Agundis Tire Shop

Great tire shop! I have gotten new wheels and two sets of new tires here in the last 4 years or so. No issues and everyone is cool. Will keep coming here in the future for anything tire/​wheel related.

Today, my family and I came in to buy 2 tires for our 2007 Lincoln Continental Town car. To make a long story brief with key positive notes from our personal tire shopping experience:
1. Quick Courteous Service.
2. Got a pair of Bridgestone Tires for the price of one tire! :D
3. Comfortable customer waiting area while car is being worked on.
(Key point=it was a very BUSY Monday and they worked on our car less than one hour). The waiting area was filled with new and past customers!
4. Great Group of Guys working front desk! They made us feel Welcomed.
5. They have a beautiful salt water Extra large Aquarium tank. I got a kick watching the EEL, Trigger fishes swimming about! Totally Relaxing! :D
6. 2 large assortments of vending machines drinks and snacks.
7. My bill came to $ 134.00! Yes! And Big 0 Tires quoted $ 175.00 each per tire not including labor! GOD-​Bless Your Shop! You Gained a loyal customer and we promise to spread your tire shop location to all our family, friends and colleagues.
8. One thing also: these guys Love to fish (photo on wall) that was a positive sign. :D.coming from Hawaii that’s what we do!

Can’t say I’m all that impressed. I decided to drop over a grand at Agundis based on all the great consistent reviews here but left with a bad taste in my mouth. Sure new tires were put in, but would I recommend this place? Probably not.
I researched a good amount before I decided to give my business to Agundis. I called two Land Rover dealerships, a few local tire shops, and Costco. Costco offered KILLER deals (and FREE patching) but with one caveat– it would take all day to get my tires changed. To me, that’s just not worth my time.
I called Agundis and asked if they match competitor pricing. Mike told me with A LOT of hesitation «Yes». I said, «Look, I’m not looking to take you guys all the way down dirt cheap like Costco but I’d much rather give business to a local place than a big box store».
*Meaning, if you give me a good deal I’ll pay more than Costco prices and increase your revenue even if you’re not making a full profit from me.
*Meaning, Costco could easily get this job but I’m giving it to you instead.
Business 101. Increase sales to expand your business. Take most business at full price but occasionally take lower margin deals in order to secure sales. A good experience from me would likely result in multiple referrals and a 5-​star Unilocal review. Equals more business. But I’m not here to school anyone so I digress…
Mike says «okay, I can get you a deal». He said that he could give me a deal on a set of Michelins. The «MXM4’s» to be exact. I told him I would have to call him back later. I called Costco and asked the guys how much their MXM4’s were. They said, the MXM4’s are SUPER OUTDATED, by about 3 generations. You might want to get the current model the Premier LTX… and the new one is actually cheaper.” I should have stopped at that point and given my business to a more honest guy, COSTCO, but I didn’t. I wanted to stay with the smaller local guy. Stupid me.
I called Mike back and told him what Costco informed me. I’m no tire expert but I felt that he tried to sell me his old crappy stock to get rid of inventory without informing me what I was getting «for a deal». Dishonest in my eyes.
I showed up the next day at Agundis and walked in. Mike was at the counter but didn’t look up once. So I stood there VERY awkwardly, in middle of a room full of customers for a good 10 minutes while he fiddled with the computer, talked to 2 OTHER customers (STILL not acknowledging my presence), and then left altogether to move someone’s car. No hello, no thank you for waiting, etc. Finally, another guy came up to the counter and asked if he could help me. He took my keys and then I realized he didn’t have any identifying uniform that indicated he was with Agundis. Stupid me again. Could have handed my keys to a complete stranger on the street.
Over an hour later, my car was ready. I was already in a weird mood based on my lackluster customer experience, and was then further insulted by Mike who informed me that they don’t do free patching. So I open my car door and SEE GREASE MARKS staining my driver’s seat. Dark marks on my WHITE leather. Just great. So now I’m sitting here at the car wash spending more time getting my car cleaned. Unhappy and would not recommend. Overall an unpleasant experience which costed me more money and more time at the end. No thanks.

