Finally getting the windows tinted on my Chevy volt. I searched these guys out as they are the only guys in town that offer both 3M and pinnacle 1 tint. (The best product out there) The Service was helpful in choosing the shade I wanted to go with, having samples to guide my decision. Book early cause they are in high demand esp during the summer months. I waited till the winter which seemed to be better. I would definitely recommend these guys to a friend who wanted their car done right. (As there are allot of shady people in the industry) these guys are not!

Very good results of the window intending on our house. They came out and provided an estimate (reasonable based on what else I’ve seen). Cut the glare and heat in the summer months with an added level of privacy. Highly recommend.

Casey at TGC came very highly recommended. I came in to get all windows on my black BMW tinted. They were very helpful in the shade selection based on my needs. Casey did a great job when he was done but when I got home I noticed the driver’s side window did not look right. There was a small 1″ line which looked like a ripple. I called Casey and first of all he apologized and explained that this was a manufacturer’s mistake and he’s had to return products back to them because of this, but this was covered under the warranty and he’d be happy to replace it. I went back this weekend and was in and out in about 30 minutes. Casey was able to replace the the tint on that window and it looks great. I will definitely be recommended my friends and will go back again myself if I have the need to.

Brought my car here 5 years ago to get the back windows tinted and it has held up wonderfully. I decided I finally wanted the front 2 windows to be tinted and came back here. The guy was very helpful in helping choose the right % of tint. He did a good job and will definitely be back here when I get another car one day!

TGC replaced the interior anti-​glare coatings in our house about 3 years ago. We have wood windows. In the process of removing the coatings, TGC shredded the wood frames adjacent to the glass. This was literally a hack– job
I was unwell at the time and accepted a token discount on the installation. In retrospect, I should have withheld payment and taken them to court. Durable repairs are impossible, and suboptimal/​temporary repairs are difficult.
We are extremely disappointed.

This place is awesome. Good service, with a smile, and they even folded my sun-​blocking front and rear view window reflectors up neatly, which I never do. The tint looks PERFECT and it comes with a lifetime transferrable warranty. Awesome.

We have a cottage in the center of Carmel. When the sun strikes the back of the house (and the skylights), it tends to substantially increase the temperature inside the house and also fade the carpets/​furniture etc. To combat this, we asked Donald Hansen of Transparent Glass Coatings to look at the situation, give us a recommendation and a price to solve the problem for us. Long story short, he and his company really delivered. The team that came to fit the window coatings were on time, polite, professional and really took care. The finished product is excellent. The temperature in the cottage hardly fluctuates at all, even when the full blast of the sun beats down on the windows and skylights. We are very, very happy with the difference it has made to our home and would recommend Donald, his team of craftsmen and his company to anyone.

Awesome people, great service. I just needed a bit of partial mirror film for a school project and they helped me out perfectly. The project turned out great all thanks to them. On top of it all they had the exact grade of mirror film I was looking for. Great service.

Fantastic work and service. I made the mistake of taking my car to Platinum Tinting in Watsonville, where they applied metalized tint and snipped the wires to my third brake light. Platinum refused to fix the wires and remove the tint after it was determined to have made my AM Radio unlistenable.
I called TGC and they got me in that Saturday (awesome!). Casey did a meticulous job on the back window of my Civic Coupe, and was generous enough to remove the old tint for free. While I had to pay a bit more, the product is much higher quality (I can hear Giants games again!), I’m backed with a lifetime warranty, and the customer service can’t be beat.

Just had Spectra PhotoSync tint applied to my 2014 Porsche here. Casey, the installer, did an IMPECCABLE job. I’ve had bad past experiences with some other tint shops so I knew what to look out for and Casey made none of those mistakes. He’s a real pro and a very nice guy. He has an EXTREMELY high level of attention to detail and keeps working until it’s perfect. I watched nearly the entire time and it’s clear he’s very skilled at what he does. I am one of the most anal-​retentive people on the planet, and I don’t say that lightly, and Casey and TGC did a terrific job on my car. I was dreading having to get it tinted but it went off without a hitch. Thanks, Casey and TGC.

I just had TGC install solar film over 10 skylights and over 70 glass panes in my house.
The good: the films seem to actually reduce the heat in my house, especially through skylights. Decent nce people ok to be working around my home and small children. Installers worked hard on site and films appear well installed. Sales adjusted when I wanted to add or subtract windows from job. Appear to give price cut although I have a feeling they have a nice profit margin.
The bad: could not really articulate why he recommended film over windows that are already low-​e (neither could installer who said call sales guy). Sales guy assured me 100% at estimate time that installers would not pass over solar panels to get to skylights; installers insisted that was only way to get to skylights because they were not told they needed a high enough ladder and crossed solar panels again and again. No one told me the service would leave all my window exteriors (and interior double pane inserts) streaked from them washing the one surface they’d apply film to (with spray baby shampoo and water), leaving me with a whole house of windows to now get washed. Not a happy feeling after over $ 3500 bill. Send a window washer with you, guys, so I am not looking at messed up windows through my new expensive film. Installers were given the wrong pane count (about half of actual) and not scheduled for enough time. They either broke or misplaced a wand from my blinds and left it missing without telling me.
Overall I hope the product achieves what I need but there were communication problems. Sales and installation need to get on the same page.

