With over 30 years of combined experience, there isn’t a job too big or too small that we can’t handle! Even with our extensive knowledge we are constantly continuing our education in regards to the latest in automotive collision and refinishing technology.

Tommy, Parker and David L.

Business Owner

Tommy is not only co-​owner of Precision Auto Body, but also the «body man». Tommy’s been in the auto body business for over 17 years. He’s the person responsible for taking your car apart, repairing any damage, and piecing the puzzle back together.

Parker is the «artist» a.k.a painter extraordinaire. Parker has been in the industry for over 18 years. He’s responsible for making the coat of paint on your vehicle look as great as the day you got; if not better.

David is Precision Auto Body’s operations manager. He does his best to make sure your experience with Precision is always a great one. All customer service issues are handled by him from estimates, to shuttle service, all the way to insurance claims. With over 8 years experience in the industry he knows what it takes to make customers happy.

They are simply AWESOME! Reliable and honest. I took my car in for a self-​pay repair. David (the manager) is very easy to talk to. Price is very reasonable and the quality of work is flawless! Look no further! They will treat your cars like they their own. Highly recommend!

I got into a car accident on Friday the 13th. My car was pretty messed up. It had to be towed. Anyways, my dirty, messy car landed at precision, which i didn’t know was a hidden gem. Tommy kept me in the loop and explained to me what is going on. The plus side they CLEANED MY CAR and ORGANIZE my stuff in boxes! Whhhattt. Mind you i have a very messy 2 year old. I went to pick up my car today and am totally impressed! Thank you Precision for job well done.

This body shop is just amazing! When it comes to body shop and body repair there are couple of main points you want to keep in mind: quality of job, honesty/​fairness, reasonable price. These guys have them all. From the moment you leave your car there you feel safe. David keeps you updated with any new information from dealing with insurance to sending you pictures of the progress. The phenomenal costumer service that you receive here which I have never gotten from any shop before (been to at least 9 different shops all over bay area) makes you believe in the process. David was so kind and friendly but at the same time very professional. They will hook you up with any service you can possibly think of (from free oil change to giving/​picking you up for a ride). A family run business that I would recommend to anyone in need. We need people like them in the industry.

Fantastic place! About a few months ago I got a hit and run and to be honest this isn’t my go to shop, so I was a bit skeptical at first. However, they were very welcoming especially Tommy! He accommodated to all my needs and finished my car within time frame! When I saw my car, everything looked as if it was new! Will Definitely recommend my friends and family to come to this shop! Super efficient and will always keep you up to date! Will most likely be back!

Wanted to get my door panel aligned/​reinstalled (had installed it myself, but wasn’t properly aligned). Called them at 5pm, brought the car in at 5.15pm, got it back at 5.45pm. David was extremely helpful, and helped me diagnose a possible source of a squeaky noise.

My Subaru STI was a victim of a hit and run, and it so happens this was the first accident that this 2008 model has been in. Naturally, I wanted someone to really take good car of this car. Luckily I was able to find Precision Auto Body.
From the initial phone call to the pick up I felt taken care of as a customer. Tommy gave me a ride back to my house when I dropped off my car, kept me apprised of the situation so there were no surprises with phone calls and voicemails, and even kept my car for almost a week after it was done because I was out of the country. They color matched the paint well and from what I can see it’s a top quality job. I WILL be bringing my other cars here as well if I ever have any issues.

I was recommended to them by my dealership — Livermore Subaru, which has amazing customer service. Came in with a ding on my roof after talking on the phone, and received a more than reasonable estimate to redo my roof and to make it perfect again.
However, the customer service here is phenomenal. So human and personable. They were kind enough to explain the details of the issue, how it can cause rust and that it can be patched for now and just needs to be monitored to make sure permanent damage isn’t done. They even were so kind as to apply rust remover and my touch up paint for me, for no charge! I felt very taken care of as a person as well as a customer.
I’ll definitely be coming back to redo the paint on my roof here. No question about it.

I was referred to Precision AB by a friend after smashing my car into a pole. They did such an outstanding job I was inspired to do a Unilocal review. First of all they were very friendly and made me feel good about leaving my car w them. David dealt with my insurance company and made this experience as painless as possible. They completed my extensive repairs on time and my car looks like new again. I was blown away by the attention to detail and overall workmanship. They even detailed my car. My car was «hit and run» — which is so frustrating! But working with Tommy at Precision Auto Body helped ease the process a lot. He is professional and friendly and very flexible. The insurance company paid immediately b/​c they trust him so much. The work was done well, and quickly. Also, they helped with every process from getting the claim submitted to payment to getting the rental car to picking the car up. I hope I don’t need more bodywork on my car, but if I do, I’ll go here for sure. AND recommend them to everyone!

