The restaurant is small, unattractive, the service is slow and the front door slams every time someone uses it. However, it has that hole in the wall charm(if you re looking for that) and the phở was very good. So good in fact. Im willing to disregard all complaints prior. I’ll be bach

Okay this place is definitely awesome ! It’s a little hole in the wall restaurant, very small. But the food is amazing. I got the P20 without tofu and it was great. Fresh broccoli, carrots, and celery(along with other yummy veggies) were in my phở which I was surprised to see. Staff was very welcoming and friendly as well. Glad I stumbled upon this place, I will definitely be coming back.

This corner location has seen several transformations since the donut shop days. The first time I tried to check this place out they were barely open and only had a few items on a hot table, none of which were if interest to me. Another time I called to inquire on catering an order of eggrolls, which I do at least once a month. They weren’t willing to give me a bulk price, instead suggested I order as many 6 piece eggrolls from the appetizer menu at $ 5.95. At nearly $ 1 roll that is double what I pay for a 100+ party tray in the«Little Saigon» area. I still wanted to check their food out, so stopped by with the Rainbow Tribe kids for lunch during school break. First of all, they are remodeling. Gone are the days of the hot tray with lights. It now looks like a tiny restaurant that seats maybe 20 people. With that said, this was probably one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. The 6 of us were crammed into 1 table, although their were only 2 other people in the place. We were constantly playing musical chairs with our drinks, the napkin & condiment holder and plates. Construction was going on while we were ordering and eating. If the kids weren’t «starving to death» as they put it, I would’ve left. The sound of metal on a table saw screeching 5 feet from you is like nails on a chalkboard times 100. Then there was the hammering and banging. Construction crews wear earplugs… W(why)TF would you schedule this during lunch hour with patrons sitting feet away? The sound was so deafening we literally could not hear ourselves talk half the time and spent our whole meal alternating hands as we ate, covering our ear with the other. Then, there was the jackass that kept going in and out of the front door and propping it open, literally 2 feet from our table seated right in the middle on the coldest, rain day in December. No matter how many times I got up to close the door, he kept propping it open as if pushing the door was slowing him down. I could see if he was carrying things and needed his hands free, but that wasn’t the case. He was just plain lazy. We all sat there freezing to death with our coats on trying to eat. Speaking of food, we ordered eggrolls and 3 types of stir-fry. Kids love meat and veggies, but we were all thrown off that we literally got the exact same dish albeit different proteins. It had good flavor but the meat to veggie proportion was very skimp, more like 10 – 90. In my tofu selection, I received exactly 3 small triangular cuts of tofu. Even looking back at our pictures I had a hard time identifying the plates because of the absence of chicken or seafood. We also only received a small portion of rice, about an ice cream scoop size. The eggrolls were delicious and its a shame they don’t want to offer them for party platters. After feeling a migraine coming on with the noise I decided to pack up our food to go. We had enough stir-fry leftover to fill a large takeout box, but I had to buy a side of rice at $ 3 box. The lady working the register was nice and friendly. She apologized for the noise. But it was too late– I had a full on headache by the time I got to the car and had to sit a while before getting on the road. Overall, I’d be willing to give this place another try but only on three conditions: 1) after construction is completed 2) would not recommend for groups of 3 or more people 3) Don’ expect any meat in the rice dish

This place is great! Very small establishment so get there when it’s not busy. The service is great and the food is not expensive. I’d much rather go here when you end up paying around the same for crappy fast food. This place is PHO-real!

Me and my boyfriend went here because we wanted phở on a rainy night. We were scared to try this phở spot because it is at a pretty random location by a gas station, Hookah Lounge, and other little shops. But it was yummy! The place was very clean and organized. It’s small and you can tell it is family owned. We ordered the chicken wings, egg rolls, number 1 and number 3. Everything was Yummy! The chicken wings are similar to Royal Mandarins salt and pepper wings but with a different twist. The food came out pretty quick and it tasted fresh like it just came off the stove! There wasn’t a lot of people there eating but a lot of people came in for to go orders, one after another! I would definitely come back here! The prices were worth it and it is close to where we live!

I usually get phở in City Heights, but I was around Spring Valley and found this phở shop. I decided to take a chance to try it out. I ordered a small phở dac biet, which is their special that has all of the meat. I didn’t expect it to be so big for a small, but they definitely didn’t let me down! It was delicious.

Stopped in for a quick lunch. I love my Phở and this place has a great menu with a specialized Vegetarian section. The menu is a bit large at first glance and makes me want to try out many different dishes. I will likely be back to do so.

