I had an appt. With GPS plumbing yesterday and they never showed. They did call me and reschedule for today at 730 in the morning. Which was fantastic. Manny came by and was personable and professional. He had to trouble shoot to see what the exact issue was and found it. It wasn’t even a plumbing issue but he provided a temporary solution for us until a maintenance man is able to come fix it. I appreciate his effort and time. Manny was great! Thank you.

GPS is as good as it gets. They are responsive and dependable. When something needs to be done, even in an emergency, Jessica, Anthony and their team are right on top of it!
Always available is a plus for property managers like myself.
Generally it would be hard to give 5 stars to the average plumbing company, but it’s easy for GPS.

I discovered that we had a slab leak at 5pm on a Thursday and called GPS to set up an appointment. GPS was at my house at 800am the next day and located the problem area quickly, it was under the tile floor. GPS recommended the pipe re-​route to avoid future issues and costly concrete cutting, along with the floor tile repair. The job was complete in 2 days and I will be using them from now on. It was easy to tell they were up to any challenge and they did a clean job! I highly recommend them!

GPS Plumbing repaired a leak in my upstairs neighbor’s bathroom that was showering water into my apartment. Penny Realty in PB managed the apartment above mine, and they were the ones who hired GPS.
GPS was so efficient and I never even actually saw them. Jessica, who set up the appointment, was very friendly and helpful and even called the day before my appointment to remind to leave to leave a key for the plumber. The plumbing repairs only took a day. I believe it was GPS who came back and repaired the damaged drywall. In one day, they fixed the hole in the ceiling, and managed to match the odd paint color and unique ceiling texture exactly so it looked as if nothing happened.
There were some deep scratches in the tub that I assume came from the plumber’s equipment, but other than that, the repairs were done well and the process was hassle-​free.

GPS Plumbing has done extensive work for me. I had a slab leak and they were recommended by a builder. I was in a pinch with my water shut off due to the leak so I went with them. They opened up my walls to run new hot and cold water pipes the entire length of my house. It was a big messy job and they did an impressive job of containment. They also showed up as promised and I was very happy with the lead plumber who was on the job site daily. However, there were a few things that were to be included in the job that they decided not to do even though they said they would do them but because I didn’t get it in writing I had no recourse; changing a fitting of dis-​similar metals and putting a new drain in my sink. They tried to charge me more to do these items and I backed down. Because they had done a fine job of my repipe, I didn’t want to fight with them. About 2 weeks later I found out just how overcharged I had been for the work that was done. 2 competitors said $ 20,000 to repipe my home was almost double what it should have cost. My bad for not shopping around. A year later I had a clogged toilet. They sent a plumber who snaked the toilet but damaged the porcelain in the process. I called the owner, Daniela, to tell her about it. She said she would talk to the plumber and get back to me but never did. I had to drain the toilet and scrub it with a special powder that I bought from a supply store. It helped but there is still some minimal damage. The fact that the owner did not follow through was disturbing and I was charged full freight for the job. Recently, I suspected another slab leak. It was baffling in light of my re-​pipe last year. I suspected a broken drain line from my interior courtyard to the street. I called GPS and they sent 2 guys out to scope my drains lines. They said everything looked fine. Again, I paid full price and was not left with a DVD of the scoping. When it rained the next week I had more water damage. This time I called another company to scope the pipe. They found the broken pipe within 15 minutes and charged me less than GPA Plumbing. I have called GPS three times to tell them about this and request a refund for their scoping. No one calls me back. I am going to dispute the charge with my credit card company and am sadly disappointed by how GPS is handling these matters. Brian is one of their great plumbers. I have full confidence in him. I think they may have some rookie employees and you never know who they are going to send to do your job. Still, the owner should pick up the phone and service the clients and because that is not happening I can’t recommend them. Being owned by a woman is a big plus for me. I like to support mom and pop businesses and especially women owners but their customer service needs improvement.

I had to write an accurate review of my experience with this business after reading the reviews after my experience with this business. I have worked with three different plumbing companies, and my experience with the work from this business is the worst by leaps and bounds. The work they did for me:
1 Kitchen pluming
2 Garbage disposal install
3 Water heater install
This business did the work because my general contractor uses them, not because I picked them.
1 The Kitchen plumbing for the sink was incorrectly done, running a drain pipe for the dish washer diagonally through a cabinet (3 dimensionally) causing back pressure and the washer unable to drain. After repeated complaints, they arrived two weeks later to route the pipe properly.
2 The Garbage disposal had been reused from the previous kitchen. It had never been attached to a dish washer before. My wife repeatedly told the GPS workers this. The first run of the dishwasher resulted in a backup of waste water that resulted in the call above about the wrong pipe install. 2^nd run resulted in a backup again. The 2^nd visit from GPS had them blaming the washer being broken. A service call to manufacturer had a representative come out. He took 3 seconds to solve the problem, finding the knockout plug in the disposal had never been removed. How could a professional plumber miss this simple item twice? Especially after it being pointed out specifically before install!
3 Lastly we had a new tank less water heater installed. The install had hang-​ups because they didn’t have the correct gas hose. They also didn’t have an electrical connection to wire the igniter. I scrambled to get an electrical connection while they ran to the store to get the correct gas hose. When they returned, I had the connection finished, but they installed a hose with a kinked «S» in it because they purchased a hose that was too long. Rather than buy a correct hose, they said they would return later to fix it. That didn’t happen. Packing up their tools, I asked about the installation of the weather cover over the pipes, because it was sitting next to the new install. It was 4 pm, and they wanted to pack up and leave, so in their haste, they again said they would do it later. Months passed, and the kinked «S» gas hose, and the water cover were never installed. I called multiple times, and pleading followed by angry messages followed by threats resulted in only the «S» hose being replaced. Lesson learned, don’t pay them until AFTER the work is done to your satisfaction. Pay first and might never see them again.
I don’t think this business is incompetent. They are cleanly dressed, friendly to your face, and keep their appointments when they say they will. All big plus items in the contractor category, and why I am not giving them a single star. I take issue with the quality of their work and the competence of their staff, and warn any future users that if you do have work done by GPS, you had better know how the job should be done and check it before they leave. The uneducated homeowner may well finding themselves calling a 2^nd plumber to correct the problems GPS caused.

I have been using GPS plumbing for the past year for various small plumbing jobs on my investment property in Pacific Beach. Every time I call they are available and have their technician on site the same day. They have un-​clogged drains for my tenants, replaced a water heater, replaced a garbage disposal, you name it no job is too big or small for these guys.
I would recommend they to anyone!

I just used GPS for a bathroom toliet repair. They were great! My appointment was for Tuesday between 9AM-​11AM. I received a text that morning to remind me of my appointment and then a text again when the plumber was within 20 minutes. They were professional and fast.
