Not a bad seat in the house. I was here for Unilocal’s Tahoe Getaway(YTG) 2015, and figured I might as well check out a free show if there was one. I checked the events calendar and voila ~ Kenny Chesney & Jason Aldean tribute band would play Saturday night. The only catch was signing up for their Hard Rock Hotel & Casino rewards card(aka backstage pass); otherwise, there’s a cover charge of $ 10 to enter. Pretty cool looking card with a handy-dandy wristlet. If anything, it’s a nice keepsake. Staff are super friendly and welcoming. The rockin’ band Left of Centre is a Rock/Country band based out of Reno, Nevada. They are the house band at Toby Keith’s «I Love This Bar and Grill» in Las Vegas, Nevada. The timing was perfect this particular weekend due to YTG. We had an amazingly good time. Can’t wait to come back to this venue and catch a free show. Be sure to check the calendar, as some performances aren’t free.

Came here to see the English Beat perform. I ordered tickets directly on the phone — Will Call, by the way, is inside the Hard Rock store selling all their t-shirts. Ooookay. There was no signage anywhere that was easy to spot to find out where Will Call was and 2 out 3 staff we asked were clueless. The inside of the venue was weird. When I asked about booking the $ 35 reserved seats, they said they were already sold out and only $ 25 general admission tix were available. That night we only saw a row of conference chairs that lined up against the wall and plus a few high bar tops for some chairs around them. Well, at least I saved $ 10 per ticket. There was a tiny«mobile» bar(and by that, it was not a permanent structure). A rum and coke cost $ 8. I’ve seen the English Beat perform numerous times, and I think this was the worst audio that I have heard. Not sure if it was their fault or the club’s. Pretty awful.

For a free show I guess I shouldn’t complain. Lots of comments from just about everyone in attendance. Sound guy just could not get the lead vocals right, so much distortion it forced most out with one song. You can’t bring in drinks purchaed at the entrance bar and those bartender don’t tell you. Not what you would expect from a supposedly experienced management company.
