Established in 1990.

Starting a cleaning revolution since 1990. When Glenn Barfell came to San Diego to start a carpet cleaning business in 1990, he did not like how the cleaning world approached carpet cleaning. Besides leaving dirty residues and carpets that just did not look clean or stay clean, the cleaners were making very little money for the amount of work they had to do. With help from a chemist friend, they figured out a way to clean carpets faster and better while using about 1⁄10th of the water that traditional extractors were using. This unique chemistry and equipment became the original encapsulation revolution. Soon many manufacturers came out with their own version of carpet cleaning encasulators, but none have surpassed our original formulation that leaves your carpets clean AND dry in about 30 minutes. The proof in our process is that we have been doing it successfully for over 20 years, and have thousands of satisfied, loyal customers!

I had rapid dry clean my 1 bdr 1 ba apartment for $ 100, which was relatively cheap compared to the other carpet cleaners I asked for quotes on. The two men that came were right on time, and were okay with me leaving to take my dog out while they were cleaning. I had 3 huge stains on my carpet 2 from my puppy who had some trouble with potty training, and one from hydraulic fluid coming off my husbands boots (he works on helicopters so you can only imagine the gunk on his boots!) they got it out and I was very happy! Granted, the carpet didn’t dry in 30 minutes, but I wasn’t too concerned about it.

The pros is that the 2 guys that did the work did a great job. They were on time, courteous and did a nice job on the carpets. So, based on this I would’ve given 5 stars… however…
The con is that it is not «rapid dry.» I only had 3 area rugs and the guy on the phone said it would take 30 – 60 minutes to dry. This was important because I have two kids and I didn’t want them unable to use their bedroom and the main living room area. It has been 3 hours and the rugs are very wet.
The most disturbing part is that when my husband called, the guy on the phone said he told me it could take several hours. Not the case. If I knew it would take several hours I would’ve opted to go with someone else or forgo doing it until after the summer. They lose 2 stars for the customer service from the guy in the office and for saying it dries quicker than it does. Let’s just be honest. Tell people how long it really takes.

I found Rapid Dry while I was researching the Groupon carpet cleaners on Unilocal.Even though those other places had ridiculously low prices, I could tell that I’d probably be wasting money and possibly trading my dirty carpet for a gross carpet.
After noticing Rapid Dry’s sponsored ad at the top of my search results and its accompanying reviews, I decided to give them a whirl. I expected a clean carpet, but I got an added bonus: customer service.
It’s so sad that I almost just don’t expect it anymore. When making the appointment, the guy on the other end of the line was personable and hilarious. I was easily able to get the time I needed.
The guys who showed up at my door 15 minutes early, (a blessing unless you’re still hurtling your shoes into the bathroom from your bedroom closet), were incredibly professional and polite, and didn’t even blanch at going over a couple of corners I thought could use more care.
They managed to lift some atrocious looking stains from my living room carpet with no trouble or additional cost. They noted on the invoice that they left behind some stains on the carpet, but I have to strain to find any.
These guys work hard to maintain their positive reputation.

I recently hired Rapid Dry to clean my carpets. I checked them out online and also read the reviews here on Unilocal.The prior company I used several times worked hard and did a fine job, but the carpets were damp for 3 days after. I wanted to try a service that uses a process that doesn’t leave the carpet so wet. The employees were prompt and courteous. We realized that one section of carpet did not get fully clean so we contacted Rapid Dry to see if they would try to remove the stain once more. Not only did they agree to, they came out the same day! The stain happened to be coffee with creamer which, as it turns out, is a difficult one to remove. Except for that one section in a bedroom (which definitely improved but did not fully come out), the rest of our carpet looks great. I will use this company again.

Love Rapid Dry!
Ive used them several times at my apartment. Theyve managed to remove stinky pets stains, high traffic marks, food spillage.
Not only are these guys prompt, they’re fast and do a great job and make sure youre happy! The carpet isnt soaked with chemicals or water. They clean the carpet and viola! Carpet can be walked on within minutes. Another positive and non-​hassle thing to worry about.

On time, professional, clean carpet!
2 guys showed up right on time with their Rapid Dry truck.
They cleaned my carpets including a closet (which didn’t cost
extra like some companies). I have 6 cats, and had various colors of spit up, pee, and other stains all over the carpets.
Now it looks like new! Their product is animal-​friendly, and dries in 1 hour. They even left me a whole bottle of spot-​remover.
