Auto Image Window Tinting

I’ve had over 20 cars tinted in my lifetime and since moving to the peninsula I was lucky enough to find Jeff and his shop. I don’t care if I live 100 miles away, my next car is coming here for tinting. Very professional, clean, and crazy efficient. Everyone of my friends will come here from now on.
On a side note, I find it funny that everyone has 5 star experiences and a few have one star because of scheduling issues, busy phones, or other lame reasons that have nothing to do w the «actual tint job». Leave your car, take a chill pill and be happy w this mans work for the life of your car. Life will be just fine.

They have tinted 4 of my cars and I have never had any trouble with the tint. I have been going here for over 15 years. Excellent tint work and quality tint. My sister also has had 2 of her cars done here. Great Work, as always!

Maybe December is a slow month because I’ve got an appointment within a couple of days. Brought my car today and got Llumar CTX40 on the front windows and CTX30 on the rear windows and glass roof. I was watching them for a moment how they prepared the car and how they applied the film. They work very clean and professional and they take care that almost no water is getting into the doors when applying the film. Jeff was a huge help in determining the right VLT and I’m super happy with the result.
If I need tinting a car again, I’ll come back for sure! Great shop!

These guys are going to be my go-​to folks for auto tinting. Since my car had a fix-​it ticket in regards to the front windows, I scoured the internet for a respectable place, and lo and behold, Auto Image, with its amazing reviews from all over, shows some potential!
Oh you’re in the right place when you see a Ferrari 458 and a Audi S4 sitting patiently in the garage, waiting for the masters of window tint to finish the job. Careful and meticulous is what I would call the staff. Definitely friendly and professional. Enjoy the free drinks and chips. Wait a bit.
30 – 35 minutes for a window tint removal? Check.

Got a quote online that was pricey – $ 275-​$ 300 for back windows on my Golf. Read previous reviews from less than a year ago that said they had the same work done for $ 200-​$ 225. The person I was corresponding with said «yes we raised our prices» when I asked about this, but 40%?? In one year? Sounds pretty dishonest/​like a joke to me, even if they do a great job.
I tend to think that a lot of automotive type places try to rip me off because I’m a woman. Hopefully this wasn’t the case here but I informed the guy I was talking to that I would be taking my business elsewhere because I didn’t want too get ripped off.

Have to give them 5 stars for their workmanship. It’s as perfect as it can humanly get for tinting. Virtually no imperfections at all.
You’ve to look really really really hard to find any bubbles in the tint. So practically it’s considered perfect.
And their price is reasonable for this level of work.
Only drawback is their schedule is very full, have to wait for a few weeks.

Amazing experience.
I emailed back & forth with Jeff to schedule the appointment.
Google Maps took me to the wrong location and when I called, they were polite & professional when redirecting me.
When helping me select the film, they were direct and knowledgable.
They are fast! They gave me a time estimate of about 2.5 hours to do my rear door windows and back window. They finished in just about 1.5, and were able to do my front door windows (with Llumar Air 80 film).
I chose Llumar CTX 5 for my other windows. My infant son rides in the back a lot, and we want to ensure he is protected from UV Rays as much as possible.
Their after care instructions were thorough and simple to follow.
Lastly, my windows look amazing! Exactly what I wanted.

My car tint is still doing great after 2 years. They were pretty professional and had me dropped off and picked up at the mall.
Usually they are fully booked but i called early morning and they had me squeezed in that day so i was pretty happy

If you need your windows tinted, this is the only place you need to know about. I found them thru Unilocal but found out after booking my appt that a few friends with impeccable taste take all of their cars here.
Fantastic customer service and great communication. They take the time to review all of your options and find the best solution for you. For me, I wanted the rear 5 windows to be dark and sleek looking, UV protection and the best heat reduction for my children in the back seat. And of course, they had the perfect solution for my new car.
You may call and find out there is a waitlist. If so, they are worth the wait!
Their prices are very fair. They will let you know exactly how long it will take and one as the option of dropping off or waiting. They are close to Hillsdale Mall, so that is also a fun option.
I am beyond thrilled with the results. The car looks fabulous! And the tinting has helped tremendously. I will be returning to Auto Image for all of our future cars!

I came here to put tint on, but got pulled over for front window being too dark, came back to remove front tint and get ticket sign of at the police dept, came back to put another tint level back onto my front wondow.
Excellent job, I’ve went to other tint shop for my other cars but their not as good as auto image window tinting.
The other car, had to bring it back because of bubble and corner of window missing tint.
I only had to do the window tint one time at auto image.

I had my car tinted here about a week ago. Great guys and great service. Clean facility and the floor is clean. They take the time to explain the options and are realistic with how long it will take to install.
Will come here again for other cars I will have in the future.