Service:5 Food quality: 4.5 Sanitation: 4 Location:3 This is one of my fav phở place in San Diego. Everything here are well made and fresh. The owner and employees are very friendly. They have limited on menu which is okay because they can focused on master there food more. I love there noodles with pork and shrimps. There phở is excellent that you must try. Over all 4 on sanitation because of the location of the restroom is close so if people like me don’t mind than you should care. Location is a little hectic because it next to a gas station so it limited on parking also. Over all it an excellent place and the employees are very friendly.

True diamond in the rough! I ordered the shrimp stir fry noodles and it was amazing! The price is extremely reasonable. The only complaint I have is the place is tiny so seating isn’t ideal which makes it very crowded. We will be coming here more often !

I placed in order online, I was told my order will be done in 15min. 15min later I go to pick up my order, I was told by the guy cashier to hold on, as I was waiting he rudely says have a sit buddy and help the lady next to me without letting me knows what’s going on with my order. Bad customer service. Never will I give this restaurant my business

Very pleased to have a phở place by me in Spring Valley. I’ve been going here for a good 6 months now and can honestly say they are quite good. Sometimes the broth is a bit too gingery for my tastes and sometimes their chicken wings taste a bit freezer burned. Other than that, love them and so happy they’re in the area. I posted pics of their menu since it’s not up yet. If you live in SV and like phở, check these guys out.

I probably eat here between once or twice a week. It’s easy, light and consistently delicious. I always get their spring rolls and the vermicelli noodles with grilled shrimp and marinated beef. What ever marinade they use is so delicious it’s sweet and tangy and compliments the dish so well. The phở is also good, although I’ve had better. But for being so close to my home it will do. The staff is extremely nice. Every time I call they know my order which is nice. They definitely make an effort to get to know you. This place is a regular for me and my family.

So lucky to have a good phở restaurant right by my place! I always have the large P5, but I’ve also tried other items in the menu and they’ve all been very delicious. Fast service and friendly staff.

My family including my two young boys come here at least once every week or two. Everything is so fresh and top-notch. My boys stick with the meatball or shrimp phô. I like the rare steak phô and a very simple and perfectly prepared chicken phô on those days when you feel a cold coming on. Magic. I have tried at least 15 different items on the menu and I am always very pleased. The customer service is extraordinary and we always feel very welcomed and even share a few laughs with the staff. They always remember what my boys want and make them feel special. The egg rolls are a must with each visit. There are only a few places in Spring Valley where you can get great quality food prepared with skill and this is definitely one.

I was so happy to see a Phở restaurant open in the area. Well I was wrong… I love Phở so much! I can’t wait to order it. On top of me ordering a Large Chicken Phở and getting home to notice, I was brought a small was the first straw. If you do decide to try it, check your order before leaving. Now to the Chicken Phở; the Chicken was slice thin instead of pulled. I didn’t like it and the noodles weren’t cooked enough! So… bottom line I want be going back again.

There really aren’t alot of phở restaurants in east county so we thought we’d check this place out. I was really impressed. I got the large p7, which is basically a massive bowl of delicious exotic meats and phở. I’m still new to this whole cuisine but I’ve really taken a liking to it. My wife got the egg rolls and a pork plate, everything was good. I’ll def be going back. Some of the other posts commented on the seating and that’s true. It’s real small once you get inside but it wasn’t overly packed for us so wasn’t really a problem.

Who knew there was a Phở restaurant in Sring Valley, this place was a pleasant surprise. Rare steak phở and a side of meatballs is a killer combination. According to my companion, the boba was delicious. Overall this is a good place to get phở of you are in the area. The place is small but don’t let that fool you, the staff are super friendly. They will make sure that you feel welcomed.

Great new little Vietnamese place in Spring Valley. Seating is sparse at the moment, but is coming soon. I stopped in after work and ordered a large bowl if bun with BBQ Pork and egg rolls with a glass of their iced green tea for $ 7 and some change. You order at the counter. The bun was a handsome bowl with all the ingredients strategically placed around the bowl( ). Everything tasted great, including the savory and tender BBQ grilled pork, but I just wished they put more of it in the bowl( ). The two egg rolls were terrific and were my favorite park of my meal. They were well fried to a great golden brown and were exceptionally crispy( ). Their ingredients inside, the ground pork and glass noodles were great( ). The vermicelli was soft and mild in flavor, so I added a little fish and soy sauce, which did the trick, so I happily slurped them down( ). A great bowl of bun, but with more pork, it would of been fantastic. By the way, I always love those crushed peanuts and fresh herbs in this dish. The two employees that were working at the time of my visit, were quite nice, and they informed me that they plan to remove the buffet line that the old eatery left behind, to provide more seating inside( ). Buntastic Eats!