This place is wonderful! I had a dented fender and got a quote from Tommy on a Saturday morning (open on Saturday!!!) The price was reasonable and the work was AMAZING. I dropped off my car without any hassle. My car was returned on time without any complications and the paint job was impeccable — like nothing ever happened!

I didn’t have any major car work performed here, just some minor custom work. I just purchased some new wheels for my car and I wanted to have my factory center caps paint matched.
Precision did a good job at paint matching the center caps to my aftermarket rims, it was pricey but I think it was worth it. I wouldn’t have any hesitation about bringing any custom paint jobs here! Thanks again, guys!

Someone managed to walk furniture (a wooden table) into the passenger door of my BMW M Coupe, which resulted in a pretty gnarly thumbprint-​sized ding, along with two smaller creases lower down on the door. The car is otherwise babied, so I was pretty heartbroken to see it in that state thanks to some careless furniture mover.
I actually investigated paintless dent repair here on Unilocal,and sought out the guy with the best reviews in the Bay Area. I showed him the car, and he said that due to the severity of the thumbprint ding the only way to repair it properly was with bodywork and paint. Again, super bummed as this car has never had any body panels re-​painted before, much less had any bodywork done.
So I looked up the best body shops in the Bay Area, and contacted these guys. The Lees are nice folks, and I knew that a family run business would probably take more pride in their work that the dealership body shop I was also considering.
I decided to have them paint and install new BMW factory aero side skirts while they were at it. Now, a couple of things happened:
1) They worked the dings out of the door with paintless dent repair. Frankly, I’m still shocked and in disbelief. This ding was gnarly, and the metal had clearly been stretched. The other PDR guy didn’t want to do it. The Lees must know some PDR wizard who is otherwise off the radar, because wow… It’s literally impossible to find the ding. Unreal.
2) They paint matched the new aero side skirts with black sapphire metallic, which is a little tricky to match perfectly. The did an awesome job, installed them and even tracked someone down to expertly install the 3M paint protector I had requested before picking it up.
In short, awesome work by good guys at a reasonable price. My mind is still blown by that paintless dent repair result. Just unreal.

I have joined the list of extremely satisfied customers for Precision Auto Body. The Lee brothers are so nice, expert at what they do and deliver universe-​class customer service. I would give them a thousand stars if I could. I got rear-​ended in my brand new Subaru Outback. The wonderful tow truck driver gave me two cards and asked which one I wanted him to take me to. One was in shadow; the other had Light pouring from it and surrounding it. Guess which one I picked? Right: Precision Auto Body. Tommie and David Lee were so kind to me which was just what I needed immediately after the shock of the accident. I followed my intuition and entrusted my car to them. When I got to the office I Unilocaled them and saw 5 stars!!! The Light is always right.
The communication I received from Tommie Lee was always clear, too the point and kept me in the loop as much as I needed to be.
After a month and a half I got my Subaru back in flawless condition. I could not ask for more. Thank you so all so much.

I called around different shops this morning looking to upgrade my fog lights. I already have the parts, just looking to have them installed. I spoke to Tommy, he gave me a fair estimate and in 10 minutes I was in the shop. Tommy said it will be ready in an hour or 2. An hour and a half later, he called, and I had my car back.
They did a great job on the install, quick and easy service! Will definitely come back to them in the future.

This guys are great!
I came to precision a couple months ago for a second opinion after going to an «insurance recommended shop» and getting a quote that suggested some superficial repairs that didn’t make sense to me.
From the starts the guys at Precision explained how the repair needed to be done and they took over communications with the insurance company.
During the whole process they kept me updated. They did quality work in a timely manner.
Come see this guys for your second opinion or your first, after you talk to them you will feel more confident on what to do and who to trust for your repair.

I went here after my right door and fender got hit. The shop was recommended by my dealership so I drove the extra mile out there. I was immediately impressed with their customer service. Very professional, yet personable and friendly. They dropped me off/​picked me up at Bart so it was actually no problem to to bring my car there from the city.
What impressed me even more was how serious they actually take their commitment to customer satisfaction. When, a few weeks after picking up my car, I noticed a rather minor but noticeable imperfection in the paint-​job I drove back there to show them and was prepared to deal with the usual «I don’t see anything /​this is normal…» other shops would have given me. What happened was that apparently the factory paint was faulty and developed an unevenness in one area of the door when fully drying/​hardening out.
Instead of trying to get rid of me they looked at, immediately confirmed my concern and dealt with it. They did the whole job over and delivered the promised results. Long story short, the door now looks completely new (and it’s shiny black — so you really see every imperfection). They did beautiful work. And the initial mistake was not their fault but defective paint from the dealership. I just dropped off some parts for my vintage motorcycle to be painted.
