I came here with a group of 11 people and most of us ordered phở. I was not impressed with the service or the food. The phở broth was salty and the small size did not have a lot of noodles. My friends ordered other rice dishes and the meat portions were tiny. Over all, the price to portion was very small and seemed more like a snack than a dinner. The service was also extremely slow when it came to paying the bill. I won’t be coming back to this location.

We discovered this little place a few months ago and we love it. I always get the Phở with raw beef and my hubby gets the Pad Thai. The food is always fresh, the portions size is good and the food is yummy. The egg rolls are also very good. The owner is really nice, and grateful to have the business. We have gotten it to go a few times and they do a great job with to go orders.

This is the worst Vietnamese restaurant have ever eaten at! When it first opened I wanted to try it because it was the only phở restaurant in spring valley. I was expecting the food to blow my mind, but ended up very disappointed! I tried the phở and it felt like you could of made the soup with a packet of ramen noodle! It had no flavor what so ever! I’ve tried Their food and it is nasty and the price is a rip off! The place is nice and the service is good, but the food is gross! If I can give no stars I would!

Came here last night and was delightfully surprised at how good the Phở broth was. Their only downfall was that they ran out of rice paper to make spring rolls with. I really wanted spring rolls so I ordered their egg rolls which were tasty. They are scolding hot so give em a minute before biting into them.

This place is very good. Everything is very fresh and flavorful. The only thing is the portions are a little small for the price. I was going to rate a 3, but since the service is good and everyone is so pleasant, I gave a 4. We will be back.

I saw the reviews for this place and was in the area so I thought I would stop by. I think I had high expectations and I was severely disappointed. My husband and I ordered the BBQ pork banh mi, the egg rolls, and chicken pad thai. The BBQ banh mi was not your average size, little small. The pork was extremely fatty. I posted a picture and that is only half of the fat in the sandwich. There was a BBQ sauce that poured out of the sandwich and there was an odd flavor to it. One of my favorite items from any Vietnamese restaurant is the egg rolls. I love them. The egg rolls at this place were odd as well and had a really sour taste. I usually love the fish sauce that is served with it but this sauce had no flavor and was just gross. The chicken pad thai was odd(again). While the chicken was decent and seemed to only be chicken breast meat the rest was kind of disappointing. There was again and odd taste and we requested a level five spiciness and received what I would consider a nine. I love spicy food and usually order a seven at chinese, Vietnamese and Thai restaurants, but this five was ridiculous. Out of all the items ordered I would not reorder any. The pictures of the spring get rolls look good so I might give them another try however I will be careful what I order from here.

I picked my brother up from down the street and he wanted Vietnamese food. I guess this place just opened up and it was super clean as soon as we walked in. They definitely have a variety of Vietnamese food here! Which is a very good think instead of just serving phở and rice plates. Surprisingly the prices are cheap than most other places! My brother ordered #1 phở and I ordered #22 stir noodles. I normally get it fried noodles but it didn’t come out that way, miscommunication. BUT it was still good the way it was. Staff is super nice and adorable. I believe the owner or cook is also very friendly and nice. All I kept seeing was laughter and smiles, especially with customers. It’s a rainy day and they were busy! Literally every table was filled, some people had to wait outside. It may have seemed that they were under staff today, but all the employees did their best any ways they could. I saw the slight struggle while I was waiting for my food but they managed to pull through. The owner doing his best to cook but also take care of the customers who are sitting down eating. Coming out to double check if everything is good with everyone and also taking the time to make small talk. Two other boys did their best to keep things flowing on this busy rainy day for them. I realized the one of the glasses looked lost at times(can’t blame him with a full house going on) BUT I also saw that he was trying hard and his best. A+ for that guys effort! Food was super good! I’m glad this place opened up with a lot of variety to choose from than most places. The first time I came here, I order the stirred fried noodles because it’s literally my favorite Vietnamese dish. But it didn’t turn out the way I wanted and it was still good! This time I came back and ordered the same thing. and it was on point! The owner had remembered who I was and the fact that he did after probably 3 months, it’s impressive since I’ve only been there once. He makes small talk and connections with his customers and that’s a plus! Definitely recommended people to come here and try this place out. Best of luck with your restaurant!

After finally giving into all the noise I heard about how great this new spot in Case de Oro is, I finally decided to give it a try. Got here around 6pm on a weekday and to our surprise, it was actually pretty busy. Personally, I think that’s a great sign. Busy or not, we were welcomed with a smile and seated. Service was quick and very kind. My friend and I both ordered the rare steak phở and shared the crispy egg rolls. The crispy egg rolls weren’t the best I’ve ever had, but they were piping hot, which is what I like. The phở however, was DELICIOUS! It was hot from start to finish and not too oily or watered down like some broths tend to be. Their Thai tea was also delicious and cooled the burns. My only complaint is that my water glass had something floating in it and instead of the waiter replacing it after I had asked him to, he explained that they have limes in their pitcher. I wanted to believe him so I tried my friends water and there was no hint of lime. So during dinner we had one glass of water to share since he didn’t just replace it for me.

I really enjoyed the Phở rare steak and the Boba Smoothie(Green Tea Boba). Server was overwhelmed(Just 1 Server). I would normally give 3 stars due to the service but server was very respectful and courteous. The food is very good. I would come back again.

