Unilocal really brings out the best in recommending best auto repair shops! My passenger rear window was smashed and Nelson still gave me an appt on a busy Friday for them. Although I had to wait 2.5 hrs for the replacement to come up from San Jose, they installed it for a great price (beats all competition prices) and gave awesome service. Car is back in working order and I would recommend them to all of my friends for any window repairs! Thank you Secureway Auto and Glass!

Unilocal reviews don’t lie. (at least in this case!)
Rock hits windshield and makes a long hairline crack. Called up Secureway around 9am in the morning, they worked with my insurance, ordered the glass replacement and had it installed and ready for pick up by 3pm same day. Nelson was cordial, professional and easy to work with.
Will easily recommend this place to anyone that’s looking to do auto glass repair or replacement.

Someone smashed my passenger rear window at the Mission St Garage last night. =(They didn’t take anything but Happy Holidays to you ahole.
Called at 8am this morning and Nelson quoted me $ 195 and said as long as I confirmed by 9am (to order the glass), they could work on my car at 11am. Same day appointment, nice!
I said thanks and I’d call him back so I could call around. Safelight was $ 150 more and couldn’t see me til a few more days and a few more highly rated/highly reviewed businesses were at least $ 50 more with similar appointment times to Secureway. Easy decision.
Dropped the car off at 11am and it’s gonna be about 1 hour 1.5 hour wait. I walk outside and guess what happens to be across the street that just opened up? Blackhammer brewing. Score!
Nelson calls me at 12:30 to pick up my car. They did a good job. I have a replacement windsheild from safelite and it’s the same brand as that. It passes the eye level test in terms of quality of product. For quality of work, I haven’t tested it yet since it needs at least 24 hours before I could roll the window up/down. There’s a few light scuffs on the inside of the door panel and the window weather stripping from the install. I also found a few remaining tiny bits of glass by the floor mats. There would be some major «wow factor» if they took care of this before returning the car. I’m bouncing between a 4 and 5 but for the price and availability given the holidays I’m satisfied.

I couldn’t be more pleased with the quality of work, cost, and service excellence I experienced at Secureway. After having my car window smashed by a knucklehead thief (now wearing an old and really beat up pair of Ray-Bans), followed by the first rains SF has experienced in a generation, I was in desperate need of assistance. Not only did Nelson offer me a very fair price, but he also worked to squeeze me in that same day. Sage did a phenomenal job replacing the glass, and it looks as good as new. He also vacuumed all the broken glass from my car (and my child seat), and even did additional cleaning beyond what was needed. I *will* go back to Secureway any time I have glass issues in the future. Highly recommend these folks!

Quick, professional, competitive prices, thorough and nice service.
Even if it has such awesome food, San Francisco sucks sometimes, especially when you car window has been broken for the 2^nd time in a month. Thus there are numerous auto glass repair shops and unfortunately as a native San Franciscan, I have visited quite a few.
Secureway gave me a quote that was $ 40 less than my usual place. Staff was there with a friendly smile and quick short form. A few hours later, my car was ready.
My car floors were also vacuum very diligently (much better than In and Out Glass) which is super important for kids and dogs.

Had two experiences here. Both times to replace a rear window after my car got broken into.
First time was great, although the window was not properly sealed afterwards (not sure if it was due to the damage or their shoddy work – I brought it back once to have it fixed, but it didn’t make a difference).
Second time, they never picked up the phone for a quote, so I drove there only to find that they didn’t have my window in stock and they quoted me a much higher price than what I had paid the first time. I called around and instantly got a cheaper price, which they offered to match, but I couldn’t wait around for the part to be delivered.
I’m sure this place is fine, just make sure you research prices first.

This is where you want to go to have your windshield replaced. I had 2 cars that needed The Windshields replaced. A 2004 Honda Civic and a 2005 Toyota matrix. Both were quoted $ 100 less then glass plus. I arranged with Nelson to drop one car off the night before and swap the next day. It went flawlessly. Windshields came out great and they even did a little sanding and primer under the windshield because there was a little rust on the Honda at no extra charge since they also do bodywork. This is the types of businesses I will go to in the future. Thanks Secureway!

