Backdrop Lounge

Nestled within the chic Studio City Boulevard Hotel is a hidden gem of a bar — Backdrop Lounge. As a long term hotel guest (due to the Porter Ranch Gas crisis), I quickly doubled as a very frequent patron during my stay! Krystal, the bar manager, runs an awesome program to ensure everyone’s relaxation and enjoyment. Whether it’s her weekly Wednesday movie night with drink specials and complimentary popcorn or the daily 5 – 7 PM Happy Hour, a good time is certainly guaranteed. To all sports minded guys out there… She will amaze you with her sports knowledge! If you are a movie aficionado, she will not disappoint either. Along with Denise and Hannah, they make up a fun loving team of gracious hostesses. Two large flat screens encompass a spacious seating area and the bar. Whether you are a hotel guest or a local in the mood for a drink at a relaxing atmosphere without the massive crowd noise, this is the place to be. As a guest, I have met many locals at this bar. This is the best endorsement! You know the ‘ol saying…“go where the locals go”. In town on business or pleasure, or a local, hope to see many of you out here very soon!

Favorite hidden gem! Whenever I am in the LA area I have to stop by this place to have a good drink. The bartender Krystal makes these really tasty infused liquors (my fave is usually her tequila). You can tell she knows a thing or two about alcohol beverages. Such a great bartender. Will listen and genuinely converse with her patrons. Such a sweet soul.

Ended up finding this place after an unfortunate series of events. They had the Kings on tv and the rest is (good) history.
Krystal makes some great drinks and knows her hockey. I saw the 2014 Final (Go Kings!) and last weeks NFL playoff games here. Ive even been to a couple of movie nights. It is always a good time. It helps Krystal always has some cool drinks prepared.
I dont live in the area but whenever I am in that neck of the woods, I have a habit of stopping by. If you are staying at the hotel or in Studio City looking for a fun, chill place to have a drink or 2, this is the spot to hit up.

We love this bar! My boyfriend and I drop by now and then since we had our first date here years ago. It’s a lovely and welcoming lounge bar in the BLVD hotel right off the 101.
Krystal is a rockstar bartender and makes a lot of the infused liquors in house. Try the Brentwood Boss — lavender and cucumber perfection! They also do fun things like Movie Night. Tonight they have $ 5 beers, $ 6 signature cocktails, free popcorn and Mad Max!
Stop in for a cozy cocktail. Or two. :)