It’s a cold for San Diego kinda day and everyone you know including yourself is under the weather. What is the first type of food that comes to mind? You guessed it… PHO!!! There’s just something about it that makes everything better. I was searching for a legit Vietnamese phở place in east county and I’ve driven past here a few times and never been able to try it out until today. I’ve always dined in at phở and never thought to take it to go. I recommend calling ahead so you’re not waiting forever. Two gentleman packed up our order. I ordered the veggie & tofu phở and my husband got the rare steak phở. Of course no order is complete without spring rolls and their peanut sauce. They also provide a kids menu which we got our son a chicken teriyaki with white rice and veggies: broccoli and carrots to be exact. Lately, we’ve been talking about boba drinks and this place actually has a wide variety of flavors so I got the honeydew melon with tapioca and a cherry on top to go. All was super fresh, packed nicely, and the customer service was superb. Next time we can dine in when not sick or in a hurry.

Phở has always been my favorite dish. This place is superior to most other Phở restaurants, because they don’t use MSG! MSG is a harmful neurological toxin that can contribute to cognitive decline and major digestive dysfunction. It is rare to find a restaurant like this one. The process of making Phở, without MSG takes longer and therefore is avoided by most other restaurants. These guys truly care about the health of the customer. Their ancestral cooking techniques create a superior product that has your health in mind. I wouldn’t eat phở anywhere else. You shouldn’t either.

Having grown up on the East Side of San Jose; Vietnamese food is a perennial favorite of mine. San Diego has a different take on it, leaving me a little in the want category, to the extent we just didn’t go out for. Tucked away on a side street we rarely travel is a Phở Grill international. You’d be easy to mistake it for just another Phở spot — the trend in things around SD the last few years. But you’d be mistaken. It’s a clean, well let spot, service is fast, but the food is beyond expectations. Far beyond. The menu has typical fair, but also some items not found at other phở places: Fried Tofu, soft shell crab, and a variety of soft drinks reminiscent of the old days(for me). The food is good — very good, presented well, and pretty quick. Service is very friendly: both times the Chef came out to ask us about our food, remark on our choices, both in how he developed them and a curious question or two about our taste. It shows he pays attention. In addition, they make a Vietnamese Coffee that’s better than anything I’ve had in years. Off the beaten path, but very worth the side trip.

Solid 4 star overall. I’m so glad Phở finally made it to east county! I was starting to think it wasn’t going to happen, but… Well let me start off by saying that the softshell crab appetizer was so amazing, 5 star on that appetizer! I also ordered my typical Phở meatball, which I thought was good, not great. Fried egg rolls which I also felt was good not great. Service was friendly and attentive. The ambiance was simple with just some music in the background. The place is about average Phở restaurant size, nothing to spectacular to mention décor wise. It’s very easy to get to located just off the 94 freeway. I will be back for the softshell crab, and to see if I can find anymore hidden gems on the menu. Happy eating!!!

Excellent! Just excellent! Great food, great service, great prices! This place is family owned and I’m so glad they opened so close to us! Fresh ingredients! Their phở is soooo fresh, you can’t go wrong! My current favorite is the #7 chicken phở. It was amazing! The broth is to die for on its own with out any toppings! We go often and we love it. The cook is also the owner and he cares about his customers! We’re definitely going to be long term customers!!!

Probably the best option for Vietnamese in east county, but definitely not the best in SD. According to hubby, their BBQ Korean style ribs are the best. We’ve been here half a dozen times and there is always something on the menu that they are out of. So ordering goes a little like this«just tell me what you DO have and I’ll choose from there». I’m a sucker for good customer service, which they do provide. Very attentive and aim to please. Unless I feel like driving all the way to little Saigon area, this is our to-go spot.

Scored on some great eats at this new Vietnamese Eatery. After a near by visit at my mother’s house, and powering done an Americano at a near by Stardbucks, I noticed a grand opening sign outside of this place as I was driving by, so I made a quick u-turn and decided to have breakfast here. For breakfast, I ordered the panko breaded calamari for $ 4.75 and the Char Broiled Pork and Egg Roll Bún for $ 8.50. The panko crusted calamari was great. The panko breading was very nice and a great choice. I liked that is was crispy yet softer as I got near the sweet calamari meat inside. The calamari was very well prepared and remained very tender. The served it with sweet and sour sauce or a chili aioli and both were good. At $ 4.75 and with the large pieces of calamari, this was a very good deal. The Bún was good. I liked the crispy egg rolls with ground pork and vegetables. They tasted very good and came with a very good amount of filling. The Charbroiled pork was good, but I just wish there were more of it. A couple of more pieces would of been just perfect. The pork had a very nice crispiness and tenderness. It was a preformed type pork roll which also provided some very good seasoning. The Bún came with a lot of vermicelli, Romain, sprouts, and fresh mint, and most important of all, a nice little pile of crushed peanuts on top. I added a little fish sauce and a generous amount of soy and I was ready to roll. Service was pretty good at front, but they initially made me the wrong dish, which was no biggie since I was not in a hurry. I ate the calamari while I waited for them to re fire my meal. A little mistake, that I am sure will get worked out as they progress. Oh yes, I would recommend they do not burn incense in the place, so that the scent does not interfere with the foods aroma.