I started going to Secureway Auto Body and Glass by recommendation from friends. They have been more than accommodating to my busy schedule and are always willing to work around it — That was a PLUS for me. I got my car in the shop the next day! I don’t get into a lot of car accidents or have my car broken into often, but when I do, I bring it here. I’ve gone to way too many bad shops and had to get my car re-done again and again to get it right; wasting my money and my time. Vincent and Nelson took their time to inspect the damage and gave me a realistic turnaround without compromising quality. You can go cheap or you can do it the right way. They did it right the first time and my car is in like new condition.

Nelson is a hero! I was one of the many victims of a broken window, after parking in the SOMA for a couple hours one night. He gave me a fair quote and was able to get me 2 hours after speaking with him. The service lasted 40 mins and then I was on my way. Stellar job, good service, very fair price. Highly recommend!

In seeking a repair shop reviews of those whose vehicles were repaired at Secureway Auto Body & Glass were observed. Based upon the reviews, I decided to have my car repaired at Secureway.
My high expectations were more than fulfilled. I found Nelson Chen at Secureway to be professional, efficient and personable. The cost of repair was less than expected and the work was completed within the period promised. My car looked like new. I, like those who have expressed their total satisfaction, would highy recommend Secureway Auto Body & Glass.

Horrible experience. I must admit they did give a good price, but the dates they stated my window would arrive were wrong, the day my car would be ready was wrong, and the tint I requested was not matched to be as dark as the original I had. Out of all this trouble, both the secretary, and the shop manager Kent said I would receive a discount for my troubles, yet they also failed there, I was fully charged and left extremely unhappy about how they conduct business. I doubt I will ever be back and would never recommend this place to anyone. Now I’m left with a glass that is lightly tinted, *update they had me come back to re-tint the glass again. I had to come back again because I noticed they left a lot of the old broken glass within my car that I could hear moving around. The installer told me there wasn’t much they could do to get all of it out, and that I should just try to shake it out myself and eventually it would all come out over time. They also kept talking to me as if I should know how things work with used parts, how it can take longer than expected, and my response was they shouldn’t even mention a date when the car will be ready if they are not even sure they can deliver on time.

It was good experience and nice place I went to get a new glass for my window some get in to my car. I can’t say it was cheap bcoz some fix their car over there and review that they charge him $ 150 and they charge me $ 180 and my car is older and not a sport or any expensive brand. That’s y 4 star for charging me more.
Other than that good service they clean my car form side quick and great service place nice waiting area is not there but have good place to eat and sit near by.
Once you appoiment it’s very quick.

I went to Secureway Auto b/c they are a block away from my work in SOMA and I needed to replace a window when someone tried to break into my car (also in the SOMA, a notorious neighborhood for car break-ins).
I stopped by in the morning, they ordered the window, came back at noon, and picked up my car an hour later.
easy as that and cheaper than I was expecting.
And they even vacuumed my car of the glass, which I expected but I had gone off-roading the previous weekend and they cleaned all the dirt on my seats and floors too (both front and back!).

Secureway, I’ve never done this, but this review is soley due to your false advertising. You were my immediate #1 choice after I scoured Unilocal: your 412 reviews (vs. my 2^nd choice Glass Plus with 187 reviews). And I appreciated your professional-looking website which I combed through in detail.
When I read on your website big claims like: «We offer a price match guarantee…,» «…the lowest prices in the industry…,» and, in CAPS: «WE BEAT ALL PRICES!» right by your phone #, I should be able to trust that I don’t need to make any further calls. In fact, when I called you, I booked an appointment on the spot.
Thank goodness I still called around for price comparisons. Glass Plus offered me a quote almost $ 100 less than yours. When I called back with that info (because honestly, I still wanted to go with you,) you asked me who and where I got that quote… then said there was no way you could meet that. Shame… I would have still gone with you had you even come close OR your reaction had been a bit more understanding/proactive (as your ability to take me in that same day was appealing and I would have compromised the $ difference).
I do appreciate that you called to let me know after the fact that you couldn’t match the price but you could «knock $ 40 off» but the point is, don’t advertise on your website something misleading. Not cool. Also, thank you for your apology later of being distracted when I called the 2^nd time (I was wondering when «Hello?» was an appropriate way to answer a business phone.)