Family owned business; these dudes are honest, friendly, and do awesome work! I’ve been bringing my ’99 4Runner here for 3 years, and never been disappointed. And the waiting room is pleasant too!

These guys are the best, always have a great experience here. Great service, super nice and they do a great job. Prices were the lowest too. Highly recommend for either alignments or tires, thanks!

They did an excellent job. The only thing is that it took 45 – 60 mins till my car was back and nobody approached me to tell me estimated waiting time. A bit more information on the process would help

Best place to take your car for anything. Been coming to them since they were at the old shop would not trust my cars with any other shop. They are very knowledgable on what needs to be done and tries to give you a best price on everything.

Well so proud of my hometown I got a flat visiting mom is So City and of course it was sidewall damage. The tire I need would not be available till Tuesday and being Saturday I didn’t think I was going to make it back home to Discovery Bay. I was hooked up with a used tire in excellent condition for a great price even knowing I was gonna buy the new replacement elsewhere. It’s was a crazy busy Saturday and all I saw were smiles and a group of employees working like clockwork. Very impressed and a customer for life. Since mom still lives in SSF she will be getting a new set from here

I been here several times now and they have done a great job everytime… Really fair pricing and awesome service!

I’ve been bringing 3 of my cars here for a few years and I completely trust these guys. They do solid work, are friendly and knowledgeable. They usually get me in no problem and if they don’t do a type of service they are up front about it and don’t act like they can do everything.
I’m often surprised when I get the bill from them because it tends to be lower than i’m expecting. Keep up the great work Agundis!

This shop was a recommendation from my boyfriend’s, friend’s, cousin’s friend (lol! I know a guy who knows a guy…). I was told by the Honda service rep that I needed to get my brakes done ASAP, «like next month» he said. It was $ 600+ at Honda and I looked at him like he was crazy. I told him that I will come back later (yeah right!).
So I asked around and I heard about Agundis. They did an inspection (for free!) and told me that my brakes are still good and I probably don’t need them done until the end of the year! Plus, they quoted me for much less than what I would have paid at Honda (and that’s with the rotors changed too).
I will definitely bring my little Honda insight here for her maintenance and repair needs. Thank you Agundis for your honest assessment, fair prices, and friendly customer service!

Today, I decided that I would finally address the fact that I desperately needed new tires; as well as being 5,000 miles overdue for an oil change.
I took a chance and called to see if I was able to get both, new tires & an oil change– thankfully they were able to do both, for a reasonable price! Joe, was the gentleman that assisted me with my service, and he was very understanding, friendly, and treated me like I was family!
For the record, I am a full-​time college student that is ballin’ on a budget, not only financially, but also with time. I greatly appreciate their consideration for both my time and money!
This was my second time and I just have to say, that Agundis Tire Shop is amazing! I will continue to take my car to be serviced here, because they treat you like family and do quality work!

Am extremely glad having brought my 2008 Toyota Prius for servicing at this shop after a very disappointing experience with a run-​of-​the-​mill service outfit in Sacramento where I recently relocated. Prompt and very courteous attention started my day and a thorough assessment of my vehicle issues was very reassuring even after I picked up my vehicle at the appointed time. I wouldn’t really mind the hour and a half drive time for my car’s next maintenance check up by them.

I brought my car in to this place a couple times to have my tires replaced, and they did a great job with that. However, my third experience was questionable. After getting my two front tires replaced from this shop on a new/​used car I purchased, they told me that I needed my front brakes replaced, including pads and rotors. According to the them, it was a matter of time until my brakes would begin to grind; they gave it a week. The quote I received – parts and labor – was just under $ 550. Hmmmm… because I was on a budget, I had to prioritize my repairs. To get a second opinion, I had another reputable shop check my brakes, and to my surprise these guys tell me that my brakes were in great condition and didn’t require any work. Wow! Really?!
Agundis tire shop offers great customer service – that I give them – but lying to customers about their cars is absolutely unacceptable.

