowing that this color is high maintenance and that it will fade quicker than most colors. I had dark brown so they had to lighten it to get the vibrancy that I was looking for. Three hours later and I was absolutely in love with the color. A few days later I took a shower and literally as soon as the water hit my hair the water was all red. The color quickly bled out of my hair. Though I was using color safe shampoo, it didn’t stop the color from fading. I decided I would give them a call to see if this was normal. I explained my entire situation to the lady only to be put on hold for a few minutes, then the owner answered the phone and I had to re explain the story because the girl obviously wasn’t understand my situation. The owner of the salon kept interrupting me only to put me on hold again for another few minutes, picked up, asked me what my last name was, and then the phone hung up. I let a few minutes pass by to see if someone would call me back and of course no body called me so I called them back. It was the first girl again and she told me that it was normal. Normal? I have had red hair and it never fell out THE FIRST DAY. So then I asked if they would fix it because obviously the stylist made a mistake and she said well you can come in for a gloss and hopefully it will stick better. So you guys messed up my hair, and then you’re going to have me pay more money for something that «hopefully» will do the job? Oh and the fact that I messaged my stylist about this before this whole phone fiasco, only to be ignored by her. So I decided I wasn’t going to give them another penny and I decided to go to another salon. I showed the stylist there my before, the picture she took of my hair lightened and then after. And she told me «of course the color just fell out, she lightened it way too much for that tone of red.» So basically Bangs Salon is all money hungry and doesn’t care to fix their problems that they cause. It would’ve been a cheap little fix, but that was just too much for their HUGE egos. So you definitely lost a loyal customer because you guys just refused to fix it.

First time customer. Was referred here by a co-​worker. I live in Bellevue and still made the drive to Sumner. I am so happy I did though!!!
Not only do I love my new cut, I can not wait to go back. Pricing is extremely reasonable and there is no pressure of buying the used product. Courtney listened to what I was looking for and acheived my vision. Definitely willing to make the drive again and again. Plus, the Main St. Sumner area is cute to walk around in and have lunch. Lots of cute antique stores.

Terrible. I went in to have my roots foiled and left with my hair dark on top and light on bottom. Manager was rude, I will never go back.

This was my first visit and I can say that I now have my new stylists! Brandie did an amazing job, she surpassed my expectations and I appreciate her taking the time to insure I was happy. Since my visit three hours ago, I’ve had two random compliments on my cut!

Another wonderful experience at Bangs Salon! I’ve been a «regular» for almost 4 years. The atmosphere is so friendly. LeeAnn is amazing and always takes the time to explain how to style my new cut. I have never left disappointed!

This is my first time ever getting my hair done at Bangs Salon and it was great! I had Karly cut and color it. I asked for a rich chocolate brown all over hair color and it was exactly what I wanted! I came in with my hair damaged, tangled, and needed life. She definitely resurrected it for sure! Although I had very long hair (few inches below the chest), it was a bit shorter than I expected after the cut, but I still love it. Thank you!

Karly is freakin’ awesome. She made me feel beautiful and totally accepted. I think she was a wee bit more excited about my metamorphosis than I was. Her spirit and dedication are absolutely great to be around. I have found my new stylist, indefinitely!!! I cannot thank her enough!
Bangs has a great atmosphere. Friendly (and encouraging) staff. There’s no judgement, which is important to me as a larger woman, from any of the staff. Everyone was fantastic. The chairs are comfortable. The prices are phenomenal. I cannot say enough just how great this place is.

I got my hair done here for the first time by Chelsea and I will be coming back! As soon as I sat down in her chair she gave a GREAT consultation giving me ideas, tips and suggestions on what would be good for my hair. It felt like such a sigh of relief feeling like I was in the hands of a true hair professional who is so knowledgeable about what’s trending today with color techniques, cuts, styles, etc. I have mixed girl curls, so it was also comforting to feel like she knew what she was doing with my hair type and not looking at it sideways with confusion on how to work with it as some stylists have done in the past. On top of all of this she is great to talk to while you’re getting your hair done, but doesn’t talk so much to where you can’t relax and enjoy the experience. I left that salon feeling like a million bucks because of how great my hair looked and STILL looks. She gave me exactly what I asked for, ‘Effortless hair that I don’t really have to fuss too much with in the morning.” I SO recommend this salon and Chelsea as a stylist. I know I will be coming back to her because I found my new hair stylist!

Getting my hair done here for the first time and I’m sold. LeeAnn did my hair and I was extremely impressed. I’ve had the same hair style since 1999 and today she talked me into something else, thank you for that. I love it when my hair makes me feel beautiful and believe me it does. After she was done today I booked my four girls and me to come get our hair done before our family photos in two weeks. Not only did I get a great cut, color and style LeeAnn bought me a cup of coffee. Thank you, I can’t wait to get the girls hair done too!

Chelsea did my highlights and did a great job. Her haircut was nice too. Definitely recommend this salon.