This is THE place to get your widows tinted on your car! I found this place on Unilocal and did an online quote request. Got a response the same day. I called later that same day to make an appointment. One thing to note about this place is that they are booked about 4 – 5 weeks out, so make an appointment early. I wanted a Saturday so I was willing to wait longer for an appointment. Took my car in about 30 minutes before the appointment time and met with one of the owner. He gave me a rundown of the three options for tint. I went with the top of the line 15% tint. Looks great! Service was great and they had the car ready in 1.5 hours.

I wish Unilocal had 6 stars for these guys. I discovered Auto Image from a friend of mine at work who had his BMW 325 done. He read all the Unilocal reviews and was sold. He had me sold on these guys in about 2 minutes. After my own Unilocal research and a quick email exchange with Jeff to review my project and pricing w/​options, trusting my ride with these guys, was an easy decision.
Jeff & Mike treated me very well. Provided me an option to leave my car or wait in the lobby with wifi. I was expecting 2 – 3 hours and these guys did full rear half, front windows and 2 sunroofs on my 2014 Scion tC in 1.5 hours. The lines are flawless. Their recommendations for heat & light % were perfect for what I was looking for.
Jeff squeezed me in because I accidentally got my appointment date wrong. Rather than sending me away for another week, Jeff checked his schedule and made it work for me. Now THAT’S Customer Service!
I’ve been researching tenting shops for about 4 months from both the Bay Area (where I work) and Sacramento (where I live) and their pricing beat Sac prices! That NEVER happens in the Bay. Their shop is clean, organized and their finished work is pristine. They treated me with the utmost attention & professionalism. I wish these guys ran a full-​on speed shop. I’d love to throw more money their way.

At first, I could not believe what I was reading on Unilocal: 1 – 2 month wait for a tint appointment?! Luckily, I was in no rush, as my car was still being built in Volkswagen’s factory in Brunswick, Germany. So I made the appointment…
My car arrived at the dealer earlier than expected and I still had two weeks left for my appointment at Auto Image. I called them up and asked if they had anything open up and if I could move my appointment to an earlier date. Sure enough they did have an opening and I saw them just a few days later.
I brought in my car and I was given a very thorough explanation about the tint, i.e. what to expect, what not to expect, and the do’s and don’t’s. Then I took some time to choose my tint. I thought the decision would be easy based on my experience with Llumar and how it stands up to even the Miami heat — where I used to live — but unfortunately, it was only available in 15% (too dark) or 30% (too light) and I was looking for something right in-​between.
With a little hesitation, I went with the 3M Color Stable in 20%. It looked just as good to me on their demo window and I know 3M has a great reputation for their tint, as well.
I picked up my car the following day and, at that point, I fully understood why Auto Image has such a great reputation. It came out perfect. The application was consistent — no bubbles, no distortion; they even did a great job around the dot matrix.
The tint was even applied right at the outside edge of the door glass. Many tint shops miss this and they leave a sloppy gap between the tint and the edge of the window. It was no surprise that Auto Image got that part right.
All in all, I’m extremely happy with the results and I would recommend Auto Image to anyone.

Great job tinting my 2015 Ford Fusion. I did my research and found all the reviews for Auto Image and was impressed. I scheduled out 2 weeks in advance and was pleased to get a call that there was a cancellation and I was able to get in 5 days earlier.
Had tint done, had one small issue and I came by and it was fixed in 4 minutes.
Top notch job, 5 stars.
Price came out less than the quote which was great.

Found this place via Unilocal.Free snacks while you wait. Book early as it can take a few weeks before you get an appointment. It is about a 1.5−2hour wait time. Nothing to do around that area. No TV in the waiting room either but they offered to drive you to Hillsdale mall.
Friendly service and simple explanations. Expect to spend about ~$ 400 for car window tinting.

I’m a returning customer of Auto Image Window Tinting. I first brought in a 2013 Toyota Prius to Jeff. The tint product installed was the Llumar CTX Front: 70% | Rear: 18%. The installation and workmanship is high quality. A year later and the tint job is still in very good condition. No bubbles. No fading.
Today, I brought in my 2015 STI to tint all 9 windows. I came with high expectations since the work they’ve done on my Prius was excellent. Jeff and his crew did not disappoint. They tinted the windows front: 50% | rear: 35%.
I will certainly refer them to family and friends. I will return to them for my future windows tinting needs. To top off my highly positive experience, for the quality of tint film and workmanship, they offer the best pricing during the time of my shopping throughout the Bay Area.

Second time I’ve had my windows tinted here. Last time was 10 years ago on a Toyota Prius and never had issues during that period… sign of great work and quality film. This time around I tinted my new Mazda 3. Provides sound, honest advice and articulated the benefits and features of each type of film and shade concisely. Not pushy at all. Promised to be done with all 5 windows in three hours and delivered…$ 350 for heat reduction film.
The only issue which really isn’t an issue is that I had to wait 1.5 months to get an appt on a Sat because he’s that busy. Can’t really downgrade them for being in such demand.
Oh, he also took $ 25 off my job for paying cash.