Wow! I’m literally sitting in front of the shop, in my car, writing this review because they are THAT GOOD.
I came in with a friend today, unannounced, no appointment, to replace all 4 of my tires. They gave me a quote (faaar lower than I’ve heard anywhere) and guaranteed it to be done within the hour.
We walked to Jack in the Box to grab a bite to eat and I got a phone call 20 min later saying everything was done. How freaking awesome is that? Great service and friendly staff. Will definitely come back and recommend this place!

Love this place!!! Great deals for gently used tires that last! My tires were bald so I had to go in to replace them. They found some pretty much new tires for me and the cost was excellent. It didn’t kill my wallet like those other chain places. The staff is efficient, friendly and tries to help the best they can. I would definitely go back here for any future car issues.

Agundis has been and still is my go to Tire/​Wheel shop! Their expertise and knowledge of fitment is on point. Thanks to Joe for getting the perfect offsets and tire choice for the Wife’s CT200H!

First time I brought my car here they took good care of it but second time around they didn’t give a shit and ended up cracking my front bumpers carbon fiber lip, over torqued my lugnuts, two of my studs came off because they over torqued it, chewed one of my lug nuts to the point I couldn’t even put a socket over it, and poorly stretched one of my tires onto my wheel. When I got that tire taken off I noticed that the sidewall was damaged badly also the bead of the tire which is why it never beaded all the way to the rims lip.
It pisses me off because they didn’t take care of my car or say anything about cracking my front lip and their mechanic was a dumbass who recommended I run 100 psi on my stretched tires driving home. If I didn’t speak up to bring it back down to 40 psi i’m sure they would’ve let me leave with 100 psi in my tires. Which could of lead to a lawsuit.
This is the last time I bring my car to this shop and i’m never going to recommend this place to friends, family, or new people I meet.

Have been bringing my cars here for a the past few years on all tire related issues. Never waited more than a few minutes to be helped. Work is always done quickly. Just pulled in — flat tire — no appointment — asked if they could take a look. Was tile that they have it done in 15 – 20 mins. Wow.
27 minutes later I was out the door!

Big tire$ cost a lot of greenback$.
Sandy needed new tires, and I noticed that my front left tire had a metallic type debris that was embedded on the tire. Of course, you wouldn’t want to pull it out since that could make it worse, and driving under that condition was only a matter of time before something goes wrong. Sandy’s are 19 inch rims and I knew it was going to set me back, but it needed to be done.
Luckily, I remember my cousin checking-​in here last year and said they were the best in the business. I believed him, but of course I had to shop around first and called a dozen other shops from San Francisco to the Peninsula, who all quoted me from $ 1,100 — $ 1,500 for a new set of tires. Agundis gave me a quote of under 1K for the same type of tires and I made the appointment right away. They didn’t have it in stock, but they could order it and it should be there the next day.
It was a Thursday, and the appointment was for 10AM on Friday the next day and was informed it would take a couple of hours. My son and I drove there and arrived approximately 10 minutes prior to our appointment and they told me the tires were already there. We waited in their waiting room and sat on one of their comfortable leather sofas expecting to be there for a couple of hours. The place was busy and there was plenty of other customers already waiting before and after us and was already in the mindset that it will take a while.
I didn’t mind (maybe except for my son) as they had plenty of magazines to read and a large monitor to watch Maury Povich say, «You are not the Father!» Not my cup of tea, but they had plenty of sports and car magazines I could peruse.
Less than an hour later, they said Sandy was ready with her four new sets of thick wheels and she was looking sexy. The price was as quoted and included the tires being balanced and the information about the warranty. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised and the thought of driving once again without having to worry if one of the tires was going to explode is priceless.
You can’t put a price on peace of mind.
