Jiffy Lube

I don’t normally review– in fact, this my first.
Today is the day of the blizzard– 2016
I went out to gas up my car and fill up my tires, but all gas stations I went to, their air pumps were down.
As a last resort I stopped at the Jiffy Lube on Backlick Rd. (I was ready to bribe, my left front tire was low and I have a 4×4)
Jiffy was busy, but Joseph met me at the counter immediately– I explained my dilemma, & Joseph had me drive around to the bay where he checked all my tires, filled them up & replaced to missing caps… All free of charge. (my left front tire was down to 11 out of 33 psi
I cannot express my gratitude enough–
I didn’t even need to tell him that one of the reasons I needed my vehicle is my father in law is being released from the hospital today, and in case of emergency, I need to be able to get him back there.
They have earned a new customer– and a loyal one at that

I have come to this same location for many years and they are always nice and courteous. I have dealt with Jose several times and he is always knowledgeable and has a smile.

The gentlemen working were super nice and I liked that they did not try to force me to buy anything extra unlike the usual car places (*cough* the people across the street *cough*). Definitely my best experience with oil changes and I will absolutely be coming back here. I really appreciated the superb customer service here, thanks guys!

I have been going to this Jiffy Lube location for years. The last 2 times I’ve gone I have been very disappointed. I was told that they topped off all my fluids (coolant, wiper fluid, etc) but I saw they were empty when I got home! Both times! Also, there were 2 employees having an altercation in plain view of everyone in the waiting room. They were yelling in each other’s faces and throwing off their jackets like they were getting ready to fight. A few of us started talking about how unprofessional it was. But no other employees broke up the argument. While paying for my oil change and «fluid top off» I mentioned that there seemed to be some drama going on. The employee told me that it happens every day. I will be choosing another location from now on.

This was my second time visiting this location. The first time it was raining and this time it was very cold and windy. They greeted me with an umbrella when it was raining and hustled me inside this time saying, «let’s get you out of the cold, ma’am.»
Proof that chivalry isn’t dead.
They do a great job of explaining what services in addition to your oil change that you should consider having done-​without forcefully up-​selling.
They also informed me of a leak that I had and advised me how quickly I should have it looked at.
I highly recommend this location for their quality work and excellent customer service.

Visited this location early last month. (11÷6÷14) Let me start from the top here. I was planning on purchasing a K&N air filter because I was aware my filter probably needed replacement, and as it turned out it did require replacement. An advanced auto parts was right next door. I thought, «Why don’t I walk on over and purchase it and have them put it in there for me?» Recently purchased car by the way so I hadn’t had the time to figure out how to change the filter myself. When I suggested this to the gentleman that was helping me he chirped. «Sure I’ll just charge you a $ 5 installation fee.» Aggravated by this I muttered, «Never mind,» as I thought to myself you have to put the old one back in anyway… When my car was pronounced to be ready to go, it was pulled out for me. I first noticed that my driver side window was left down the entire time of my first oil change. Yes, my first oil change in this vehicle. Also my first time at one of your establishments. As I rolled up the window I could tell that it was not clean (ed). Later that day I also noticed that the carpet directly behind the driver seat was not properly vacuumed. I’m guessing they knew when I sat in the driver seat, I wouldn’t look at the carpet floor directly behind me. They were correct. That isn’t the purpose for this email here’s the kicker. Around the 22^nd of November I was looking at the sticker for the next service mileage… I realized that the windshield sticker stated 83,785m and my car was currectly at 75,637. That’s over 8,000 miles away!!! Infuriated remembering the quility of service I recieved and now this? I spoke with Simon. I’m guessing the manager of your establishment, who told me to come by sometime tomorrow to fix the issue. Simon came over and apologized for the issue, took my reciept to fix the issue on the computer. While one of his assoiates came over and said it was just 600 miles off, then scurried back in the bay. Simon then came back and said the issue was fixed and monotonously said, «Have a good day.» Infuriated once again. Just because I’m from Texas is NOT an oppurtunity for employees to slack off on customer service or quility of service. Little did they know I had just come back from a trip to Tennessee and put over a thousand miles on my car. Unlike the employees in this jiffy lube establishment I’m am not a fan of guesstimating. Instead of having jiffy lube replace my oil just for the peace of mind of knowing my oil chance maintense schedule is correct, I googled a valvoline. I told them what happened and they weren’t surpried. I’ve been a long time valvoline customer. I thought I could save some time by having my oil changed at jiffy lube right by my office on calamo and backlick but instead it only costed me more time, money, frustration, and gave me another headache only two weeks later. Two minutes after sending the email, I was contacted by Dana via email. Offering their sincerest apologies for the incident, and that my email forwarded to S.T. Lube, inc. the company that owns and operates this location. I’ll post/​edit this review when/​if they follow up.

I want to start off my review of this Jiffy Lube saying the two most important things: the service was polite and the whole process took about 20 minutes… painless.
I called before showing up and was greeted by the Assistant Manager Carlos who was quite nice about answering my many questions about the wait, price, how long it would take, etc. He assured me that I would have enough time and not be rushed to show up at 6:15pm even though they closed at 7pm on a weekday.
From the time I got there and pulled around back to the time that they pulled my car out of the bay and opened our doors for us, I received good service. They did the thing that every oil change place does and asked me if I wanted to replace my air filter or windshield wipers but those are just extras they try to sell you on… recognize that and move on.
The customer waiting area could use a deep cleaning and an upgrade. The one small TV in there kept cutting out every 30 seconds. I didn’t have to endure all that for long because they were done with the oil change service in a flash!

Pros:
–Courteous (except the manager)
Cons:
–Did not check tire pressure like they said. Another customer made the same complaint so I wanted to verify the pressure myself and sure enough confirmed their dishonesty.
–Did not tighten up after the oil change and ¼ of the oil has leaked out on to my driveway.
–They couldn’t open up the air filter box to check it. 3 guys huddled around and tried to forcibly pry it open. I couldn’t watch it any longer and asked them to stop.
–The manager is always mean muggin
I will not be returning. I simply cannot trust these amateurs to work on my vehicles.

Great service but for some reason they always try to sale you more service than needed… Last time I went though I was pretty much being forced to do one of their service (which I didn’t) the so called «manager kept saying I have to do the service or else my car will break down and as we’ll he didn’t seem reliable cause he kept saying if money is an issue ill drop it down made me feel very uncomfortable and awkward at the same time!!!

Always great service. Workers are friendly, honest, quick, and hospitable. They treat your car with care and as with typical Jiffy Lube they explain everything when there’re done. All the family cars go here. Keep it up guys!

Usually I don’t have trouble saying «no» to people, especially when some sales person tries to offer me some extra service. Nevertheless, I have had pretty good luck with Jiffy Lubes in the past. This Jiffy Lube seems basic, but here’s what I liked the most: the location itself is not that hard to get into and out of, and the attendants were quick, friendly, and responsive,. The person at the front gave me updates and easy-​going and informative. They took a little longer than they had originally estimated, but it was a busy Saturday, and that was a given. I’ve been in other locations with fancier waiting areas, but there was a TV and coffee and plenty of seats, so I was content. I am sure that I will go there again after my next 5000 miles, basically because I’m a creature of habit.

Good place for a reliable and relatively inexpensive oil change. Employees are friendly and helpful. Pretty efficient as well.

This place provides the standard Jiffy Lube services that you should expect. Nothing fancy and not wrong. Go here for a quick and cheap oil change.