I just bought an older used station wagon last week and needed a bit of tinting for privacy. I called TGC. Casey looked up the model and gave me a reasonable quote over the phone. I checked other places, but didn’t get that great of a feeling. Made an appointment and got in the next day. Casey held to the quote and did a terrific job! The car looks so COOL! Yes sir! Tons of options displayed in the office. Tinted my Wrangler out with the «Pinnacle» Limo Tint! Looks sick, jeep is ten degrees cooler in the sun for sure! Family owned and run– Derek was very professional as an owner, and Casey did top notch work on my windows, which had clearly seen better days before he worked his magic on my seemingly permanent water spotting, brush scrapes, and the like. Great place, done in one afternoon– Yes sir! I recommend.

I recently wanted to get my windows tinted and after searching online, and having some good friends point me in the right direction i was able to find TGC AUTO and i couldnt be more satisfied. When i walked in i was helped by Bryan, and he took the time to explain every different kind of tinting option there is. I was blown away i had no idea there were so many different options. I next began talking to Bryan about my particular type of car, i was weary because i have an older car, a 1987 chevrolet caprice classic, and i had already been told by a different company that they would not work on my car because it would take too much time. But when i told Bryan what kind of car it was he didnt even skip a beat and told me it would be no problem. During the time of me being told my options, and my confusion of what to do, the owner Derek came out and started talking to me about my options also. After explaining my car to him he actually recommended to me, a style that would look good but not be as expensive… Not every day the owner is willing to help save you some money its usually the other way around. I scheduled an appointment and dropped it off the next day where Casey worked on my car and actually personally called me the second he was done to let me know it was ready to be picked up. When i got my car back it looked AMAZING, the tint was incredible! I couldnt be happier with my car and the service i got at TGC AUTO, i work locally and if anybody ever asks me for a great window tinting shop i wont even hesitate to send them here, real professionals.

I have a habit of changing cars every 2 years or so, so this place has gotten a lot of my business. I have had at least 5 cars done here between my wife and myself. They always do an excellent job and are competitive with price. I was in there the other day and Casey was tinting my new car. I had an appointment from 12 – 5. I showed up late, but he was still nice and finished it at 5. I showed up early and I saw him triple check everywhere for any bubbles. I guess I’ll be back in a couple years. :)

I got my boyfriend’s windows tinted for his birthday. I was referred to TGC by by one of his friends. So, naturally I checked Unilocal and saw it get ripped. Obviously, it made me a little nervous. But, decided to trust my friend over the one random negative review. They were super friendly and informative when I called them. I paid over the phone and my boyfriend was able to schedule himself. They were very flexible with his constantly evolving schedule. Anyhow, his tint was done nicely. We had wished that we had taken it there sooner. I would highly recommend.

I had a good experience with TGC about 6 years back when they tinted a couple cars for me, but things have definitely changed since then. I paid a TON of money to get my car tinted by the «best» place in town with the high quality 3m film they recommended. About 6 years later, the tint on the back window began to bubble (hey that’s fair, its been great for a long time), but luckily for me, my tinting came with a lifetime warranty for materials and labor. Sweet right?
So I head into to have them replace it, 6 years is a pretty good run and I understand things like this happen. The tech I talked to on the way in says it’s not rare to have a back window bubble like that, and I should just go in and make an appointment to have it replaced, no big deal.
When I got inside to talk to the owner of the business and her front desk guy Mark, they let me know that they no longer carry 3m film. Thats cool, just replace it with whatever you’ve got right? The warranty is from 3m but is specific to this dealer so…
Much to my dismay, they say that since they don’t stock 3m film, that I will have to take my car somewhere else to have it replaced. In Marina. That is still fine, as long at it is free right? Thats what the warranty says, «Materials and labor will be free of change». They give me the name of this other place, and when I call they say, reasonably so, that they can get the film under warranty, but I will have to pay for labor unless I have it done at the original dealer, TGC. 3m says they can reimburse the original dealer for materials, but the warranty for labor is only good at TGC. Perfect.
I went back to TGC and explained the situation to Mark, I had the tint done here and I just want it replaced for free like the warranty says, right? Nope. Would TGC reimburse the other company for the labor? Nope. Can they do anything to help me? Nope. Do they care? Big NO.
I’m pissed I have to pay to have it fixed, but I am even more pissed that I have to take all my cars to be tinted somewhere else because the work and service I received from this place in 2005 was awesome.
Bottom line, if this place offers you a warranty, you better hope that when that tint fails, they still contract with the company that made that tint. If they don’t, like 3m, all of the «Lifetime Warranties» they hand out aren’t worth the card stock they print them on.