highway speeds of 70mph… few big rigs up ahead… strong winds and an explosion… assume a rock or debris kicked up by trucks ahead… front door side passenger glass shattered and exploded covering every inch of the car… shards and cubes of glass continuing to fall and fly inside and out… like an eternity to find a safe place to pull over… arriving at secureway auto body and glass at 8am with no appointment… glass ordered… cleaned and installed by 11am same day for $ 165 total… glass clean-up included… although finding chunks of glass between seats and crevices after… paid a car wash to do a thorough job getting all glass out next day… also finding a part fallen off from the same door… not sure how to put it back on… minor problems… still very fast service…

My VW GTI had a long crack in the front windshield so it was time for a replacement. I called Secureway and had an appointment scheduled within 5 minutes on the phone. Great customer service from the front desk which was friendly and to the point. They were able to quote a replacement windshield for $ 100 less than the other Unilocal high-rated places in the area.
The replacement took ~2 hours to complete. Their shop is small so they prefer you to pick up your vehicle ASAP, which worked out well since I work nearby. It was great to have such an easy transaction, no up-sales or hidden costs. I definitely recommend this shop!

This place offers the best service. I only chose this place solely because of the reviews. And they are all pretty accurate.
I called on a Monday morning in a frantic panic hoping my car would get fixed. However, my car is 3 weeks old. A brand new 2015 car and no one had a window in stock because it was a dealer item only. The company was nice enough to order me one with no deposit on hand, but I had to wait 5 – 7 days.
My insurance worked with them to get the glass and take care of the paperwork. I didn’t even know this because I was going to pay cash out, but found out my insurance company has a special window policy! So make sure to check your insurance to see if they offer this.
When my window came, they called me to schedule an appointment. My brother took my car there. They vacuumed and replaced the glass under an hour. I was even able to give them payment over the phone.
Awesome customer service. Can’t tell you enough how much I appreciate having my window fixed!

Unfortunately for me I had my front windshield damaged and needed to get it repaired quickly. I was referred to Secureway autobody and glass by my mechanic who has worked with them for years and validated how good their work was. I decided to do my research anyway and upon seeing the Unilocal reviews as well as reading the comments about there work, I decided to try them out and I’m glad I did.
First thing I noticed was the young lady that runs the office is very informative and straight to the point. She was able to answer all my questions in detail and reassured me that I had nothing to worry about. She got me into the shop in less than 48 hours of my call. She even taught me a few things about my car that I wasn’t even aware of. That alone made me feel more at ease with everything.
When I called I was given a very good quote for my repairs, which was a relief compared to other companies that I called around to. Some of those companies charged me as high as double and needed more than a day to complete the work.
Their work was done in less than 2 hours (very fast) and looked great. They made sure to explain what they did to repair my vehicle and how to maintain their work once I left the shop. It’s as easy as that and I was sent on my way. I must say once again I’m happy I went with Secure autobody and glass and highly recommend them to others.
In my opinion it’s hard to give any business a 5 star rating. They would have to do a lot and go beyond the norm to achieve that. But I must say this place is very close to a 5 start rating based on the work they did.

They are the best. Their customer service is bomb. Unfortunately, a while back I had to replace two windows on my 2008 Prius, within a few years of each other. They were great. Needed it quickly and originally called another place. But their time line was Hella far out. So called them and they said they could fix it the next day.
When I have some extra cash I really want to get my windows tinted here. Their work looks bomb.
